Anyone who lives in Oregon knows we survive the rain for late summer and early Fall. It doesn’t get more beautiful than Oregon in the fall, with our warm days, cool crisp evenings and the most gorgeous colors of the year.  I just want to be out everyday this time of year soaking it all in while I can. On top of loving the weather I love all the new fashion and beauty products that launch in September. I love to choose  a few new colors to my spruce up makeup palette.

I recently showed you all how to create a smoky eye using Mary Kay products. The smoky eye is one of the biggest trends is Hollywood Mystique, old school Hollywood glamour with a modern twist.

Jocelyn and I had the chance to check out Florence and the Machine at an outdoor concert (She is AMAZING). For my girls night out I was excited to try a fun smoky eye, and a soft lip color. The 2012 CMT Awards always brings the glitz, glam and fun to the city of Nashville. Mary Kay was kind enough to send me a set to review and let me tell you it is amazing. I love the foundation and primer both provide amazing coverage but are still light on my skin. I was new to using a foundation brush but really loved it, I found it helped me build a little extra coverage where needed much easier.

I love the new Mineral colors from Mary Kay Strawberry Cream adds the perfect pink flush. The beautiful Copper Glow adds the perfect sparkle to a smoky eye and really compliments the Coal shade. Make sure you start off with the Mary Kay Eye Primer and your shadow will look great all day. Finally what is better than waterproof mascara in summer, well besides sun? Mary Kay Lash Love Waterproof Mascara is amazing, long full lashes that last and last. I road tested the mascara at a local waterpark and even after a day of water slides and swimming my lashes looked great.
