Make Her Up introduces Kings & Queens Body Milks & More!

kandqshowergel.jpg

I’ve tried a few Kings & Queens products in the past, and I was really impressed with each one! Recently I was sent 2 of their new Showergel’s – and I’m in love! They come in these big 10 oz. bottles, and each have a great design on the label.  What I love most about these showergels is the scent. It stays with you long after you get out of the shower.  I tried Chinese Princess Jasmine  – and Sultan of Granada Lemon Flower, and they are amazing! I couldn’t tell you which one I like more.  They are awesome!

Get ready like a royal, start the day like a sovereign, make like a monarch. Kings & Queens is a royal new body care range developed around the herbs and spices favored by the aristocracy of a bygone age.

Kings & Queens introduces Body Milks, Showergels, Body Butters, and Shimmering Body Milks, each with a story to tell. From Nefertiti Honey, inspired by the Egyptian Queen who used the Nectar as an indulgent beauty treatment, to Cinnamon, the spice beloved by Queen Isabella of Spain that prompted Columbus’s trip to discover the new world, the creators of Kings & Queens took inspiration from the beloved ingredients of yesteryear.

The line reflects the true decadence of royals past with an imaginative, modern twist. This fun, irreverent range of beauty products is for fashion, style and design conscious urbanites who are always on the lookout for an affordable statement choice.

All Kings & Queens products are mineral oil-and paraben-free and enriched with “The Royal Mix,” a blend of Pomegranate, Blue Egyptian Lotus and Malachite extracts containing Hazelnut, Grape, Sunflower and Avocado Oils. The purple fruit of Pomegranate, with benefits of Polyphenolic compounds and Vitamin C, has a crown-like top, which is why it is displayed on the coat of arms of many Royal Houses. The flower of the Blue Lotus was the most popular ancient Egyptian symbol of glory and eternal life for gods and mortals alike containing bioflavonoids, such as quercetin and rutin and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Malachite was used by Russian Tsars to decorate their palaces to lend extra energy and bring harmony by detoxification the body and healing skin tissue.

The Line for the throne: Debuting for Kings & Queens are eighteen royals, originating from four royal families:

Steal this look: Lauren Conrad

screenshot006.jpg

mark Spokeswoman Lauren Conrad made her mark at the launch of her new fashion line for Kohl’s this week! Celebrity Makeup Artist Amy Nadine spills all her secrets for creating Lauren’s feminine yet edgy look.

How to Get Lauren Conrad’s Dramatic look:

Face

“I started by powdering Lauren’s entire face with mark Matte-nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Natural/Buff, and then lightly dusted the apples of her cheeks with her favorite, mark Good Glowing Mosaic Blush in Hush Baby. To add more definition to her cheekbones, I added a contouring layer of mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Bronze.”

Eyes

“Lauren never strays from her signature winged-out cat eyes, so to add some instant drama, I complimented them with a black ‘smoky under-eye’. Blending is key for this look and edges should be smeared to add depth. I started by lining her eyes with mark Get in Line Waterproof Liquid Liner in Painted Black. Then I used mark Eyemarker Color On Line in Jet a few millimeters past the outside corners of her lower lash lines. I drew a thick line that became thinner as I dragged it inward, stopping 3/4 of the length of her eye. I then smudged it gently with my pinky finger to smoke it out. Next, I took my mark Eyeliner Brush and dipped it in mark I-Mark Custom Eye Shadow in Corset dusting it on top of the line a couple times to make the original line even thicker. Then I coated her lashes with mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”

Lips

“I completed her look by applying mark Dew Drenched Moisturlicious Lip Color in Skinny Dip followed by mark Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in m.powerment Gold for a glossy, shimmery finish.”

Curls are the must have hairstyle for fall and they’ve been spotted everywhere from soft cascading waves, to halos of curls, powerful amplified shapes, and even loose natural waves circa the 1940s.  Achieve these hot looks and protect your hair color with CurlWave Styling Cream from COLURE True Color Care, $25.00. All of COLURE’s products are free of parabens, sulfates, alcohol, perfumes, dyes and other chemicals that could possibly strip color.

I’ve tried this cream, and I love it. My hair bounces from straight to curly all the time, and usually falls somewhere in between, a big ol’ hot mess. This product helped define my curls, and give them bounce!

Speaking of stripping, forget those false eyelash strips! It’s all about long and natural eyelashes courtesy of Kiss Me Mascara, the original macara that creates tiny-water resistant tubes around lashes that cannot clump, flake, smear or run $24.95.

Once you’ve got your hair and lashes covered be sure and experiment with the perennially popular red lip!
