Christina Aguilera opens up about her “rough year” in Marie Claire

Christina Aguilera graces the February cover of Marie Claire, and she looks absolutely amazing! Just goes to show you what the right makeup can do for you. She looks so much pretty without the ton of makeup she’s usually wearing. She looks great! In the article she opens up about her body, her rough year, and her NBC hit ‘The Voice’.

On 2011:

“That was a rough year,” Aguilera admits, shaking her head. “Between my divorce and the other things I went through, a lot happened. It’s hard for anyone to go through that in public. But when you’re a celebrity and under a microscope, it’s 58 million times harder. I grew an even thicker skin after that hard year.” The scrutiny seems to have shown no signs of abating: Lately, she’s been subjected to cruel tabloid headlines about her fluctuating weight. (“I was never that fat,” crowed Kelly Osbourne on E! Fashion Police.) Aguilera’s response, she says, is to ignore the static. “I’ve been through my highs, I’ve been through my lows; I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It’s noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me.”

On her body:

“I have certain physical features that I favor over others. We all have our areas,” she says. “When I worked on Burlesque, I lost so much weight that I was too skinny. I don’t weigh myself — it’s all about how I feel in my clothes. What looks good on one person might not look good on another body type. I happen to be very confident in my own skin. It takes time to get to that place, but it’s all about embracing yourself and your body.”

Juliette Goes RED!

I love it! Can’t wait to see Juliette in her new show.

Alizabeth Cochrane of Goodform Salon of Hollywood brought Juliette to life with the fiery transformation from brown to red. “I changed Juliette’s hair for her new role in the TV series, The Firm. We wanted to pop it as much as possible, inspired by fiery copper redheads. Almost cartoon, but leaving enough depth to be in a real life color.”

The series is a sequel to the 1991 best selling John Grisham novel, which was adapted into a cult classic film in 1993. Juliette’s new show is set 10 years after the book’s conclusion, and its reported that John Grisham oversaw the first couple episodes of filming to ensure he was content with the direction of the show’s development.

Goodform’s varied clientele includes Kim Kardashian, Kloe Kardashian, Chloe Sevigny, Christina Ricci, Shia LaBeouf, and many more. www.GoodformSalon.com

Razor free soft, smooth skin!

It has been years since I tried a hair remover cream, I’d found most irritated my skin and didn’t seem to work that well. I received the new Sally Hansen Brush-On in-Shower Hair Remover and  I am really impressed. The tube has a great brush on the end just squeeze some product and and basically paint your legs.

I left it on about 8 minutes and after rinsing my legs were soft and smooth, color me shocked! Getting out of the shower I had the dreaded shiver that usually undoes my shaving but after I dried off I realized my legs were still soft and smooth. A great product at under $8 it does what it promises with no pain or weird smells. Home run Sally!
