Diane Lane Secretariat Premiere – Los Angeles

Skin Prep – Diane Lane’s skin was prepped using Neutrogena Ageless Essentials Continuous Hydration Moisture 25 SPF. The event was during the day and as it has been so hot in Los Angeles, wanted to make sure she was protected. This moisturizer delivers both protection and a great base for make-up.
In the delicate eye area, Neutrogena Ageless Essentials Continuous Hydration Eye is the perfect product to hydrate this sensitive area.

Make-up – Diane Lane’s flawless look for the Los Angeles premiere of Secretariat was created using Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup, which was matched perfectly to her skin tone and used only where needed. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector was applied as a base for eye shadow to increase staying power. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder helped to set everything in place. Makeup artist, Karan Mitchell created Vanessa Hudgens look for the kick-off of Neutrogena’s Wave for Change campaign at the Neutrogena Beach House in Malibu, California:

For the beach-side event, Vanessa wanted her makeup to be “golden and whimsical.” Since it was a sunny day I made sure to use products that were not only beautiful but were packed with SPF protection.

SKIN

Even bare, Vanessa’s skin looked soft and bright. She’s been using the new Neutrogena Wave® Sonic Power Cleanser and her skin felt incredibly smooth as I applied her makeup.

First I prepped her skin first with Neutrogena Healthy Defense Liquid Moisturizer SPF 50. It is a liquid moisturizer that sinks right into the skin so it wears beautifully under makeup. For her foundation I used Neutrogena Healthy SkinÒ Liquid Makeup SPF 20 in Tan and I perked up her eyes with the Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Brightening Eye Perfector in Medium.

On her cheeks I used the bronze shade of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Custom Glow™ Blush & Bronzer in Natural Glow which I also used under the cheekbones for contour.

EYES

I started with the peach base color from the NeutrogenaÒ Nourishing Eye Quad in Butter Crème and applied it all over her eyelid, up to the brow. It has an SPF of 15, so protect delicate eyelids from the damaging effects of the sun.

Next, I used the copper shade on her lids from the NeutrogenaÒ Nourishing Eye Quad in Copper Glow. I also applied the golden shade to the middle and the inside corners of her lids with a dampened brush.

Then, I lined only the top of her eyelid with the NeutrogenaÒ Nourishing Eyeliner in Cosmic Black and applied some individual lashes. I finished her eyes with two coats of NeutrogenaÒ Healthy Lengths Mascara in Carbon Black.

LIPS

For a peachy pout I used Neutrogena MoistureShineÒ Lipstick, with SPF 20, in Peach a Boo, and layered the Neutrogena MoistureShineÒ Gloss in Healthy Peach over top of it for a glassy finish.

Miranda Cosgrove wore a deep purple dress that had a rock and roll vibe, but with a fun flirty twist, to her Despicable Me premiere in Los Angeles yesterday.

Coleen Campbell-Olwell – make-up artist for Miranda Cosgrove (Tips below):

I wanted the makeup to be romantic with an edge, so I chose to play up her eyes using Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Duo in Sugar Plum. I swept the base shade over her lid and then applied the accent color along the entire top lash line and only to the outer part of her lower lash line which gives the eyes an instant “lift”.

I then smudged Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Cosmic Black along the top lashline, which really makes your eyes smoulder! I always reach for Neutrogena Healthy Lengths Mascara in Carbon Black because it lengthens your lashes without the clumps!

To keep her skin glowing without the shine, I blended Neutrogena Healthy Skin Oil Free foundation in Natural Ivory and then swept Neutrogena SkinClearing Oil Free pressed powder also in Natural Ivory.

For the final touch I applied Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss in Berry Fit to Miranda’s pout. It’s a perfect shade for summer!

Coleen Campbell-Olwell: I loved Miranda’s young and hip red dress for the MTV Movie Awards! To highlight her natural beauty, I kept her makeup fresh and fun – peach-shimmer lips and smoky eyes with a hint of copper.

The trick to keeping Miranda’s face luminous but shine free for the long night was Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Foundation and Skin Clearing Oil Free Pressed Powder, both in Natural Ivory. And here’s one of my secrets: for an attention-grabbing look, I pick one facial feature to focus on – in this case, Miranda’s eyes. By keeping her lips more subtle using Neutrogena MoistureShine gloss in Healthy Peach, I was really happy with the result.

Skin prep is also just as important so there is a great base to apply make-up. Recommend the Neutrogena WAVE to exfoliate the skin pre-event so the surface is smooth and ready for application. Also on a hot day, it is important to wear an SPF in your moisturizer under your make-up. I just had a chance to check out a sample of the  NEW Neutrogena Retinol Wrinkle Filler and so far so good. I have just been using it a few days and I am starting to see a little plumping of the lines.
