Kylie Minogue has admitted that there are times where she wants to “scream” at how she has aged, comparing her face to “a Spielberg special effect”.

The 44-year-old told Elle UK that although she occasionally feels like bringing “those hot pants out of retirement”, she has started fixating over her appearance.

“I’m not going to lie about this. There are lots of times I look in the mirror and I see that gravity has taken hold,” she said.

“Or I suddenly see my face on a phone or on Skype and it’s like a Spielberg special effect and you just scream, ‘Who is that?’

“Sometimes, I forget [I'm 44] and think, ‘I must get those hot pants out of retirement’ and then some mornings I look in the mirror and I see 94 not 44. That is the reality before the make-up. And midriff tops are definitely out for good.”

Minogue also revealed that she would consider having cosmetic surgery, arguing that it is no different to using make-up.

“I haven’t gone down that route yet and I don’t know whether I will but I’m not against it,” she said.

“We put make-up on every day, we tint, pluck, wax, we do anything to make ourselves look as good as we can and I think it’s pointless being hypocritical about something that if it’s done well can be really good.”

Minogue went on to address her battle with breast cancer and the bond she now feels with every woman who has gone through the ordeal.

“Women come up to me in the street and just start talking to me about what they are going through… I stand there in the street and I just hug them,” she said.

“I hug them because we both know what they are feeling. I feel close to every one of them and I think they do to me, it’s not about anything else but what we’ve all been through.”

Jessica Simpson announced to the world that she’s pregnant for a second time, on Christmas Day. Now, the 32-year-old tweeted a picture showing off how far along she really is!

Jessica posed in front of a mirror, and took the picture of herself in a bikini and robe, exposing her bare belly. She wrote “Bumpin’ and Proud.”

The image comes as Jessica graces the cover of the upcoming issue of the Weight Watchers magazine.

The singer and designer flaunts the results of her 50lb weight loss on the January cover of the diet programme’s periodical, in which she talks about how she slimmed down after the birth of daughter Maxwell.

‘I’m crazy about smoothies, so I bring fruit chopped up and ready to go,’ she explained.

‘That way, I can sip the same smoothie all morning long between takes. If it thins out, I put it back in the blender with crushed ice for a few minutes.’

But since Simpson is now pregnant with her second child, and has relaxed her adherance to the Weight Watchers plan until after the birth.

But she will remain the face of the company and they will continue to run ads promoting the blonde’s 50lb weight loss, as well as pushing a new commercial in which she announces her pregnancy.

Praising her ‘successful’ weight loss, the company added: ‘Jessica will not be following the programme during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician.’

Gotta give the girl kudos. She looks amazing in the picture above.

Scarlett Johansson lands the February cover of Elle UK, and I think she looks gorgeous! Scarlett is still promoting her role as Janet Leigh in ‘Hitchcock’. Sidenote: Did you guys see ‘Hitchcock’? I saw it, and I was very underwhelmed. I felt like there wasn’t any MEAT to the movie. After the movie was over, I thought to myself “Well, what was the point of that movie?” I didn’t feel like there was enough story in the film. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters. It was….. just okay.

Anyway, on the cover, Scarlett is wearing all Victoria Beckham. She looks great. Here’s more from the interview, via Celebitchy:

On turning 30 soon: “I feel like I’ve been transitioning from young woman into womanhood for a very long time. Now as I approach 30, with the last few years behind me, I feel like growing pains are behind me. It’s just nice to feel happy.”

About the phone hacking of her nude pics: “It was a crazy time. I had some problems in my family and publicly, my relationship — all that stuff. It was like ‘Oh man what next?’ But life has ebbs and flows, don’t you think? Things are more manageable now, but I’m sure something will crumble. I keep it together. I am relatively composed but I can also lose my s***. I’m pretty controlled, and probably controlling too, for better or worse. I’m working on it.”

She’s not looking to get married again: “I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It’s hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn’t mean you have to be married. I never think about marriage. Is that weird? The only time I ever think about it is when people ask me. ‘Would I get married again?’ It’s really not important to me. It has no relevance to me right now. I’m not having kids any time soon, I’m in a nice relationship, I’m working a lot and, like I said, it’s not important to me.”

On dating outside of the acting pool: “I think there are challenges whether that person’s in your profession or not. It’s nice that [fellow actors] can relate, and you have a shorthand when you’re talking about work, but that can also be monotonous. For me, most importantly, I look for a partner who is creative. I like people that have a colourful way of looking at things, that are inspiring and like art, music and film’.”

On her unwitting “sexy” image: “I think any woman who is curvy and wears a gown to an event is, like, super-sexualised. I mean, at the time I was 18, 19. I was young. I’ve always been curvy. It runs in the family. Throw on an evening frock and it’s like all of a sudden you have boobs and everyone is like: ‘bombshell!’ Instantly it was: ‘The new Marilyn’.”

This isn’t the first time Scarlett has complained about being sexualized. Enough already. You’re a beautiful woman – and people are going to comment. There are many worse things you could be called than Marilyn Monroe. Ask Lindsay Lohan.

I decided to change things up for fall and go for a deep copper color.
