Olay is looking to attract a younger audience with a new ad campaign featuring country music star Carrie Underwood.

In photos that depict a freshly face-washed Underwood with a squeaky clean glow, it appears the brand is focusing on its line of facial cleansers — which contain foaming formulas, scrubs and cloth wipes — to target the younger demographic, instead of the anti-wrinkle and lifting moisturizers it is most well-known for today.

“I started to focus on how I took care of my skin in my 20s because I don’t want to ever do drastic things to my face. It’s just not my style, I want to keep it as natural as possible,” said Underwood.

Olay will air an ad during Wednesday’s Country Music Association Awards featuring the skin-care company’s celebrity spokesperson, Carrie Underwood, but E! Online has an early look at the spot.

Marking her first beauty contract, Carrie Underwood is announcing in New York City this morning that she’s been named Olay Skin Care’s first-ever North American celebrity ambassador. And for the five-time Grammy award winner, who has been using Olay products for “at least a decade now,” there couldn’t be a better brand to break into the beauty business with. “As a little girl I remember my mom always using the original Olay Beauty Fluid and encouraging my sisters and I to take care of our skin. I love that Olay has managed to change with the times, yet stay in touch with women of all ages who want affordable skin care products that do what they promise,” Carrie says in a statement. The country music superstar, who is about to kick-off her “Play On Tour” this fall, will appear in print and television ads for Olay’s “Challenge What’s Possible” campaign, scheduled to debut later this year. Hollwyood actress Thandie Newton has become the new face of Olay as the cosmetic brand celebrates its 10th anniversary here.

The stunning actress will front the campaign for the cosmetic giant’s Total Effects range, to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary in Britain, reports thesun.co.uk.

Here are some easy tips from dermatologists that’ll prevent your pits from becoming totally offensive when it’s a zillion degrees outside, courtesy of Andrea Lavinthal for Cosmopolitan:

1. Wash your underarm area with a benzoyl peroxide face cleaner. It’ll kill odor-causing bacteria, says Los Angeles derm Ava Shamban.

2. Wipe down the entire area with cotton pads that have been soaked in a toner like Olay Refreshing Toner. The alcohol evaporates immediately, so you feel cooler, plus it minimizes any unpleasant aroma, says Dr. Shamban.

3. Brew a superstrong batch of black tea, but instead of drinking it, pour it over a washcloth, let it cool, and then place the compress under each arm for five minutes. Do this every night for two weeks and the tannic acid in the tea will permanently reduce your sweat production, says Darrell S. Rigel, MD, clinical professor of dermatology at NYU Medical Center.
