Elizabeth Olsen stuns at the NYC Met Gala!

Dove celebrity hair stylist Mark Townsend styled the Olsen sisters (Mary-Kate, Ashley AND Elizabeth!) for Fashion’s biggest night — the 2014 Met Ball.

For Elizabeth’s first trip to the Met Gala, Mark wanted to keep her hair really fresh and sophisticated but with a bit of edge to it.

Mark’s Quick & Easy Step-by-Step Style:

1. We were working on her press junket for Godzilla during the day, so her hair already had lots of texture. To play that up, I used a double-barrel iron to create an uneven bend throughout.
2. Mark then sprayed Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray at her roots to give it that added volume and blow dry with your fingers.
3. In order to pull it up, Mark created three large sections from the top, sides and bottom. He pulled the bottom piece into a pony at the nape of the neck, then he took the two sides, pulled them straight back, and secured them with two bobby pins, letting the ends hang over the ponytail.
4. Next, Mark pulled the top section back and pinned it to the same hair from the sides at the back of the head. The result is a modern take of half-up, half-down hair!

Fun Hair Fact:
For an added touch of glamour, Mark sewed a Cartier pin into the hair using only bobby pins as a base.

Last night’s Met Gala brought out all of Hollywood’s hottest stars!

There are so many pictures from last night’s big event and I’ll post as quickly as I can! My favorite couple from the night was Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds. How gorgeous are they!? Blake wore a custom made gown by Gucci, and Ryan wore a suit by Gucci.

Too hot to handle!
