One thing I’ve always loved about Jessica Alba, is that she always has amazing skin. Becoming a mother has certainly helped her skin and hair shine! Here she is at Sunday’s Alma Awards held in Los Angeles.
Twilight Freshface Glow by Fresh is an illuminating makeup primer. I have always loved Fresh’s products, and I’m really curious to see if this product is as good as it sounds! Have any of you tried it? I’d love to hear your review!
Fresh Twilight Freshface Glow is a sheer cream that instantly imparts a stunning, yet natural-looking radiance to all skintones. It instantly smoothes the skin, minimizes the appearance of pores, and makes the complexion appear absolutely flawless. This lightweight formula is enriched with nourishing meadowfoam seed oil, restorative evening primrose root extract, and antioxidant-rich vitamins A, C, and E.
It’s perfect as makeup primer, and it’s silicone-free.
When it comes to pretty, neutral, eye-enhancing shadow, for fall 2008 gray is the new beige. No place was this trend more apparent than at New York Fashion Week, backstage with the Stila Pro Beauty Team, led by makeup artist Talia Shobrook. Stila’s look calls for a fresh, lightly color-kissed face. Matte, porcelain skin, lips, and cheeks, with just a hint of rosy color, set the stage for stunning eyes. Finish the effect with gray, gauzy eyeshadow and a fringe of long, wispy lashes.
“The eyes are all about looking dreamy and feminine without being overdone,” said Shobrook. Sweep light gray shadow across the entire upper lids and onto the inside corners of the eyes. Use a smudge brush to work a darker gray shade into the creases and below the lower lash lines. Highlight the brow bone with a shimmery bone shade, and finish with a coat of black mascara on upper and lower lashes.

Actress Elizabeth Banks recently opened up to InStyle magazine about what beauty products she can’t live without. You might recognize Elizabeth from Fred Claus, or most recently Definitely, Maybe. She’s way hot. These pictures are from this month’s Esquire Magazine.
Elizabeth loves Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Sapphire. “These pencils are really creamy and come in great colors.”
These richly hued pencils are formulated to mimic the ultra-soft texture of the Indian eye darkener of the same name. The luscious formula glides on perfectly, without dragging across the fragile skin of the eye area. Delivers bold, clear, true color that easily blends and beautifies.
Elizabeth also loves Du Wop Revolotion Face Tinted Moisturizer!
Revolotion Face by Du Wop! Revolotion Face uses innovative ingredients to give you a soft, satin matte finish that leaves your complexion radiant, but never shiny or greasy. With subtle light-reflecting pigment and SPF 15, Revolotion Face is all you need to look fresh and natural for that “no makeup” look.
The only products by Stila that I really like, are their eyeshadows. Their eyeshadows are the greatest! They go on perfectly, the color is amazing, and they last all day! So when I saw this NEW Summer Palette, I knew I was going to love it! How great are these shades!
Erin and I are going to LA on May 31st for the MTV Movie Awards. I might have to pick this up for our trip!
Summer Eye Shadow Palette What it is:
A compact of the season’s hottest eyeshadow shades.
What it does:
This season, Stila brings a fresh approach to traditional summer shades with the Summer Eye Shadow Palette, showcasing a lighter wash of color. The palette features Stila’s best-selling shimmery, summery golds and bronzes.
What else you need to know:
The palette includes shades Ray, a perfect shadow to accent a healthy summer glow (shimmering golden copper), Mystic, a bold shade for summer soirees (shimmering aqua blue), Kitten, a Stila top-seller that works wonders as a base tone or a fresh highlight (shimmering nude pink), Wheat, a perfect base for a bronzed eye (pearlescent beige), Prize, a shade that can be paired with any shade in the palette as it adds a golden sheen (soft gold shimmer), and Sun, a sunny sparkle for day or night (shimmering golden peach).
A natural beauty, Natalie Portman prefers products that work to subtly enhance her already pretty features. Stila’sConvertible Color in Petunia is perfect for adding just a hint of glow to lips and cheeks.
Convertible Color
Stila’s ingenious lipstick and blush-in-one proves irresistible. Non-greasy, this creamy, sheer tint adds an inherent glow to the cheeks while lips bloom with fresh, radiant color. A mini-mirrored compact makes touch ups on the go a snap.
I had the chance to attend a great concert last week and see A Fine Frenzy perform. A Fine Frenzy is the band name for the uber talented Alison Sudol a 22yd old self taught pianist and singer/songwriter. Her lyrics are reminiscent of fairy tales and if the lyrics aren’t enough to draw you in Alison’s haunting voice has you hooked.
On top of being musically gifted Alison is gorgeous, I swear some girls get it all! I love her makeup so I did a little hunting to find out her favorite products which I have listed below. Alison even does her own hair and makeup for her shows I have included some of her DIY beauty tips. Also be sure to check out her video for “Almost Lover” and grab her album One Cell in the Sea!
What it is:
A long-lasting, lifting, curling, lengthening mascara.
What it is formulated to do:
Like a push-up bra for your lashes, this jet black “wonder-lifting” mascara lifts lashes with a scientifically angled brush to make eyes look bigger, while increasing lash volume and imparting the curviest curl – ever!
What it does:
This oil-absorbing powder keeps a handle on shine. The finely milled formula provides a smooth, flawless finish. Your skin looks clean and polished, never cakey or heavy. Perfect for touchups anytime, anywhere.
Alison Sudol: I do this thing with my mascara when I’m in a hurry: when I can’t get my eyeliner done correct, I use the mascara wand and I gently rub it against the bottom of my eye and it gives me sort of a messy, smoky look. A makeup artist taught me once to get a brown or dark purple eyeliner and warm it up on your thumb. Let it warm up and use the applicator side and gently put it on your eyelid and rub it in, and you can put eyeshadow over it to get a nice smoky eye. And blush. Even if you don’t have time to put on anything else, blush perks you right up.
