New Wonder Woman’s Beauty Secrets

Just last week the news was released that Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, will play the role of Wonder Woman opposite Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the upcoming movie Batman vs. Superman. While the former Miss. Israel model turned actress is clearly stunning, she let us in on a few beauty secrets to keep her skin and hair looking flawless.

Gal said, “With the type of work I do, it is extremely important to take care of, and maintain my hair and my skin. Getting my hair styled and make up done several times a week can definitely affect the health of my hair and skin! My top 5 favorite beauty products are:”

1. Vine Vera’s Resveratrol High-Potency Vitamin Cream from the Cabernet Collection: I love using this cream because it helps keep my skin looking hydrated and glowing all day long.

2. Vine Vera’s Resveratrol Phyto-Elevating Mask: This mask deep cleans my skin. My skin feels so refreshed and radiant after every use.

3. Kerastase Caviar Hair Mask: This mask helps hydrate and nourish my hair. It makes my hair soft, shiny and smelling amazing.

4. Dior Air Flash Spray Foundation: This is a spray foundation that I absolutely love. When there’s no time for make up the easiest solution is to spray and go. It also gives great coverage which is a must!

5. Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior: This is my signature smell; I won’t go a day without using it!

Kim Kardashian compares herself to Elizabeth Taylor, naturally.

Kim Kardashian sees herself as a legend. A legend like Elizabeth Taylor, no less. Makes sense…. Kanye compares himself to a soldier at war.

In Kim’s latest Instagram selfie, she copied a famous Liz photo. The reality star, 32, stands in front of a classic photo of Elizabeth, where she’s seen only from the eyes up – with a towel on her head. In both pictures, the ladies flash their giant engagement rings. Kim captioned the photo “#Myidol”

It’s not the first time Kardashian has paid homage to the beloved, Academy-award winning actress: The E! star recreated Taylor’s Cleopatra look, and conducted the final interview with the Dame in the March 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar shortly before Taylor’s death at age 79.

Kardashian also paid $64,900 for a set of Lorraine Schwartz bangles once owned by Taylor in a Christie’s auction later that year. “Elizabeth Taylor was an idol of mine and I’m honored to now own something from her collection,” Kardashian told Us Weekly at the time. See more selfies of her here.

“The Lorraine Schwartz jade bracelets are special because jade transfers energy, so I will cherish these bracelets with her energy in them for the rest of my life!”

I’m so annoyed with the two of these people. I can’t even handle ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ because I can’t handle listening to ANY of them speak. They drive me crazy. Who’s going to tune into Kim and Kanye’s engagement episode??

Gisele Bundchen shares a picture proving why it pays to have a glam squad!

Gisele Bundchen really can do it all at once! Okay, let me re-phrase that. She can sit there and breastfeed while her glam squad does everything else.

She just shared this picture on Instagram, showing herself getting ready for the day, while breastfeeding her daughter Vivian Lake.

“What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking #gettingready,” she wrote.

We all know where Gisele stands on breastfeeding. Back in 2010, she opened up on the topic, claiming that women should be ordered by law to breastfeed their children for six months. I agree that breastfeeding is best, but it’s not always possible. I breastfed my first son for a year, my second son for 3 months. It was almost impossible for me to sit down and breastfeed #2, because #1 was so busy!

She told Harper’s Bazaar UK, “Some people here think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?’ There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

It’s not surprising, though. She also has an opinion on women who gain weight during pregnancy. “I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds.”

All hail Gisele!

Ditch the Winter Itch with Soothing Skin Care

Dry, crackly, irritated skin is your body’s way of sending an SOS signal. These symptoms, most commonly known as the “Winter Itch,” are often a result of Xerotic Eczema, a condition caused by excessive water loss from the top layers of the skin.

When it comes to Xerotic Eczema an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The dermatologist developed skin care brand, Sebamed, has launched an Anti-Dry Collection with head-to-toe products formulated at pH 5.5, the exact pH of hydrated, healthy skin. Incorporating these moisturizing miracles into your daily routine can optimize skin’s protective barrier to retain moisture during dry weather and repel environmental irritants that exacerbate dry skin.

For long days out on a coldy, windy day this is a must have. This time of year I love snowshoeing and sledding with the kids but after a day out playing in the snow my face always feels a bit tender. After my first snowshoe trip this year my skin was definitely feeling the effects of the icy cold wind. I used the Sebamed Anti-Dry Night Intensive Cream after I washed my face and it felt like heaven. My skin absorbed it quickly and felt so hydrated. I woke up the next morning and my skin looked great and no wind burn! This is definitely a must have this winter.

Sebamed Anti-Dry Night Intensive Cream $23.95
Recover and restore your skin after a long day. This cream is rich in phytosterols (3%), jojoba oil and glycerin to protect, smooth, calm and regenerate the skin without clogging pores. The intensive and rich properties of this Night Cream stimulate the skin’s own renewal process overnight for fresher skin by morning. The pH value of 5.5 promotes the skin’s own acid protective barrier against dehydration and irritants. Dermatological tests have proven that Sebamed Anti-dry Day Cream used in combination with the Night Cream can restore the essential moisture balance of dry skin.

All 3 of my kids have sensitive skin and this time of year its a constant battle to keep their skin from getting dry and itchy. I started using the Sebamed Anti-Dry Wash Emulsion and after the first use noticed a huge improvement. My youngest had really itchy skin with dry patched and after the first bath with this his skin was improving. After 3 days my kids all have soft, hydrated skin without any dry, itchy patches. A great body wash for anyone who deals with dry, itchy skin in the winter months.

Sebamed Anti-Dry Wash Emulsion $22.95
Replenish and balance moisture content to relieve dry, irritated skin with its amino acid and lipid-enriched formula. This soap-free and nutrient-rich formula works to hydrate and restore the skin’s equilibrium, leaving skin smooth and supple.
