Scarlett Johansson was chosen to grace the cover of the first-ever French Vanity Fair!
According to WWD, Scarlett has been named the “ideal transatlantic muse” by Michael Denisot, editorial director of the new magazine, making her the only choice for the debut cover.
Mark Seliger shot the cover, and was interviewed by Ingrid Sischy.
Speaking of Johansson at a press conference, Michel Denisot said: ‘She has every quality imaginable – the elegance, beauty, wit and impertinence that would make her a perfectly decent Parisian if she decides to move permanently into the apartment she has bought in Paris not far from here.’
Scarlett recently bought an apartment in France, to be near her boyfriend, creative agency manager Romain Dauriac. (See him here!)
The 28-year-old actress confirmed her romance with the 30-year-old Frenchman in the May issue of Marie Claire magazine, as she discussed a night out she had enjoyed at Manhattan hotspot: ‘The next day my boyfriend and I were saying, “We were the best dancers in the whole world last night!
‘[We were] completely delusional. I’m sure we were absolutely, like, ridiculous together.’
Romain is the former editor of French magazine Clark, which specialised in underground urban art and the couple both share a friendship with French tattoo artist Fuzi.
She looks beautiful on the cover!
