REVIEW: Total Domination Mascara by bareMinerals!

I’m loving bareMineral’s NEW Total Domination Volumizing Mascara! This is a do-it-all mascara for larger-than-life lashes.

This volumizing, lengthening, thickening, separating, long-wearing mascara does it all. The exclusive ProTwist180™ Wand is spiraled 180 degrees to curve around each lash and coat at every angle with intense black color.

I love the want. It’s thick – and is twisted – so you’re sure to cover each lash perfectly! I just love how this goes on – and how it doesn’t flake – or get “soft” on me. You know I hate my mascara to go soft on me. My eyelashes look fantastic all day – and can even survive the heat and humidity!

Clinically proven to lengthen, thicken, separate, lift, curl and volumize up to 345%*

Lash Domination™ Volumizing Mascara is powered by nourishing minerals & quinoa protein complex for larger-than-life lashes

Combine this amazing mascara with the Locked & Coated Waterproof Lash Topcoat – and you’re SET for your water days! This invisible topcoat instantly makes mascara waterproof for lasting, locked-on wear. Made with black diamond, amethyst, sapphire, and ruby, this mineral-rich formula locks in your perfect lash look while the ultra fine bristles of the molded brush evenly coat each lash without altering your mascara application.

I LOVE the option of going waterproof! I typically don’t like waterproof mascara, but having the option to make this fabulous mascara waterproof – really entices me! Perfect for those trips to the lake! Love it!

GOOD CAUSE MAKEUP: Introducing NEW Concept Collection from MAKE‏!

London-based interior and furniture designer Faye Toogood and make-up artist Ayami Nishimura have collaborated to create Aether, the newest concept collection for MAKE. Designed to reflect absolute and eternal beauty, Toogood and Nishimura worked together to ensure the overall mood of the collection was ethereal and reflected Toogood’s inspiration: spirituality, rebalance and ceremony. Toogood also found inspiration in a range of basic materials including plastics, foam, medicine, ice, natural cotton and chalk. Aether embodies these elements, with yellow and light grey hues highlighted against the predominantly tonal, white colour palette.

“The incorporation of minerals and creams within the Aether Collection add new age luster to the face,” says Toogood. “There is a strong reflective quality to the products that offers a feeling of rebalance, retreat and calm. The collection features a range of textures and tones from creamy warms to cold whites, cold silvers to warm pearlescent glitters.”

This is such a great collection. I’ve tried a couple of the pieces, and I absolutely love them! I think my favorite must be the Skin Illuminator. It it WONDERFUL! I keep it in my purse – and when I need a little pick-me-up, I grab that! I love the colors, I love the cause part of the proceeds go to… I love it all!

The Aether Collection includes:

Aether Palette ($25): Velvety Matte and Glitter Eyeshadows are housed in a sleek palette designed by Toogood alongside a Silk Cream Lipstick. The Aether Palette includes five Matte Eyeshadows (Salt Flat, Cool White, Cement, Sulfur and Warm White), two Glitter Eyeshadows (Quartz and Alabaster) and Silk Cream Lipstick (Deep Flesh).

REVIEW: CoverGirl Clump Crusher by LashBlast!

So here I am, out of my favorite go-to mascara LashBlast by CoverGirl, and so I headed to Safeway to pick up some more (NO, I do NOT get all my makeup products at Safeway, but if you’re in a pinch – you do what you gotta do – okay!?). I noticed this green tube next to my orange tube – and realized I’d never tried this one before! So I grabbed it up!

Here’s what Cover Girl has to say:

Clump Crusher by LashBlast mascara delivers more volume with zero clumps for beautifully separated lashes. Clump crusher’s innovative curved brush features a lash loading section to saturate lashes with loads of product and fine-tooth comb bristles to evenly distribute mascara.

My feelings on the matter. It’s not a terrible mascara, but I wouldn’t buy it again. The brush is so small, IMO, I have to apply 3-4 coats to get it to look the way I want it to. I feel like the “Clump Crusher” aspect of the mascara is probably what I don’t like. It hardly gives you any mascara at all to work with! I want it to actually LOOK like I’m wearing mascara! There are probably PLENTY of women who only want to look like they’re wearing a thin coat of mascara – and if so … this one’s for you. But if you’re like me, and you like a thicker, more visible coating of mascara, pass on this one.

Bottom Line: I’m stickin with LashBlast – the original!
