Lana Del Rey strips down for British GQ!

Lana Del Rey leaves little to the imagination in her raciest photoshoot yet – for British GQ.

The singer, formerly known as Lizzy Grant, stripped down to her birthday suit for the October cover of the men’s magaznie.

The 26-year-old’s eyes hang on the camera, her trademark pout swathed in red lipstick and auburn curls tumbling down her shoulders in the shot, taken by photographer Mariano Vivanco.

Del Rey, accepting the GQ Woman of the Year Award in London last night, told the audience of her experience shooting with Vivanco in Monaco.

Introduced by Boy George, who kindly compared her sultry persona to that of Marilyn Monroe, she took the stage and thanked editors for bestowing her with the title.

Shifting on stage, she hummed, her words hanging with monotone expression: ‘We had a beautiful shoot in Monaco and I had a really interesting interview – for a change – and I was reminded of why I love to sing and why I wanted to become a writer.

‘And also,’ she continued, ‘Paul, the creative director, was very hands on with the shoot.’

As laughter rumbled through the audience, Del Rey made reference presumably to the British magazine’s creative director, Paul Solomons.

‘In fact, if you see in the magazine – in the middle of the spread – you’ll see a hand hoisting up one of my boobs,’ she added.

‘That’s Paul’s hand. Couldn’t have done it without him.’

The Men Of The Year issue of British GQ is out on September 6.

I’m ready for Lana to come out with a new album. I loved her last album, and I can’t wait to see what she does next!

Here it is! Lana Del Rey for H&M Fall 2012!

One of music’s biggest stars of 2012 was recently named the face of H&M for Fall 2012!

Lana Del Ray’s full campaign was released yesterday, with another Winter 2012-2013 set coming soon!

In the print advertisements shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the singer wears some of the retailer’s coziest clothes for the season, including a plush pink angora sweater, tough tweed biker jacket, and a snug tweed dress with faux leather trimming. Be on the lookout as Del Rey will also be featured in a music video for the Bobby Vinton classic, “Blue Velvet” that will debut in mid-September with edited versions used as the store’s TV commercials.

The music video will premiere September 19th on with the print ads appearing in October issues of our favorite fashion magazines nationwide.

PICS: Lana del Rey poses for H&M!

26-year-old Lana del Rey has had quite a year! Since dropping her debut album in January, the singer has shot into stardom.

The singer was picked by H&M to appear in their fall ads. The campaign, which launches in September, shows their new collection – which they hope will “inspire” their customers.

Chloe Bowers, H&M PR Manager, said: ‘We were looking for a style icon and singer to model our fall collection and Lana Del Rey was the perfect choice.

‘We think she shows our fall fashion in a very inspiring way.’

Lana will star in Press ads and a commercial for the brand, which reported a 20 per cent rise in quarterly profits following ‘very strong sales’ of its spring collection.

Director Johan Renck came up with the idea that Lana should record the song ‘Blue Velvet’ for the commercial.

The theme of the campaign is a modern and feminine woman with a soft attitude.

Curves and waist are important in autumn’s silhouette, with a focus on knitwear and tweed, the store says.

Colours include powder tones and accessories in wine red.

‘The mood is very LA noir,’ Donald Schneider, H&M’s creative director, told WWD.

I’m torn on these ads. I love the clothes, and even the pictures, but I’m not sure how I feel about Lana as the model. Ok, maybe it’s just her hair I’m not so sure about.

What do you guys think?

Lana Del Rey: “My lips are real”

Controversial singer Lana Del Rey is all anyone can talk about these days. Whether it’s her SNL performance, her hair, her lips, her nails, her voice – people have a very strong opinion about her. According to HuffPo, the singer has already landed a modeling contract and scored a huge sartorial score in posing for the cover ofVogue UK.

Despite the attention, Del Rey is getting a lot of criticism in the lips department.

In a new interview in the New York Times’ Tmagazine, Del Rey opens up to writer Jacob Brown about that facial feature everyone (well, everyone on the Internet) has been buzzing about.

Her lips. Del Rey insists they’re real:

“It’s fine,” she assures me. “They’re real lips, I mean. In real life my lips don’t look that big. I think because I cartoonized the footage of myself in the video for ‘Video Games’ things look exaggerated.”
