Kate Upton channels Marilyn Monroe in the latest Vanity Fair!

Earlier this week we got our first look at Vanity Fair’s 100 year anniversary cover, which shows off Kate Upton obviously emulating Marilyn Monroe. Today we’re getting a look at the pictures inside the magazine, and they ARE beautiful. No doubt about that. She really does look like Marilyn as well. But for some reason – I’m finding the pictures very…. predictable. Marilyn is just too easy – the comparisons – are too obvious. Don’t you think?

Either way she’s gorgeous… Can’t deny that. More Marilyn Monroe Kate Upton after the jump! More »

Kate Upton lands the cover of Vanity Fair, is also named ‘Model of the Year’

Kate Upton lands the October cover of Vanity Fair (their 100 year anniversary issue), and has also been named her the 2013 Model of the Year. She’ll receive her award tomorrow at the Style Awards. I think she’s a good pick – more so than the likes of Gisele Bundchen. I like that Kate is thick – and more of what a “real woman” should look like. She’s not some bony supermodel, she has beautiful curves!

Kate has had a huge year, and people took notice!

As if anyone else could win!

Kate Upton has won the coveted title of 2013 Model of the Year. The buxom blond will formally accept the award at Wednesday night’s 10th Annual Style Awards in New York City.

The event, which kicks off New York Fashion Week, will celebrate the two-time Sports Illustrated model in all her bikini glory. Nicole Richie will be on hand to host the evening’s festivities.

And there’s no doubt that she’s had one heck of a busy year.

Between joining the likes of Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen as the face of jewelry retailer David Yurman, to filming future Hollywood blockbusters with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann over the summer, 2013 has been good to Upton.

It doesn’t come easily either…the blond has been working nonstop on her career since her first big break with her debut SI Swimsuit cover in 2011.

She’s even made the difficult transition from bikini model to high fashion starlet by gracing the covers of both American and Brazilian Vogue this year. Impressive!

But given the shots we’ve seen from her one of her many upcoming projects — a role in The Other Woman where she rocks itty-bitty bikinis — we’re not so sure she’s ready to completely retire her two-piece just yet!

Congratulations, girl!

What do you think about Kate being chosen as model of the year? Do you agree?

Scarlett Johansson lands the first issue of French Vanity Fair!

Scarlett Johansson was chosen to grace the cover of the first-ever French Vanity Fair!

According to WWD, Scarlett has been named the “ideal transatlantic muse” by Michael Denisot, editorial director of the new magazine, making her the only choice for the debut cover.

Mark Seliger shot the cover, and was interviewed by Ingrid Sischy.

Speaking of Johansson at a press conference, Michel Denisot said: ‘She has every quality imaginable – the elegance, beauty, wit and impertinence that would make her a perfectly decent Parisian if she decides to move permanently into the apartment she has bought in Paris not far from here.’

Scarlett recently bought an apartment in France, to be near her boyfriend, creative agency manager Romain Dauriac. (See him here!)

The 28-year-old actress confirmed her romance with the 30-year-old Frenchman in the May issue of Marie Claire magazine, as she discussed a night out she had enjoyed at Manhattan hotspot: ‘The next day my boyfriend and I were saying, “We were the best dancers in the whole world last night!

‘[We were] completely delusional. I’m sure we were absolutely, like, ridiculous together.’

Romain is the former editor of French magazine Clark, which specialised in underground urban art and the couple both share a friendship with French tattoo artist Fuzi.

She looks beautiful on the cover!

Vanity Fair’s Most Desirable Woman: February 2013 Cover Girl Jennifer Lawrence

I love Jennifer, she looks gorgeous!

Jennifer Lawrence covers Vanity Fair’s February 2013 issue with the caption: Most Desirable Woman.

Once again Lawrence looks utterly amazing in the Vanity Fair shoot by Ellen Von Unwerth. The shoot was taken at the Standard Hotel in the Big Apple where Lawrence had worn fashionable ensembles by Guess, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. In an interview with the magazine, Lawrence shares her passion for acting and about being a nomad in real life.

“I love filmmaking. I love acting but I don’t feel married to just being in front of the camera,” explained Lawrence. “I’m a nomad. I just looked in New York and I was looking in LA and I can’t figure out where I want to live,” added the star.

Lawrence will be staying in the top for quite a while so fans of the actress better look forward to her upcoming films namely “Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, “Serena” and “X-Men the Sequel.”
