mark: Rashida Jones’ 2012 MET Beauty Ball Secrets

Want to know how Rashida Jones got her gorgeous look at the 2012 Met Ball in NYC last night? Find out some tips and tricks from celebrity makeup artist, Jamie Greenberg below!

Face:
”I started by applying mark Min-A-Real Cream-To-Powder Foundation to even Rashida’s skin tone. Next, I applied mark Get Bright Hook Up Highlighter in Golden under her eyes and tended to any imperfections with mark Good Riddance Hook Up Concealer in Light Medium.”

Cheeks:
“For a soft, warm glow, I buffed mark Touch and Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes all over her face. Next, I dabbed a bit of mark Cheekblossom Cheek Color Tint on the apples of her cheeks and blended outward.”

Eyes:
“For Rashida’s eyes, I started by applying mark Please Hold Eye Primer to her eyelids for a strong base. Next, I blended a variety of bronze shades from mark On the Dot Neutral Eye Color Compact to her eyelids, followed by mark I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Pink Dust and Luvstruck. Next, I lined Rashida’s upper and lower water rims with mark No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner in Foxy Brown and a bit of Solid Gold under her lash line. For a dramatic eye, I blotted mark I-Mark Metallics Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Truffle under her lash line. I finished Rashida’s eyes by applying a coat of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara in Black to her top and bottom lashes.”

Brows:
“I applied mark Brow Factor Hook up Clear Brow Gel to hold Rashida’s brows in place.”

Get The Look: Lea Michele 2012 MET Ball

All eyes were on Lea Michele when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2012 MET Ball yesterday evening. Celebrity Makeup Artist Melanie Inglessis was the visionary behind the starlet’s glamorous beauty look. Melanie put the focus on Lea’s eyes by lining them with a deep plum liner and then layered copper toned eye shadows on the actress’s lids. Using a soft crease brush, she blended the edges of the liner with the shadow to create definition and give that smokey eye effect. Melanie then upped the drama by swiping a dark eye shadow over the liner and added two coats of black mascara for a finishing touch.

To offset the intensity of the eyes, Melanie kept the rest of Lea’s face simple: she added a rosy flush of color on her cheekbones and opted for a natural lip, using a lipstick only to enhance Lea’s own lip color.

Get The Look: Abbie Cornish MET Ball Beauty

Abbie Cornish looked radiant at the MET Ball in NYC last night! The gorgeous “Sucker Punch” star was all smiles as she walked the red carpet, confidently showing off an asymmetrical finger-waved updo created by celebrity stylist and Nexxus Creative Director Kevin Mancuso.

“I wanted the look to be effortless, but constructed at the same time,” said Mancuso. “To soften Abbie’s updo, I created classic finger waves, then shook them out for an ethereal, romantic finish.”

Kevin Mancuso shares these simple steps to recreate the look at home:

PREP:

· Apply a generous amount of Nexxus ProMend Split End Binding Bodifying Mousse all over damp hair to bind damaged ends back together while creating texture and body.

STYLE:

· Blow dry hair, massaging mousse in at the roots to increase volume.

· Use a medium round brush to smooth small sections of hair into velcro rollers for more body. Let rollers cool to set the curl while you apply makeup.

· Remove rollers and apply a small amount of ProMend Split End Binding Smoothing Shine Serum throughout for healthy, luminous shine.

· Now use a small barrel curling iron to create waves in the front section of your hair.

· Back comb the rest of your hair and spray with Nexxus Comb Thru Touchable Finishing Mist for extra support and light hold.

· Pin sections of hair up, working around to the back of your head, gently twisting and pushing up for volume.

· Gently finger tease to give hair a slightly fluffy, fuzzy finish.

FINISH:

· Spray hair with Nexxus Maxxium Superior Hold Finishing Mist to ensure the style stays put all night.

Kim Kardashian tweets a new picture saying “No fake lashes today!”

But are we really buying it? I bet she has no fake lashes on the bottom, but how about the top? I don’t know if I’m believing those top lashes are 100% real.

She claims she has great lashes because she’s Armenian. “No fake lashes today! #LoveBeingArmenian”

What do you think? Is she telling the truth?
