Sofia Vergara opens up in the new Harper’s Bazaar: “I don’t believe in a natural look, unless you’re Gisele Bundchen”

Sofia Vergara, who celebrated 41st birthday this week, graces Harper’s BAZAAR’s August cover and kicks off season three of “The Look,” talking curves, favorite designers, and eating the world’s most expensive ice cream sundae with host and executive editor Laura Brown.

Is it ever a bit exhausting, being a bombshell 24 hours a day? She shakes her head. “No. I’m Latin; I do it no matter what. It’s automatic. I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it’s like shaving. I don’t believe in a natural look. Lipstick brightens your face! Unless you’re Gisele Bündchen or 19, you need something.”

On her Hermès Birkin bag collection: “I tell [my son] Manolo, ‘If I don’t have enough money for your college this month, you have to sell the Birkins.’” She tells her business manager, “What would you prefer? Me popping champagne bottles and doing drugs and wasting money or buying bags? These are valuable. These, Manolo can sell!’”

On her role in Modern Family: “I don’t think there’s ever going to be a better part for me,” she says. “But I do think—and my son and boyfriend agree with me—that I could play a crazy psychopath. I’m not joking.”

On her boyfriend, Nick Loeb: “He’s really handsome. He’s six foot four, and he has blue eyes and a lot of black hair.” Vergara pauses. “Or it used to be black. Now it’s got a lot of white in it. Nick says all the white hair came from me.”

While their marriage plans are under wraps for now, the pair divide their time between a Manhattan apartment and one on the Wilshire Corridor in Los Angeles, which they use when Vergara is filming. “I’m very independent, so it’s been a process for me, learning to live with somebody,” she admits.

Sofia Vergara’s Secret to Amazing Skin!

Sofia Vergara has amazing skin elasticity. Maintain healthy hydration with a serum that contains hyaluronic acid, says Somerville, who has treated Vergara. Cucumber and willow herb extracts help firm skin and soothe irritation. The facialist swears by her own Quench Hydrating mask ($45, katesomerville.com).

Is it just me, or does Sofia Vergara look very different?

Sofia Vergara (at least I think it’s her) lands the June cover of Cosmopolitan. It looks like the ‘Modern Family’ actress, and yet it doesn’t! Her hair looks odd – and so does her hairline. I dunno, something smells photoshoppy (coming from Cosmo? Shocker!).

Sofia Vergara recently spoke out about freezing her eggs to prepare for a baby with  fiancé Nick Loeb, and according to the actress, that’s more important to her right now than planning their nuptials.

“He was already married with a big wedding, and I was already married with a big wedding,” the ABC “Modern Family” star tells Cosmopolitan magazine in its June issue. “We’re going to do something, but not right now.”

The couple got engaged last summer during a trip to Mexico for the actress’s 40th birthday — and now, she says, they’ve begun to think about their next chapter: parenthood.

“I will have to use a surrogate because I had thyroid cancer and lots of radiation,” says Vergara, who also has an adult son from a previous marriage. “I don’t want to wait forever, but not yet because I’m working like an animal!”

When she’s not on the set of  ”Modern Family,” Vergara, who says, “I love making money!” is looking for movie roles and working on her Kmart fashion line. She’s also enjoying a surprisingly low-key life at home with Loeb.

“No one can be a sex kitten every day, and anyone who tells you that is lying,” says the bombshell star. “But I do wear negligees and Japanese silk robes. For a long time, I lived alone with my son and only saw my boyfriends in a hotel. So at home, I slept in old T-shirts.

“I realized when I moved in with Nick that I couldn’t do that,” she continues. “Now, I only keep nice pajamas around, because whatever is there, I’m going to wear!”
