Rihanna rocked $5,000 nail polish at last night’s Grammy Awards!

Is nail polish the new must-have accessory? Celebs typically show up on the red carpet dripping in jewelry that costs an astronomical amount. But 24-karat nail polish???

Rihanna showed up on the Grammys red carpet last night with 24-karat gold nail polish. The Red Carpet Manicure polish, “Amor 24″ costs $5,000 PER BOTTLE. Now that’s a bit much. Seriously – she’s going to go home and take that polish off, most likely. Why not use a nail polish that looks gold – but isn’t ACTUALLY gold? See my “look for less” polish below!

Allure talked to celebrity manicurist Jin Soon Choi for her tips on keeping precious-metal nails pretty:

Stay short: File your nails to a short or medium length or it will look severe, Choi says.

Shape carefully: Soon recommends a gentle, round shape. “You don’t want it to be too extreme—too square or too pointy,” she says.”It’s already metallic.”

Make it last: Soon, who’s famous for her chip-proof manicures, uses a nail strengthener in place of a base coat. “It has better coverage,” she says. After two coats of nail color, she finishes with a glossy top coat.

PS: This OPI version only costs $5. GO HERE to buy!

Rihanna’s “Thug Life” knuckles tattoo: Hot or hot mess?

Last night Rihanna posted a serious of pictures on her Twitter account, in which she was getting various new tattoos. In one picture she shows off her “Thug Life” tattoos that were done in white on her knuckles. She wrote “All these bitches screaming that 2pac back ♫ #THUGLIFE” In another picture, which shows her getting her back (or butt?) tattoo, she wrote “Tat my f**kin name on u girl so I know its real!!! #MINE”

Next she posed with the man who gave her the tattoos, “My boo Mark Mahoney!!!! #RockstarShit #TATnight”. And finally she ran into actor Danny Trejo. “Look who’s in the #TATTOO parlor…Danny Trejo #G4L p.s. Look up his story!”

Rihanna replaces Megan Fox as Armani spokeswoman!

Back in July, Rihanna was named the replacement for Megan Fox as official spokeswoman for Armani. Apparently they weren’t happy with the way her advertisements had been going. I find her ads to be incredibly boring. Here we have Megan’s new Beauty 2011 Christmas Collection ads, which will run this Christmas. Looks like Megan stayed on as the face of Armani’s beauty line, while Rihanna will model their clothing. (Check out Rihanna’s risque ads below!)

While Rihanna’s ads are definitely more “edgy”, I’m not really a fan of them, either! Although I can appreciate Rihanna’s more curvy body – that blonde wig is a hot mess. They need to ditch that immediately. I’m not a fan of Rihanna’s ads either. Armani needs to go back to the drawing board!

Who do you think makes a better Armani model – Rihanna or Megan Fox?

Guess how much it costs to keep up Rihanna’s hair!

Call her the anti-Jennifer AnistonRihanna is the Girl Of Many Haircuts.

The pop singer has changed her hairstyle a reported 13 times since dyeing it that drastic red last year, racking up quite the stylist bill in the process, according to the Daily Mail.

The British newspaper reports that Rihanna has been shelling out nearly $23,000 a week to celebrity hair stylist Ursula Stephen.

One source close to the 23-year-old star told the Daily Mail, “Rihanna likes to pioneer new styles but it’s costing her a fortune.”

Pioneering new styles gets pricey, however, when your hair dresser charges almost $3,300 a day. Stephen gets the credit for first giving Rihanna that famous choppy ‘do, creating an edgy signature for the rising star.

Since that famous bob, Stephen has been changing up Riri’s locks at rapid speed and getting her some serious attention. She’s gone from short on the racy cover of GQ to wavy for the cover of Vogue and now to a curly mop, showcased on the cover of April’s Rolling Stone.

But keeping a fresh, original style is crucial for Rihanna, whose style is inseparable from her star appeal. Covering Glamour’s September issue, she told the magazine:

“In the beginning of my career, it was really strict for me. I couldn’t wear pink or red lipstick; it was just bizarre. We had a young fan base, and they were trying to keep me fresh. But I just really wanted to be myself. I wanted to be sassy, the attitude, all these things that I am.”

Rihanna is the new face of Armani!

Rihanna took to Twitter to announce her exciting news—the popstar is the new face of Armani.

Last Wednesday she said, “U would NEVER guess what I’m doing right now!!! Hint Hint #Armani” and this morning Armani announced she’d be the new “Global Testimonial” for both Emporio Armani Underwear and Jeans.  A person can’t really be a testimonial, so in simpler terms, she’s the new Megan Fox.   Look for her ads this fall.

Can’t wait to see the ads! They’ll be amazing!

Rihanna’s perfume ad censored in Kuwait (see the ad!)

Rihanna’s new Reb’l Fleur ad was a bit too risque for Kuwait. The singer’s new ad has been censored!

The original ad (on the left) shows the 23-year-old singer wearing a pink satin blazer – open, exposing a bit of cleavage. The same ad has been photoshopped by a Middle Eastern newspaper to cover the singer’s torso. According to Stylist:

It has been reported that the cover-up was done to attract Kuwaiti women in the predominately Muslim state.

While Rihanna and Parlux Fragrances, the company that produces Reb’l Fleur, have yet to make a statement on the ad censorship, we have a feeling this won’t deter sales of the songstress’ scent.

What do you think of Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur fragrance ad censorship in Kuwait?
