Nicole Richie and her younger sister get their ears re-pierced in new web series, #CandidlyNicole

Fashion icon, creative director of House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate and mom, Nicole Richie, brings her unfiltered sense of humor and unique perspective to life in a new series based on Nicole’s twitter feed and will follow the outspoken host as she muses on her own daily insights and shares her uncensored perspective on style, parenting, relationships and her journey through life.  (20 episodes, 1 per week).

In this new episode of her web series, #CandidlyNicole, Nicole Richie and her younger sister, Sofia Richie, visit a piercing parlor to update their look. While getting their ears re-pierced, Nicole and Sofia talk everything piercing from tongue rings to piercings beneath the belt and more!

Nicole: Today we are getting our ears pierced. We’re actually getting re-pierced, both of us, because our holes closed up, because we’re idiots. This is not our first time we’ve gotten pierced together….
Adonica (Piercer): Who wants to go first?
Sofia: I will.
Nicole (to Adonica): …How many piercings do you have?
Adonica (Piercer): Just the ones you can see. Nothing exciting…
Nicole: How many piercings have you done?
Adonica (Piercer): Oh my gosh, thousands.
Nicole: What’s the craziest?
Adonica (Piercer): Use your imagination.
Nicole: Okay, down there, but that’s pretty common now, right?
Adonica (Piercer): I have a couple of clients that have 15-18, and you hear a little jingle in their walk.
Nicole: 15-18 down there? Like bedazzled?
Adonica (Piercer): Very bedazzled.
Nicole: Could be very nice on Christmas.
Adonica (Piercer): …How many piercings do you have?
Nicole: I just have the ones in my ears. I used to have my nose for a second. I would say I had it for a good year.
Adonica (Piercer): …What made you take it out?
Nicole: Because we’re done…I got my tongue pierced for a week, but my mom found out. But I didn’t know it was for sluts…and I had my belly button, which is so embarrassing, because now I have that stupid scar and I don’t even want it. I’d rather my kids get tattoos than piercings, except for her {Sofia}.
Adonica (Piercer): Except for this one?
{Referring to sound of laughter in the next room} …That’s the genital room.
Nicole: Stop. It is? And they’re laughing?
Sofia: You don’t pierce that?
Adonica (Piercer): I do. You got to make a living….
Nicole: {Prepping for piercing} I find if you scream it hurts less…so what should I do scream or not scream?
Sofia: You should scream.
Nicole: Ok. Are you counting? …1,2…
Nicole screams…

Nicole Richie Rocks the “Cut of the Year”!

As you know, “the Chop” has quickly become the cut of the year. The swingy, low-maintenance style is one-length, with a slight layer in the front, and has been turning lots of heads – including that of Suave Professionals® spokeswoman Nicole Richie. The ‘do was most recently spotted on Nicole, who took to the salon chair yesterday to get “chopped.”

Here are Suave Professionals® Stylist Jenny Cho’s tips for creating the unstructured look that is full of shine:

·         For hair that needs an extra boost of shine, use the NEW Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil as a shine treatment on dry hair before you shampoo. Divide hair into three sections and apply 2-3 pumps of the Styling Oil to each section. Leave in for 5-7 minutes and shampoo as usual.

·         If your hair has some natural wave and texture, blow dry hair so that it’s only halfway dry, using fingers for a more natural look.  If you need some help with the wave, blow dry hair completely and wrap 1-2 inch sections of hair around a curling iron (alternating each section away from the face and towards the face), leaving ends out for a “messier” texture.  Front sections of hair should be curled away from the face. Tousle curls after they have cooled.

·         Part hair to the side, so that it hangs just slightly in front of face, and finish by adding 1-2 pumps of the NEW Suave Professionals® Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil over the surface of dry hair for radiant shine.

