Get The Look: Reese Witherspoon at the 2012 International Women’s Day

Makeup artist Mai Quynh created Reese’s beautiful look for the International Women’s Day in Washington DC. Mai used products from both Avon and mark to create her look

Mai put the focus on Reese’s eyes, layering a shimmering gold shadow over a soft blend of neutral-colored shadows. Mai then upped the drama by using a dark eyeshadow as liner and a few swipes of black mascara on lashes. For the finishing touches, Mai applied a soft rose cream blush on Reese’s cheeks and a nude-colored lipstick to enhance Reese’s natural glow.

Lady Gaga says mint is in – do you agree?

Lady Gaga posted this message (along with the above picture) on her Facebook page: “I told you MINT would be big in fashion this spring. Naturally, I will continue to wear black. (perpetual mourner) Getting ready for Harvard. Mother is asking me for fashion advice, little does she know I stole her look. #BTWFoundation”

InStyle is also chiming in on mint.

If the idea of wearing bold color on your lids give you pause, check out Ginnifer Goodwin at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. We love the swipe of pale mint shimmer that starts heavily in her inner eye and covers her entire lid. The key ingredient is to concentrate on the lower lid, not the brow bone. Goodwin also illuminated her undereye by gliding a highlighter beneath and adding a few false lashes at the top. This made the entire eye a statement. Take your cue from Goodwin and play down the rest of your makeup when your eyes are this bright.

So what’s the verdict? Would you wear mint?

Natural Makeup Look With the Help of COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm!

I (Jocelyn) am not a huge fan of heavy makeup. Very rarely will I put a lot of eye makeup on. If I do – I’m going out with the girls, or out on the town with my husband. Other than that, I opt for a more natural look. One thing I’m NEVER a huge fan of, is lipstick. For me, I just don’t like the feel of it on my lips. I know Erin likes lipstick, but she has much better lips than I do! (Time to try lip injections? I kid, I kid.)

When we were asked to go out and purchase a COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm to review, I knew I was the one for the job. I picked two shades. First I grabbed “Grenache, Grenache”, #235. I love it! It’s a shimmery – mauve color. Slightly darker than my lips. Second, I picked “Clay Argile”, #260, which is pictured below. I am in LOVE with this color. It’s a beautiful pinkish/pearly color that looks very natural. My husband took this picture of me (above) wearing it. It’s natural and beautiful, and I love it! It completes my natural makeup look beautifully.

What I did for my makeup here, was started with a shadow primer. Then I topped it with a baby pink eyeshadow – all over my eyelid. Then, using a eyeliner brush I applied rose colored eyeshadow along my lashes – as an eyeliner. I lightly blended the two colors in, and finished it off with a coat of black mascara. I then chose COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in the shade “Clay Argile” or #260 (see below). I think it all goes together really well!  I think it’s a really beautiful way to wear your makeup this spring!

Please visit’s Amazon store and check out all the beautiful colors available (and for so cheap!).
