Selena Gomez debuts a new tattoo!

Selena Gomez has a new tattoo! The Disney actress added a tattoo – the Roman numeral LXXVI (the number 76) – on the nape of her neck. Selena had the work done by Bang Bang, a tattoo artist to the stars, in his Lower East Side studio in NYC.

What’s the meaning behind the inscription?

“The tattoo was a tribute to a family member who she said means a lot to her,” the tattoo artist told The Daily Mail. “Selena was nervous it might have been painful, so she held her best friend’s hand the whole time. But she did a great job.”

After sharing a snap of Gomez admiring her new tat in a mirror on his Facebook, Bang Bang tweeted, “I hope u love it girl! @selenagomez.”

The A-list tattoo artist has inked the likes of Swizz BeatzChris BrownRihannaKaty Perry and Gomez’sSpring Breaker costar, Vanessa Hudgens. Bang Bang has even worked with Gomez’s boyfriend, having drawn the word “Believe” on Bieber’s inner elbow.

And this isn’t the first tat for Gomez, 20. The singer-actress — whose animated film, Hotel Transylvania, debuted this weekend at No. 1 with $43 million — has small musical note on her wrist, which was inked by Louie Gomez (no relation) at Hollywood’s Under the Gun tattoo parlor in February.

The upcoming integrated marketing campaign will feature a powerful roster of fashionable, celebrity trend-setters who will inspire Millennials to outfit their smartphones and tablets with cases that complement their various styles and individual personalities.

“Fashion has become a huge part of my life, and I want to share this experience with all of my fans,” said Selena Gomez. “I’m really excited about partnering with Case-Mate; they have so many stylish and beautiful cases that I can switch out and use to accessorize any outfit.”

Over the past several years, Selena has built a successful apparel line, Dream Out Loud, at Kmart and recently launched a fragrance line. The fun-loving superstar has millions of adoring fans around the world along with a massive social media following.

Celebrity makeup artist Karan Mitchell worked with young starlet Selena Gomez for last night’s Teen Choice Awards. Inspired by Selena’s hot pink D Squared dress, Karan gave Selena a fun, flirty look with lots of lashes and pink lip gloss.
Karan focused on Selena’s eyes, layering shadows, liner and applying false lashes. She kept her skin super dewy by applying foundation with a dampened sponge and adding concealer under her eyes and on the t-zone for extra brightness. To give her that sunkissed effect, Karan contoured her cheeks with bronzer under the cheek bones and applied blush to her cheekbones for a rosy glow.

On growing up poor:
“I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we’d run out of gas money.” Still her mother, “saved up to take me to concerts. She took me to museums, aquariums, to teach me about the world, about what’s real.”

“Disney is a machine, so people automatically assume that you can’t work for the channel unless you act and sing and dance and sign up for all that. That’s absolutely not true. I always did everything the way I wanted to do it.”

“I get offered the teenybopper movies, and I’ve done that. I haven’t done a mega-hundred-billion-dollar Transformers movie, but that’s not what I want to do either.”

On seeing Jennifer Lopez in Selena at age five: “I made a bustier out of a bathing suit that I dyed black. I put glue and glitter all over it and I wouldn’t take it off.”
