Fergie is the new face of Wet n Wild!

It was just announced that Fergie will be the new face of Wet N Wild! The ‘Black Eyed Peas’ singer will debut in new ads for the brand beginning this spring!

The beauty brand, a staple in the train cases of many budget-conscious YouTube gurus, has tapped the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman as its first celebrity spokesmodel.

“For me, this is really no risk whatsoever; it has always been a part of my life, so it is natural to me. I like to dive into things that haven’t been done before. That keeps me stimulated. Otherwise, life is boring,” the “Big Girls Don’t Cry” singer said of linking up with Markwins International, which owns Wet n Wild and its urban-targeted equivalent, Black Radiance.

Fergie will appear in new print advertisements for the collection’s assortment of lip colors, eyeshadows and nail polish. The campaign will debut this spring.

“I’m truly excited to be the global beauty ambassador for Wet n Wild. The brand delivers amazing palettes, unquestionable quality and is incredibly affordable. It’s a beauty trifecta that I’m proud to be involved with,” the one-time Kids Incorporated star added.

“In Hacienda Heights, there were a lot of beautiful chola girls. They wore Wet n Wild. I would watch them put on their eyeliners and lip liners at school. The big thing for the eyeliners was to heat them up and put on the black eyeliners smooth,” Ferg cracked in a chat with Woman’s Wear Daily this week.

Beth Ditto MAC Collaboration Set For June

Beth Ditto is ready to make her mark.

The Gossip singer, who has been happily embraced by the fashion industry despite her decidedly non-fashion size, is signing on with MAC Cosmetics for a limited edition collaboration. Women’s Wear Daily reports that Ditto, who often boasts her own bold eye makeup, will create signature products to hit MAC stores and counters in June.

Ditto has also formed a positive connection with MAC, even performing at the brand’s New York store on Fashion’s Night Out in 2011. Now, like Daphne Guinness and Iris Apfel before her, Ditto will lend her name and distinctive style to MAC.

No word yet on specific products, but we’re guessing there will be some dark eyeliner and awesome colored eyeshadow involved.

Jennifer Connelly named the face of Shiseido (AGAIN) after first appearing in their ads 25 years ago!

Jennifer Connelly has been signed as the first global spokesperson for Shiseido – but this isn’t her first time representing the brand.

“I’ve had a long relationship with Shiseido – I worked with them in the Eighties on an ad campaign, and have been using their products ever since,” the Academy Award-winning actress told WWD. “It’s nice to reconnect with them after so many years.”

Here’s more from the press release!

As Shiseido Co., Ltd. celebrates its 140th anniversary, the company announced that it has signed Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Connelly, who previously represented the company in Asia. Connelly will be the namesake brand’s global spokesperson and face of its highly acclaimed premium skincare line Future Solution LX. Connelly’s first advertising campaign as global spokesperson will debut this fall.

“I am honored to be working with Shiseido again and to be representing the Future Solution LX line globally,” said Jennifer Connelly. “Like Shiseido, I believe it is important to prepare now for our future well being. I look forward to sharing my journey with Future Solution LX with women worldwide.”

While this marks the first time the brand will be working with a global spokesperson, this will not be the first time Shiseido has worked with the classic beauty; more than two decades ago, Connelly appeared in an advertising campaign for a Shiseido makeup brand that was distributed in Japan.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer back to our family as we celebrate our 140th anniversary,” stated Hiroshi Maruyama, General Manager of the International Marketing Department at Shiseido Co., Ltd. “Jennifer’s genuine personality, commitment to her family and approach to living a beautiful life embodies the core values of our company, and match those of the Shiseido customer. We believe that she portrays the essence of the Future Solution LX line perfectly and that her inner and outer beauty will inspire our customers.”

This spring, Connelly is appearing in her latest feature film “Virginia.” She has also starred in acclaimed movies including, “A Beautiful Mind,” for which she won an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, “Reservation Road”, “Blood Diamond”, “Requiem for a Dream” and “The House of Sand and Fog.”

Love her, she’s so beautiful! Perfect for this line!

Mascara Review: 2 to SKIP – 1 to KEEP!

I was at the store last weekend, where I saw there was a sale on Rimmel London mascaras. Buy one get one free! Who could pass that up? Not me! So I grabbed two mascaras that I thought I’d like to try.

So I sit down, put all my other makeup on (foundation, eyeshadow, etc.) and I pull out Max Volume Flash, my new mascara. I pull the wand out of the tube – and immediately I HATE IT. It pulled out a TON of mascara, and the brush was all gooped up with black mascara. I scraped it off, and tried to put it on, and I swear I hated it in two strokes. It’s awful. It doesn’t do a darn thing that it says it will. I’ve tried a lot of mascaras, and this one might be one of the worst. Look at that packaging! 14X volume! Fast – no mess lashes! Collagen and Keratin enriched! Their biggest brush ever! Psht. No good. I put the lid back on – and tossed it in the trash.

Then I decide to open the next mascara I bought, Glam’Eyes. I should have known I wouldn’t like it just by looking at the wand. I hate small brushes. I like a nice – thick brush. But I decided to try it anyway, and I didn’t like it at all. Again, everything it promises on the packaging is complete BS. Talk about false advertising! It’s practically the same exact mascara as Max Volume Flash – just in a different tube. Definitely NOT worth my money, and I won’t be trying any more Rimmel mascaras any time soon. I know Erin has tried one that she likes – but I’d definitely tell you guys to skip these two. They’re no good.

So I can’t leave you with all bad news, can I? How about 1 mascara I think you SHOULD try?

I’m absolutely in love with L’Oreal’s Millions of Lashes! I have looooong struggled with drugstore mascaras, because in my opinion, they can’t stand up to some of the more expensive versions like Diorshow. Aaaand then I tried L’Oreal’s Voluminous Million Lashes. It was love at first stroke.

I adore this mascara. For only $8, you’re getting what you could get for $30+ on a more expensive brand. It goes on smoothly, it isn’t clumpy, the brush is fantastic, it doesn’t flake, it actually DOES make your lashes look longer and fuller. In my opinion, it’s one of the few drugstore mascaras that actually live up to the hype. If you’re looking for a new mascara to try – try this guy. You won’t be sorry!
