Khloe Kardashian, 28, has gotten braces!
The reality star turned to Kevin B. Sands, DDS, for invisaligns on May 9.
“Thank you Dr. Sands for being the best dentist ever! If only we could all be put to sleep like [my husband Lamar Odom],” the reality star joked on Twitter. “Maybe next time!” Sands tweeted a picture with Kardashian May 10 and said it’s “always a pleasure to have her and Lamar visit!”
In addition to perfecting her smile, Kardashian is also hoping to change another aspect of her appearance: her arms. “They are the first place I’ll gain weight and the last of the weight to go,” she says in the June issue of Redbook. “I’m insecure about them, but there are ways to disguise them. I’ve learned to invest in cute cardigans. There are so many sheer and crocheted ones that are airy and you can still wear them with a little sundress.”
The former X Factor co-host recently lost more than 20 pounds after modifying her diet and fitness routine. “I decided about six months ago to eat better and try to exercise regularly,” she tells the magazine. “I love food. I’m never going to stop going out to dinner or enjoying a piece of birthday cake because I’m on a constant diet.”
I had braces at an early age, and I think most kids should go through that humbling experience.
If not, invisaligns seem like the way to go! No one even sees them!

Today is Melanoma Monday, and to help you keep your skin protected Neutrogena wants to give one lucky MakeHerUp reader a prize package containing 6 great sunscreen products!
The sun is getting brighter, there is less protective ozone and people are spending more time outdoors. And, due to global climate changes, the spring season starts earlier and fall arrives later. This means we are exposed to more dangerous UV rays now than in earlier decades.
Melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer, is the most preventable type of cancer but is still on the rise. Help raise awareness by wearing ORANGE on “Melanoma Monday,” Monday, May 6.

Sandy Hook Promise, the non-profit organization founded following the school shooting massacre in Newton, has created a limited-edition nail polish with proceeds going to the victims.
The polish has been released by OPI, and they’re calling it “Sandy Hook Green.” OPI donated 10,000 bottles to the organization.
The polish is not for sale, but will be given out this weekend to people who donate $10 to Sandy Hook Promise during a Salon-a-Thon event at Ricci’s Salon and Spa in Newtown on Sunday.
Two mothers whose children survived the attack came up with the idea after each had their nails painted green at a local salon as a way to cope with their grief.
On Dec. 14, gunman Adam Lanza, who had killed his mother at their Newtown home, went to Sandy Hook Elementary School and opened fire with an assault rifle, killing 20 children and six educators. He killed himself as police arrived at the school.
After the shootings, many wore ribbons made up of the school’s colors, green and white, to show support for the victims. Green has now also become a symbol for the gun control movement.
How great of OPI!

Angelina Jolie has undergone a preventative double mastectomy. The actress revealed the news herself in an article she wrote for The New York Times titled ‘My Medical Choice.’
Angelina explained that she underwent the breast removal procedure because he has the mutated BRCA1 gene, which is known to increase a woman’s chance of getting both breast and ovarian cancers.
Angelina, 37, explained her decision in the article (which you can read in full here):
My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman.
Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy. I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer, and the surgery is more complex.
On April 27, I finished the three months of medical procedures that the mastectomies involved. During that time I have been able to keep this private and to carry on with my work.
My own process began on Feb. 2 with a procedure known as a “nipple delay,” which rules out disease in the breast ducts behind the nipple and draws extra blood flow to the area. This causes some pain and a lot of bruising, but it increases the chance of saving the nipple. CONTINUE READING (SHE OPENS UP ABOUT BRAD PITT) AFTER THE JUMP! More »

Carrie Underwood lands the US cover of Marie Claire (earlier today we saw Miranda Kerr’s racy Australia cover). I think she looks absolutely gorgeous on the cover, and in the picture inside. It’s not a typical magazine cover, and I think I kind of like that. She looks very beautiful.
In the interview, she talks about how she’s perceived by the public, and how she can’t help her personality. It’s obviously gotten her where she is today, so who’s complaining?
Here are some highlights:
On her personality: “I’m not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ‘let’s talk it out’ family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me – I was the accident – so I have the only-child syndrome going on. I’m a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean…I’m not a sociopath.”
On anxiety: “At the beginning of my career, I used to have panic attacks. People were touching me, screaming – it made me really nervous. In public, I just get nervous. It’s a physical reaction, feeling like the walls are closing in. The fans are great. It’s not their fault. I don’t ever want to come across as ungrateful. But on my end, it is hard for me to process. Because I am still just me.”
On awkward moments: “My husband calls me the queen of awkward moments. Anything that can be made awkward, I will make it awkward.”
What she wrote in her high school yearbook: “You were supposed to say what you would be doing in 10 years, and I said, ‘I will be rich, famous, and married to a hot guy.’ I guess I should have added a few more things.”
On having kids: “I don’t feel old enough to have kids. I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?”

Zoe Saldana lands the June cover of Allure Magazine, and on the cover, the actress reveals her weight, which seems bizarre to me. The unusual cover line is: “Zoe Saldana: 115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache.”
Okay?
Anyway, she looks beautiful in these pictures. Tiny, but beautiful. In the interview, I don’t think she came off very well, if I’m being honest. She has a cockiness, or air about her. I don’t know. Read the highlights below, let me know what you think:
On possibly being a lesbian, and not knowing what androgynous means: “I might end up with a woman raising my children. That’s how androgynous I am.”
On being with a woman? “Yes, I was raised that open.”
Has she ever been with another woman? She deliberates, then says, “Promise me one thing: You’re going to ask this question [in the article]—if you choose to, just put three dots as my response. That’s it.”
Dating actors: “Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.” TWO MORE half dressed pics of Zoe after the jump! More »
