They make hairbrushes?

When you hear the name John Frieda you might just think of his popular Frizz- Ease or Brilliant Blonde collections, but did you know they make hairbrushes as well? When I opened the package I thought “oh a hairbrush” little did I know I would come to adore this unassuming brush.

With long, fine, and thick curly hair brushing is always a chore. The brushes that are gentle enough don’t comb all the way through and the brushes that can handle my mane tend to pull to hard and break my hair. The John Frieda cushion brush does an exceptional job on wet hair the cushion helps you comb out your hair completely without pain or breakage. It seems to just slide through my hair making brushing it so easy. Simply put this a a great hairbrush and at $12.99 it won’t break the budget.

John Frieda Cushion Brush

The John Frieda Sleek Finish Cushion Brush has deep- shine silicone bristles to create shine, smooth flyaways and helps reduce frizz.  There also IONS in the brush help to flatten the hair’s cuticle layers.

The brush is safe for wet or dry hair.

Gwen Stefani: “Makeup goes on every day, even if I’m not going anywhere”

Gwen Stefani is InStyle’s November cover girl. In the magazine Gwen opens up about her daily beauty routine. Gwen reveals that she has a rather addiction to dying her hair, which she claims to dye as often as Marilyn Monroe did. She also admits that she doesn’t leave the house without makeup.

In this issue, the rock star designer opens up about doing so much in so many arenas—fashion (she launches her third line Harajuku Mini for Target mid-November), music (a new No Doubt album is slated for next year), and family (“being a mother is probably the most challenging thing I do,” she says of parenting Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 3, with husband Gavin Rossdale).

Whatever she’s doing, it works, because she looks amazing! Considering she’s 42-years-old (can you believe that!?) she’s definitely doing something right!

Gwen on finding balance: “At work I’ve learned how to delegate. You don’t have to be on a ladder in a warehouse, micromanaging. You can be at home. And teamwork is also such a big part of marriage and parenting.”

On making time for her sons: “The thing I’d like to do is enjoy these boys while they’re young – so I don’t regret I was working too much when they’re big and don’t want to cuddle with me anymore.”

Her trademark blonde: “My hair color is L’Oréal, but I won’t reveal the number. And I do my roots as often as Marilyn Monroe did hers. I’m serious. I found out.”

The one time she went red: “Right after we came home from the first No Doubt tour I felt like I might get recognized, so I colored my hair red. And I hated it.”

Her makeup: “The makeup goes on every day, even if I’m not going anywhere.”

FIRST LOOK! Check out Gwen Stefani’s NEW children’s line for Target!

Gwen Stefani’s collection Harajuku Mini for Target is practically here! The retailer just released photos of the rock star fashion designer’s first children’s line, which includes accessories and apparel for babies, toddlers, and tweens, priced from $4 to $30. “The kids clothes are a reflection of things I wear,” Stefani told InStyle (she’s our November cover girl). And references to her own wardrobe are clear—plaid pants reminiscent of her look in No Doubt’s “Spiderwebs” video, and a faux-leather jacket and dress combo that looks like a smaller version of a recent L.A.M.B. runway look. Preview the entire collection in the gallery, and shop it at Target stores and Target.com November 13th.

What do you think of the collection? Would you buy it for your child?
