The first presenter of the night put the “emphasis on the strong slash part,” according to her hairstylist Adir Abergel, combined with black cat-eye liner and shimmering nude lips.
I love Jennifer Garner and she can usually do no wrong in my eyes, I have to say though I didn’t love her hair at the Oscars. Her hair was a little too undone and in her face I think if it was pulled back a little it would have been perfect.
Drew’s Vogue cover shoot was photographed by Steven Meisel. This issue hits newsstands nationwide on Wednesday. Is it just me or does this not look like Drew at all? I also am not a fan of the styling her hair and dress look like they are a blast from the 80′s.
Did you know that Feb. 1 is National Wear Red Day? Go Red for Women supports the fight against Heart Disease, the No. 1 killer of American women. I think a lot of women like myself spend most of their energy taking care of those around us and not focusing on things like our own heart health. Now we can be a part of the Go Red For Women movement to a 25% reduction in coronary heart disease and stroke risk by the year 2010.
National Wear Red Day has its own dress code. Wear your favorite red clothes or accessory – a red blouse, a red dress pin, a fabulous red handbag – put on red lipstick, or sport a red tie and red socks. Go red in your own fashion to show your support for women and the fight against heart disease.
Wear some Red today and throughout February to support the Go Red For Women Movement and we can reduce the numbers of mothers, sisters, daughters and friends lost to a disease that is often preventable! I will be carrying my fabulous new red patent leather handbag today I hope I see a lot of red while I am out and about.

Ashlee Simpson has been working her way through the hair color rainbow starting with blonde, then black and she was just seen Wednesday walking a red carpet with red hair. Which Ashlee color do you like best? I have to say I prefer the red it compliments her skin tone and she doesn’t look as ditzy.
Thanks to Clare for the great review.
Three Holiday Cheers for Glitter!
The holidays are fantastic aren’t they? A time for cheer, good company, a valid excuse to go shopping, lots of hot chocolate with those tiny little marshmallows and more importantly, it’s the time of year a girl can wear as much glitter as she wants because the competition from holiday decorations will make her sparkle a little less. Don’t be scared of glitter, our fashionista predecessors from the 80s weren’t. Embrace it, enjoy it and always remember, the more the merrier!!!
Some of my faves this holiday season:
Make Up Forever Multi-Purpose Glitter
Comes in a dozen different shades. Great for eyes, cheeks, body or add to clear lip-glosses or nail polishes for extra sparkle.
CARGO Eye Shimmer Collection
Set of six: white, rose, tangerine, lilac, blue and green. At such a great price, divide them up and pop them into friend’s presents or stockings!
$25.00 CARGO Eye Shimmer Collection
Too Faced Sparkler Glamour Gloss
Described as fireworks for your lips. Everyone loves fireworks! Set the tone for some special moments under the mistletoe!
Hard Candy Shaker Body Shimmer
Glitter, glitter, everywhere. Shimmer here and shimmer there! The great thing about body shimmer is you can’t make a mistake!
