Baby Fever Hits Hollywood

There seems to be baby fever in Tinseltown these days with celebrities like Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, and Natalie Portman expecting special deliveries later this year. Well, before these mommies-to-be (and all other pregnant women out there) hear the pitter-patter of little feet, they should make sure to take the time to indulge themselves. Helen Ambrosen, LUSH product creator and mother of two, recommends these pre-natal products to do just that:

Therapy Massage Bar ($9.95) – ladies, take advantage of your significant other’s  hands while you have the chance and make them rub you from head to toe with this certified organic moisturizing bar. And don’t forget to massage Therapy on your bump to help prevent stretch marks. The cocoa and shea butter mix with neroli oil to moisturize dry skin and improve its flexibility and elasticity.

Butterball Bath Bomb ($4.95) – a celeb favorite (knocked up or not), this bath bomb is loaded with creamy cocoa butter to moisturize and calming ylang ylang. So, turn out the lights, put on some soothing tunes, fill the tub with warm water and toss in Butterball for a relaxing bath after a long day.

Herbalism Facial Cleanser ($13 for ¼ lb) – with pregnancy comes hormones…and lots of them. Attack acne (one side effect) by using this cleanser made with kaolin clay, ground almonds, stimulating rosemary, dirty defying nettle powder, and soothing chamomile.

Henna ($22.95) – since hair cannot be chemically colored during the first trimester, grab one of LUSH’s hair hennas. With four colors to choose from, our henna (sourced from Iran) is mixed with other natural ingredients like coffee and fresh lemon juice to naturally add color to hair.

New! Lush Hottie Massage Bar
Hottie Massage Bar is molded with tons of bumps to help relieve you from the daily grind. Specially made for extra sore muscles, the bumps on this bar enhance any massage with extra circulation to get the circulation going. Black Pepper and Ginger Oil is also added to add extra stimulation and warmth to relieve muscle tension and aches. The Jojoba and butter base melts onto the skin quickly to allow a smooth and sensual experience, while the cozy Vanilla aroma is relaxing and comforting.

True to eco-friendly LUSH fashion, the massage bar is sold naked and can be stored in our reusable massage bar tins. Hottie Massage Bar will be available in all LUSH stores and in January 2011.

New from Lush Emotibombs

For those who like to do it standing up, Emotibombs give you the power of mood altering essential oils in fizzy Bath Bomb form for the shower. Perfect for all states of consciousness and especially nice for sharing, these unassuming little fizzers steam up in the shower to wake you up, put you in the mood and help relieve your hangover. Best pick up all three.

Come on: up you gets.
If you need to wake up in the morning, Up You Gets with this reviving Emotibomb. Its lime, lemon and grapefruit oils jolt life back into you on the days when you can’t get moving. There isn’t anything that works better than this. Nothing legal anyway.

Restarts the brain.
The essential oil blend was created specifically to recharge the batteries and send you off into the day with a new focus and purpose.

Lime’s beautiful, uplifting fragrance is valuable to perfumers as the whole oil, but the isolate citral, which is obtained from the oil, is sometimes used on its own or to enhance a citrus scent.

Sex in the Shower: Jasmine scented love bomb.
Sex in the Shower Emotibomb encourages people to share a shower to conserve water. As the warm water touches its surface, wafts of sensual scents entwine themselves around you.
The joy of sharing.
Sex in the Shower was blended to stir the passions and get people in the shower together. With great showers comes great responsibility. While you inhale the aphrodisiac scents, lather up with The Joy of Jelly to kick things into fever pitch.
Jasmine / rose
Both men and women have long used jasmine oil in India as an aphrodisiac, hair and beauty tonic and as a sensual perfume. Rose absolute and the rose itself are a symbol of love and romance.

Too Drunk Emotibomb
For when you partied too hard.
This is for the day after you got too drunk. It has essential oils of peppermint, tagetes, fennel and reviving sweet wild orange to refresh you, soothe a sore head and bring you back to life.
Blended to ease the pangs of a hangover.
Just stick one in the shower, turn on the water and stand there – or sit if you can’t manage being vertical – getting drenched, until it all feels a bit better. Of course, you don’t have to have a hangover to use one.

The best way to describe the Cinders bath bomb is other worldly, its the most amazing warm bath bomb ever! I had and epic day of shopping last weekend and when I got home was more Grinch than Santa. After a warm bath with the Cinders Bath Bomb I was back in the holiday spirit. The warm Cinnamon scent is just so relaxing, I will be heading to Lush for more.
