Lea Michele comments on her boobs in Marie Claire: “They’re my prizewinners”

Lea Michele really loves her bust, so much so that she says the plans on showing them off more often. “These babies are great. They are my prizewinners,” she said.

The ‘Glee’ actress lands the cover of January’s Marie Claire. The 26-year-old admits that she used to be nervous about wearing low cut tops, but now she claims she can’t wait to show them off more. They were nervous to make their appearance but feel they have earned their place. So they asked if they could come out, and I was like, “All right, you guys”. They definitely rose to the occasion, so I am going to give them more opportunities.”

Um, okay.

Michele, the breakout star of the hit musical TV show based around a school Glee club, has become a regular on the Hollywood red carpet.

Showing off her body has previously angered parents who thought as she was playing a High School student she had a responsibility to keep covered up.

‘I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a “good girl” on Glee and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,’ New York based mum Kim Trefcer told FOX411.

‘I find it frustrating as a parent who is trying to teach right from wrong to their kids and then you have things like this happen which is showing middle schoolers things like sex sells and all that goes along with that.’

The Parents Television Council also criticised a photo spread in GQ magazine of Michele and her co-stars Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith, in which Michele and Agron appeared in skimpy underwear, that was described as ‘near pornographic pedophilia.’

I have to say, I kind of agree. I remember the GQ pictures, and they were borderline inappropriate. Not because they were minors (they’re not) but because they play minors on TV. Remember the pics? See them here.

Ass for the boob comments, I just think that whole thing was really, really weird. Who talks about their boobs like that, anyway?

Lea Michele looks retro-glam on the January 2013 issue of FLARE in an Alberta Ferretti dress and Stephen Webster ring. In the interview, the ‘Glee’ actress opens up about career perseverance and Canadian men:

On her fashion ethics: “Food is for nutrition, so if that’s your preference, okay, but I don’t think there’s really a need to be wearing fur.”

On her Canadian boyfriend, Cory Monteith: “Canada makes some great dudes, and he’s definitely one of them—just the nicest, sweetest guy in the world. And it’s really great that I’ve gotten to go to Victoria and Vancouver a lot—it’s so beautiful.”

On her her “perfect companion:” “I found [my cat Sheila] on the Paramount lot with some other kittens, and I took her home and found the other cats homes as well. She’s the greatest cat in the whole world, so spunky and fun. It wouldn’t be fair to have a dog, but she’s the perfect companion for me.”

On recording her upcoming album: “It’s a long process. I’m really going to take my time with it and make sure that it gets lots of attention.”

Lea Michele bargain hunts, and “always looks for half-price sales”

Lea Michele may be a huge star making big bucks, but the actress admits she still hunts for good deals! So what influences Lea’s personal style?

“New York City really does,” Michelle tells PEOPLE. “I think growing up in New York, and seeing the effortless style and the street style [that it's known for] has modeled my style.”

Since Glee primarily shoots on the West Coast, the star brings a piece of home with her when she returns to set. “I wear lots of black in L.A.,” she jokes.

Recently, Michele has upped her fashion game, stepping out on the red carpet in Pucci, Versace and Zac Posen, but her personal shopping habits aren’t as glamorous. “I’m not a big spender,” she admits.”I still always look for the half-price sales.”

But like most women, she does splurge every so often. “Every six months or so, I will do the one nice bag, or the one nice pair of shoes, or the one nice piece of jewelry,” Michele says.

The actress’s latest big purchase? Bling. “I decided to buy a nice necklace, ring and earrings so that I have a set to wear every single day.”

Get The Look: Lea Michele 2012 MET Ball

All eyes were on Lea Michele when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2012 MET Ball yesterday evening. Celebrity Makeup Artist Melanie Inglessis was the visionary behind the starlet’s glamorous beauty look. Melanie put the focus on Lea’s eyes by lining them with a deep plum liner and then layered copper toned eye shadows on the actress’s lids. Using a soft crease brush, she blended the edges of the liner with the shadow to create definition and give that smokey eye effect. Melanie then upped the drama by swiping a dark eye shadow over the liner and added two coats of black mascara for a finishing touch.

To offset the intensity of the eyes, Melanie kept the rest of Lea’s face simple: she added a rosy flush of color on her cheekbones and opted for a natural lip, using a lipstick only to enhance Lea’s own lip color.
