Botox mom loses custody of her daughter!

I am happy to report that the mother who gives her 8-year-old daughter Botox injections AND waxes her legs and pubic area has LOST CUSTODY OF HER DAUGHTER. Amen and hallelujah!

The California mom who admitted to injecting her 8-year-old daughter with botox for a kiddie beauty pageant is now being investigated by the San Francisco Human Services Agency.

“It’s pretty unusual for a mom to be injecting an 8-year-old with botox and certainly is grounds for an investigation,” said Trent Rohrer of the San Francisco Human Services Agency.

Mom Kerry and daughter Britney, appeared on “Good Morning America” Thursday defending the 8-year-old pageant contestant’s use of botox.

“I just, like, don’t, like, think wrinkles are nice on little girls,” Britney said.

Britney admitted it hurt to get the injections on her face, but said she was used to the pain.

The admission sparked an uproar online, in the medical community and by child advocates.

Kerry told ABC News that she does not believe she’s endangering Britney’s health and that her daughter asked for the injections. Kerry, who asked that her family’s last name not be used, is a part-time aesthetician and no stranger to Botox herself, having done the treatment on her own face.

“Like I said, I do the botox myself. It’s safe,” Kerry said.

“She had watched me do it before,” said Kerry. “So when we first did it, she was fine with it.”

Kerry wouldn’t reveal who provides her with the Botox. Kerry typically administers the Botox to Britney through a total of five shots, in three different locations on her face.

And ABC news is reporting that this horrible mother has lost custody of her daughter.

ABC News has learned that a Bay Area mother, who was giving her 8-year-old daughter Botox injections, no longer has her child living in her home.

According to a source very close to the case, 8-year-old Britney Campbell is “doing well.”

Britney’s mother, Kerry Campbell, is being investigated by Child Protective Services. The Campbells were interviewed last week by ‘Good Morning America.’

Research Shows Plus-Sized Models Make Women Fat?

A new study out of the University of Bologna suggests that using plus-size models on the catwalk and in advertisements could make women fat. Say what?

PAUSE….. The university of BOLOGNA? Okay, back to the article.

From Huffington Post:

In their paper “Thinness and Obesity: A Model of Food Consumption, Health Concerns, and Social Pressure,” Dr. Davide Dragone and Dr. Luca Savorelli cite the relationships between Italy, Germany and Spain and their respective fashion communities to produce more plus-sized clothes and uphold a minimum size for models. They write:

When reading the content of the agreements, it is clear that both the government and the fashion industry agree that fashion is a powerful trend-setter. It not only influences what clothes, styles and colors are trendy, but also determines how a person should appear to be desirable.

Okay, so fashion is apparently super-influential. Dragone and Savorelli adds:

If people are underweight and stay on a diet, increasing the ideal body weight allows both aggregate welfare and health to be improved. If people are overweight and on a diet, however, increasing the ideal body weight can improve overall utility, but it worsens health because it induces people to become even more overweight.

And, “Given that in the US and in Europe people are on average overweight, we conclude that these policies, even when are welfare improving, may foster the obesity epidemic.”

The pair also said, according to the Daily Mail, in plain language, “To promote chubby fashion models when obesity is one of the major problems of industrialised countries seems to be a paradox. Everyone has to trade off in life a number of things like the pleasure of eating and going to the gym or something as a cost. So if you just fix the average healthy weight then maybe you will throw up some incentives to be thin.”

Um, so far, seeing plus-size models hasn’t made us any bigger. And watching size zero models lurch down the catwalk hasn’t made us any skinnier, either — if anything it’s made us simultaneously revolted and ravenous.

EasyTips For Younger Looking Skin

Everyone wants to look their best. A fresh, youthful look is sought after to increase the chances of getting a job, attracting a mate or just to boost self confidence.

Youth seekers often turn to extreme diets, weight loss and eventually plastic surgery as a solution.

However, the most expensive and radical procedures and products are not always the best answer. The most important lesson Dr. Gerald Imber (www.drimber.com) has learned from performing several thousand facelifts is that looking young and staying young is about more than surgery.
Following are some of the easiest steps you can take advantage of today to start to slow (and reverse) the effects of aging. They incorporate Dr. Imber’s modern take on anti-aging and unique philosophy of prevention * maintenance * correction.

Get the Look: Dakota Fanning Eclipse Premiere

Dakota Fanning’s GET THE LOOK for the ECLIPSE red carpet premiere event in Los Angeles

June 24th 2010

Dakota Fanning’s make-up artist Sammy Mourabit used the following Neutrogena products/cosmetics and he provided key tips to re-create her look:

First I moisturized Dakota’s skin using Neutrogena new Healthy Defense SPF 50 Liquid Moisturizer (great protection and it layers invisibility under make-up providing a broad spectrum sun protection and moisturization).  (Tip: I used a wet sponge to apply the Neutrogena moisturizer in order to create a dewy look).

I covered any little imperfections under Dakota’s eyes using: Neutrogena Skin Clearing Blemish Concealer mixed with the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector.  Dakota only 16 years old does have perfect skin, so I have no need to use any foundation just yet which is why I created this mix as needed for just the eye area specifically.

I controlled the T-Zone shine by using the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Mineral Powder (in Classic Ivory).

I used a little touch of Neutrogena Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush and Bronzer (Tip: I use my wet and moisturized sponge to perfectly blend the blush with her skin. It creates a natural and fresh look).

Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara in black/brown is great mascara, easy to apply and rich in pigment yet not too dark.

I used on her lips, Neutrogena MoistureShine (Glisten #20) gloss.  Glosses are much more appropriate for Dakota’s age range and leave her lip moisturized and shining.

This is how I achieved this young, fresh, edgy but yet modern look on Dakota’s face.
