Zoe Saldana announces her weight on the new cover of Allure Magazine

Zoe Saldana lands the June cover of Allure Magazine, and on the cover, the actress reveals her weight, which seems bizarre to me. The unusual cover line is: “Zoe Saldana: 115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache.”

Okay?

Anyway, she looks beautiful in these pictures. Tiny, but beautiful. In the interview, I don’t think she came off very well, if I’m being honest. She has a cockiness, or air about her. I don’t know. Read the highlights below, let me know what you think:

On possibly being a lesbian, and not knowing what androgynous means: “I might end up with a woman raising my children. That’s how androgynous I am.”

On being with a woman? “Yes, I was raised that open.”

Has she ever been with another woman? She deliberates, then says, “Promise me one thing: You’re going to ask this question [in the article]—if you choose to, just put three dots as my response. That’s it.”

Look by Vera Steimberg for Laura Mercier

Makeup artist Vera Steimberg drew inspiration from Saldana’s “amazing, glamorous” dress to create a 1920s-inspired beauty look for the star’s “Star Trek Into Darkness” movie premiere in London.

LIPS: Bold, red lips were the look’s focal point

  • Steimberg applied Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Portofino Red ($26) to Saldana’s lips to draw all attention to her pout, giving her a “bright, yet elegant final look.”

EYES: Steimberg balanced the dramatic lips with a “softer” look on the eyes

Get The Look: Zoe Saldana’s Undone Ponytail, The Words LA Premiere.

Celebrity hairstylist artist Mara Roszak created Zoe Saldana’s look for last night’s The Words premiere in Los Angeles. Taking inspiration from Zoe’s lace Ellie Saab dress, Roszak created an “undone and sexy, yet effortless low messy ponytail” for the red carpet.

Get Zoe’s look in three simple steps:

Step 1 – Prep and Texturize
Achieving the undone quality of Zoe’s hair relies on creating texture while preventing flyaways. Start by evenly applying John Frieda Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse ($5.99 at drugstores) through towel-dried hair to tame frizz, boost shine and build texture. For added volume, spray roots with a texturizing spray and rough dry.

Step 2 – Secure the Style
To create the perfect natural wavy texture, loosely braid hair and let it dry. Once hair is completely dry, take out the braid and break up the waves by running your fingers through your hair. Gently tease the crown for a bit of height. Next, pull hair from each side of the face to the back of the head, allowing one section of hair to overlap the other and pin in place with bobby pins. Continue this all the way down the back until all the hair is wrapped into a pony tail shape. Allow the pieces around the face to naturally fall out for a soft feminine look.

Step 3 – Polish and Perfect
To finish the look, mist a thin coat of John Frieda Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hair Spray ($5.99 at drugstores) in an even, all-around motion.
