I’m in looooooooooooooooooooooooooooove with Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette!

urban-decay-naked3

It’s official – I’m in LOVE.

I get a LOT of eye shadow – on this site. I get a lot of people sending me a lot of beautiful shades to review. I am not complaining, it’s amazing! I haven’t had to buy eyeshadow in years and years! I’ve seen Urban Decay’s Naked palettes come and go – and I’ve never thought to buy one. I’ve been envious of them, but never actually branched out and bought one. Until now.

I was in Ulta the other day and I saw the Naked 3 palette and I knew it had to be mine. I plunked down the $54 for the pallet, and I have to say, it was probably the best $54 makeup purchase I’ve ever made. The possibilities are ENDLESS. There are so many makeup looks you can create with these gorgeous 12 colors – you will just DIE!

Experiment with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN (and insanely beautiful) rose-hued neutrals—from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with rosy red micro-glitter. It’s finally here: the long-awaited follow-up Naked and Naked2 (two of the industry’s all-time bestselling palettes)! And this time around, we’re giving you a dozen NEW ways to get Naked. (Yes, we loaded this palette with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN shades.)

Choose from every finish imaginable: ultra-smooth mattes, gorgeous pearls and glimmering metallics. From the palest, shimmery pink to deep, warm black, these neutrals will make you want to get Naked all over again. Every shade features our Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.

Naked3 includes a NEW double-ended shadow/blending brush AND an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sampler with resealable samples of all four formulas (original, Sin, Eden and Anti-Aging). Each sample holds about a week’s worth of Primer!

Our art-school-inspired tin case is a gorgeous rose-gold color (a subtle hint at the shades inside). Embossed on top with a big “Naked3″ and cool facets that beg to be touched, it’s sure to inspire lots of jealous stares.

What You See Is What You Get: Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin), Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter), Burnout (light pinky-peach satin), Limit (light dusty rose matte), Buzz (metallic rose shimmer w/silver micro-glitter), Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer w/tonal micro-sparkle), Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte), Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer), Factory (pinky-brown satin), Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer w/slight pink shift), Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin) and Blackheart (smoky black matte w/rosy red micro-sparkle).

New! Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

Smashbox-Full-Exposure-Palette

The ultimate collection of neutrals, Smashbox’s latest palette has every color you need for a light to smokey look. When I first started reading about this palette I was wondering why the reviews were so different. People either loved it or hated it and there didn’t seem to be a middle ground.

After a few uses I love it, the matte shades are vibrant and very long wearing and the shimmer colors are just that a light shimmer. Now possibly the women who didn’t like this palette like a more bold sparkle look on their eye. In my mid-30′s this was the perfect shimmer. It brightened my eye area without looking like I was over the top sparkly and heading to prom. I always use eye shadow primer and found these colors stay put really well, this is now my daily go-to palette. As you can see from the swatch below with one swipe the colors stayed true to how they looked in the palette.

Along with the beautiful collection of colors, Smashbox also included a travel size Full Exposure Mascara. And even better for boring Betty’s like me they included a bonus pamphlet with different makeup looks based on the shape of your eyes! Such a great idea I have very round eyes and love the tips to get the best look for my eye shape. Overall this is a great collection of items and will work from every day looks for work to smokey eyes for a night on the town.

What else you need to know:
The Full Exposure Palette was created because the pros at Smashbox Studios needed it. On set, they’ve seen every skin tone and eye shape imaginable, so they wanted a super universal, straightforward palette that works on anyone, anywhere—in front of the cameras or behind the scenes.

Just like you dress to flatter your body shape, eye makeup should be applied based on your eye shape. After nine years of research looking at more than 5,000 eyes, the Smashbox R&D team narrowed it down to six main shapes. Their artists then created how-to’s based on the shapes to get the most gorgeous eyes possible with this palette.

smashbox 24hr eyeshadow primer

I won’t apply eye shadow without a primer, but even with primer sometimes I have issues with shadow fading or creasing especially in the warmer months. Smashbox’s new 24hr Photo Finish Shadow Primer is here to save the day! This primer is everything I never knew I needed and wanted.

The texture is nice and light and easy to work with. The best part is my eye shadow sticks like glue! I can apply my shadow in the morning and no matter what my day entails even a long workout and my shadow looks fresh and new. This has even helped stopped the creasing my eye shadow loves to do on hot days. You just need a small dab of product so one tube should last me a very long time. If you are shopping for a primer don’t miss this one!

SMASHBOX 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer $20

What it is:
A shadow primer that locks on more vibrant color for a full 24 hours.

What it does:
This primer makes shadows last and has the added benefit of making color appear more vibrant. Sweat- and humidity-resistant, this formula doesn’t fade, crease, or smudge for 24 hours.

What else you need to know:
“A primer that makes my eye shadow last for 24 hours? Yes, please! I’ll never have to worry about my shadow looking like a hot mess after yoga or a long night out!” — Lori Taylor Davis, Smashbox Global Pro Lead Artist.

“My models kept asking for a primer that would keep their eye shadow on after a shoot, because they liked the look so much. This primer is literally like glue for your shadow.”— Davis Factor, Smashbox Founder and Celebrity Photographer

Zoya Summer 2014 Tickled & Bubbly Collections

zoya tickled

The Zoya Tickled Collection  for Summer 2014 contains one of each of the following full-sized (0.5oz) bottles:

  •  Zoya Ling - a bright blue creme. I love this color its that perfect shade of blue.
  • Zoya Tilda -  a bright green creme. I have never been huge on green but it makes perfect polka dots on Zoya Ling.
  • Zoya Rocha - is a  red-hot orange with a touch of shimmer, this has been my pedicure go-to.
  • Zoya Rooney - is a blue-toned pink creme. The perfect shade of pink for summer mani and pedi’s, I love this shade.
  • Zoya Wendy -a bright coral creme, easily my favorite shade from this collection. Just the right amount of pop.
  • Zoya Kitridge - a light and bright, pink creme. The shade looks like a pale pink in the bottle but has a great bright glow when applied.

zoya bubbly

The Zoya Bubbly Collection features six jelly-based polishes filled with golden shimmer and iridescent glitters. They go on really smoothly for a glitter and I found two coats gave perfect coverage.

  • Zoya Jesy –   an orange jelly-based polish with glitter. Orange is not my favorite shade but my daughter and her friends love it.
  • Zoya Alma –  a yellow-orange jelly-based glitter polish. A very true yellow and the sheerest color of the bunch. One coat gave my nails a bit of shine without looking over the top.
  • Zoya Harper – a girly pink jelly with glitter. A bright fun shade for summer, I liked using one coat of this over Zoya Wendy.
  • Zoya Binx -a darker pink jelly polish with glitter. Two coats gets the perfect opacity to cover my nails.
  • Zoya Stassi – a green jelly polish with glitter.  Its very sheer and takes 2-3 coats for good coverage.
  • Zoya Muse –  a blue jelly-based polish with a teal shimmer  glitter. Very pretty and difficult to capture on camera! Love this color, its even prettier on then in the bottle definitely a polish that gets noticed.

Overall I was really impressed with these two collections. The creme shades were beautiful and really long wearing. I am new to jelly based polished but found them easy to apply and much easier to remove than standard glitter polish. These collections are both great for summer and work well together to create lots of fun nail looks.

The Zoya Tickled & Bubbly Collections are available now at zoya.com for $9 each!