Nicole Richie Unveils Final Look for Her Season of Smooth Transformations

Starting at the big show in January, designer, mom and mogul, Nicole Richie teamed up with Suave Professionals® and invited women to discover the essence of Keratin at home with the New Suave Professionals® Keratin InfusionTM system. Last night, at the music industry’s biggest night, Richie debuted another smooth transformation thanks to the New Suave Professionals® Keratin InfusionTM system.

Suave Professionals® Stylist, Jenny Cho shares her tips on how to get Nicole’s look:

1. Start by washing and conditioning hair using the new Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner to help maintain vibrant color and control frizz for up to 48 hours.
2. On wet hair, use the Suave Professionals Heat Protection Spray prior to blow drying to help defend against heat damage.
3. Apply Suave Professionals Volumizing Root Boost Spray directly at the roots to provide lift and support for lasting volume.
4. Blow dry hair using a round brush.
5. Section hair to prepare for curling, and spray with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray.
6. Start at the nape of the neck, and using a two-inch curling iron, begin to wrap one-inch sections of hair around the iron, keeping the clamp open. Leave the ends out of the curl for a more rock-and-roll look.
7. As you curl, make sure to vary the direction of the curls around your head, curling some pieces toward your face and some away from your face. Be sure to curl the hair framing your face away from your face.
8. Apply Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo all over hair to keep your style refreshed, help extend your blowout and revive volume.
9. Shake out hair and use a drop of the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smooth & Shine Serum to add lustrous shine and frizz control for up to 48 hours. Run fingers through hair for added shine.
10. Finish by misting hair with Suave Professionals Touchable Finish Lightweight Hold Hairspray.

In order to help all women discover the benefits of keratin, Richie has invited women to join the Keratin Collective on the Suave Beauty Facebook page . By sharing their transformation stories, women can enter for the chance to win a fabulous trip for two to celebrate their gorgeous new look and for every story shared Suave Professionals® will donate $1, up to $10,000, to the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation.

Get the Look: Nicole Richie’s Sleek Pony, 69th Annual Golden Globes

Nicole Richie began her season of red carpet smooth transformations this weekend at the big award show. This awards season, Richie plans to show women how she’s transformed her style starting with last night’s red carpet and ending with music’s biggest night in February.

To help transform her style from the first red carpet to the last, Richie has teamed up with Suave Professionals® and is inviting women to discover the salon inspired style of keratin at home for smooth, manageable hair every day. Nicole got her look last night thanks to the essence of keratin and Suave Professionals®.

Suave Professionals® Stylist, Jenny Cho shares her tips on how to get Nicole’s red carpet look:

Modern Take on the Sleek Pony

1. Sleek, smooth styles are all the rage. Nicole Richie worked it, thanks to the Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion System. Copycat it quickly: Spray Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo directly at the root, crown and front of hair. Use your dryer to work in excess powder, and brush through to refresh hair before styling.
2. Pull-up and section-off hair around crown, then tease to create volume; set aside.
3. Use a brush to smooth-out the hair on the sides and back. Pull the back section of hair into a ponytail, securing it with an elastic.
4. Take a side section and wrap around the ponytail, securing with a bobby pin. Take the opposite side and also wrap around the pony, securing with a bobby pin. Lastly, take the teased crown section and lightly smooth and brush back over the ponytail.
5. Work a dime-size amount of Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Smooth & Shine Serum into the palms of your hands, then delicately smooth ponytail strands and eliminate flyaways.

Nicole’s red carpet style is all about head-to-toe perfection. Some of Nicole’s personal red-carpet beauty tips include:

  • Always drink plenty of water and use a great moisturizer for glowing skin
  • Always show your personality in your style – it will pay off and it’s more fun that way
  • Classic, sophisticated dresses are chic – and you will look timeless
  • I absolutely cannot live without face moisturizer, bobby pins and Suave Professionals® Keratin InfusionTM Dry Shampoo
  • Try applying Suave Professionals® Keratin InfusionTM Smooth & Shine Serum to help fight humidity and prevent frizz
