Lauren Conrad to launch a beauty book!

I have two very exciting things to tell you about today…

First off, I am so excited to reveal the cover of my new novel, The Fame Game!

But, that’s not all… I said there would be a surprise, didn’t I?

Well ladies, in addition to The Fame Game series, I am also working on another book: Lauren Conrad BEAUTY! Like Lauren Conrad Style, my beauty book will be your ultimate guide for all things beauty. In it, I’ll provide my personal insights, instructions and tips to keep you looking glamorous 365 days a year. I’ll address everything from how your diet affects skincare and fun hairstyles for a night out to one simple thing you can do each day to freshen up your look.

I am currently working on Lauren Conrad Beauty and I want to make sure I address all of your questions, because this book is for you. Got questions about hair, makeup, skincare, manicures … or anything else beauty-related? FIRST LOOK! ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Collection to Hit H&M!

H&M has teamed up with ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’s’ costume designer, Trish Summerville, to create a line based on the best selling book’s main character, Lisbeth Salander.

The 30-piece collection will hit stores on December 14, just a week before the movie opens in the US!

“We put a lot of aged-in washes and finishes, which goes along the lines of the Salander character,” Summerville tells WWD. “In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They’re really worn down, they’re dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic feel.”

That’s where H&M came in: the company’s division designer, Anna Norling, tells WWD that her team worked to make Salander’s gear more flattering and feminine. “The collection wouldn’t have looked as it does without H&M because we added the fashion point of view,” she explains.

The line, Summerville’s first, is based on actress Rooney Mara‘s wardrobe from the film, and includes $3.95 tribal-style earrings, a $199 leather jacket, hoodies for $29.95 and lace-up boots for $59.95. There are also T-shirts stamped with Swedish proverbs — used on posters for the film — and a hand-painted design that blends the Swedish and American flags, a look first created for Mara’s February W magazine shoot.

Not surprisingly, the collection received a positive response from Mara and the film’s director, David Fincher. “It’s nice to get her blessing and David’s blessing, and once I showed them the pieces, they were really excited,” Summerville says. “We placed an order for Rooney so she can have one of each thing.”

Perhaps the success will lead to a second run; though Summerville says she’s still waiting to find out if she’ll work on the next film in the series, The Girl Who Played with Fire, she says she’d happily design another Salander line for H&M — or a men’s collection based on Daniel Craig‘s character, Mikael Blomkvist.

Lacey Schwimmer is the new face of Lady Foot Locker!

‘Dancing With the Stars’ pro Lacey Schwimmer is the new brand ambassador for Lady Foot Locker!

“I’m so excited,” she tells PEOPLE of the partnership. “I try to live a balanced, healthy lifestyle and that’s exactly what Lady Foot Locker stands for.”

The professional dancer — who last season, sambaed toward the DWTS finals with Kyle Massey and this season, is paired with Chaz Bono — relies on portion control and regular gym visits to stay in shape. So accordingly, her favorite Lady Foot Locker finds include the gym wear. “My favorite item is the Actra Fitness capri pants — I have one in ever color,” she reveals. “I can hit a movie then the gym in the same outfit, just change it up a little.”

As part of her deal with the company, Schwimmer will pop up on LadyFootLocker.com in November, offering fitness tips and advice to consumers. And it seems like she’s the right girl for the job — not to mention a good role model. “I have curves, boobs and a big butt,” she shares. “But I’m living my life to the fullest, no regrets.”
