Fekkai vs. Ojon: A personal review!

I have never tried any of Ojon’s products before.  When my favorite,  Fekkai Glossing Cream ran out, I decided it’s my job – my DUTY to try something new.  For your sake, of course.  It’s such a burden to have to try all these great new products – just so ya’ll can be in “the know.”

Anyway, while I was at Sephora (again) I noticed that Ojon has a new Glossing Cream available, and decided I should give it a try!  It’s a little more than half the size of Fekkai’s Glossing cream – and slightly more expensive. I bought it anyway.

I have to admit, I really like the way my hair feels. It feels amazingly soft, very shiny (but not greasy!) and it looks great.

One HUGE downer, though – this stuff STINKS!  I can’t stand the smell of it!  I don’t know if I would ever buy it again, because I can’t stand to smell it! I’m going to give it one more try – and if I still feel the same way, I may actually try and return it.  It contains sweet almonds, wheat germ and broccoli seed oils.  (No wonder it smells off!)

Anyway – here is Sephora’s review:

This super lightweight leave-in glossing cream for all hair types provides a daily boost of nourishing moisture that leaves the hair looking and feeling glossier and more lustrous. Because this nourishing formula repairs damage and locks in moisture, it’s a great way to keep hair healthy looking between deep conditioning treatments.

It features a natural algae extract which has a similar molecular structure to silicone, and is also enhanced with sweet almond, wheat germ, and broccoli seed oils, plus vitamin E to help intensify color brilliance and maximize color retention. It protects during the day with a potent UV-inhibiting antioxidant complex that helps protect hair from sun and environmental damage, and also helps to eliminate static and frizz. Formulated with 100 percent pure Ojon oil that is supported by clinical studies to fortify, restore, and nourish damaged, color-treated, or processed hair.

To use: Emulsify a dime-sized portion in the palm of your hands until it disappears; distribute through hair before and after blow-drying to add manageability and shine.
