Japan’s “greatest living artist” designs Juicy Tubes for Lancome!

She’s been called the Princess of Polka Dots, and indeed, over the course of her astounding 60-year career, Yayoi Kusama has blanketed canvases and soft sculptures with them; she’s splashed them floor-to-ceiling in her celebrated installations; she’s polka-dotted tree trunks (notably, at the 2006 Singapore Biennale)—and, during her legendary performance pieces, even people. Now, the avant-garde painter/sculptor/novelist and poet—widely acknowledged as Japan’s greatest living artist—has moved on to . . .lip gloss. In a limited-edition collaboration with Lancôme, Kusama has created six whimsical, polka dot–heavy designs for the brand’s beloved Juicy Tubes, in a new formula free of preservatives and rich in Hungarian honey and shea butter. $15 each, at Nordstrom.

Britney Spears sued for $10 million over fragrance deal!

Britney Spears is being sued by a former business partner for breach of contract, fraud and deceit, according to RadarOnline.com.

Spears and her father, Jamie, are accused of cutting Brand Sense Partner, LLC. out of commission it’s owed on a perfume deal it brokered for the pop star with Elizabeth Arden. Brand Sense and Spears renegotiated their original 2003 deal last year but the brand marketing company is now claiming the new agreement violates the original.

In fact, they claim Spears and her father acted secretly to cut them out of the deal.

“Britney secretly made a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky underhanded effort to circumvent and evade its obligations to Brand Sense,” the suit states. “Effectively, Britney improperly and illegally cut Brand Sense out of the Elizabeth Arden deal.”

The company is seeking declaratory relief in excess of $10 million, as well as, compensatory and punitive damages.

No word yet on the suit from Spears’ camp.

Kate Moss wears Alexander McQueen iconic dress in Harper’s Bazaar

Supermodel Kate Moss pays tribute to the late Alexander McQueen in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, reprising the role she once played as a hologram at the end of the designer’s 2006 runway show.

She dons the ruffled organza dress she wore while an image of her was projected for catwalk watchers. See video of that below.

Her homage is tied to the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” Costume Institute exhibit set to open on May 4.

From the press release:

Kate Moss says about McQueen: “He gave women power, while letting them be fragile and vulnerable at the same time. People always used to say he was a misogynist, but it took me a while to realise that he was actually empowering women and not the other way around.”

Of his legacy she says: “There’s never ever going to be anybody like him. His was the most exciting show to see ever, even if you weren’t there. I would hear about it on the phone and hear Lee and hear everyone. There was so much tension, but we had the best laughs. He was a dear friend of mine. I miss him terribly.”

Daphne Guinness says: “What was so incredible about him was he could do the simplest things and the most complicated things. He was a proper genius, and that is a very overused word. If he’d done art, he would have been the best; if he’d done architecture, he would have been the best.”

Where’s her boob?
