Kiehl’s + Koons: A Wonderland of Merry

Maintaining its long-standing tradition of supporting children’s causes, Kiehl’s, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care, is pleased to announce a collaboration with one of the foremost internationally recognized contemporary artists, Jeff Koons who is using his creative genius to help children in need around the world. With the shared vision of creating safer, more sustainable environments for children, the Kiehl’s and KOONS partnership will raise awareness and funds though the sale of the Limited Edition Creme de Corps Holiday Collection, a four-product collection featuring the newest formulation, Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter.

100% of Kiehl’s Worldwide Net Profits up to $200,000 will benefit The Koons Family Institute, an initiative of the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC). Each product in the collection – available in Kiehl’s stores around the world this holiday season only – features the artwork of TULIPS (1995-98 Oil on Canvas) from the iconic Celebration Series on its label.

KOONS & ICMEC
Most people know Jeff for his art, but less known is that he is also the father of an abducted child, Ludwig. He has battled on two continents to get his son back. Yet despite his fame and influence, his son was not able to be returned to his custody. Jeff is a fervent advocate for protecting children and continues his work for ICMEC through this partnership and the foundation of The Koons Family Institute on International Law & Policy.

About The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children
The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), founded in 1998 and launched by the U.S.-based National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, works to identify and coordinate a global network of organizations fighting child-sexual exploitation and abduction. The Koons Family Institute, a resource of ICMEC combats child exploitation in all its forms, including child trafficking, child pornography, and child abduction.

Through this partnership with ICMEC and Jeff Koons, the Kiehl’s donation will:

• Convince countries to join and adhere to international conventions protecting children

• Help meet ICMEC’s goal of putting in place national-level programs and operational centers for missing and exploited children, in every region of the globe

• Expand ICMEC’s work into additional countries, helping to enact powerful laws against child pornography and legislation on child pornography in dozens of countries.

NEW from Kiehls! Photo-Age High-Potency Spot Treatment

I have very sensitive skin, and as I get older, the sun is taking its toll. By the end of the summer, I will have a patch of sun spots that are less than cute. I hate it! I looked into finding sun-spot removers, but there weren’t a lot to pick from. I was happy to get a sample of this product, see if it really works!

I use it twice a day, in the morning and before bed. I’ve noticed the sun spots are slowly going away. I’ve been using it for two weeks, and I’m confident that in a month or so these spots of mine shall be gone like the summer sun! I highly reccommend it!

High-Potency Spot Treatment powerfully reverses UV damage three ways: provides instant luminosity and radiance, reverses visible damage on skin surface and inhibits invisible damage from rising to the surface.

How to use: Apply on areas of concern for targeted action (such as on intense, stubborn spots) or apply over the entire face and décolleté for preventative action (such as blotchiness and hyperpigmentation).

Kiehl’s introduces Celeb-Designed Labels to benefit Rainforest Alliance

It’s that time of year again—Earth Day, that is—and we’re proud to share Kiehl’s latest environmental initiative, a Limited Edition Label Art Series to honor Earth Day and raise funds for environmental causes.

As you know, Kiehl’s has long had a strong commitment to the environment—not only do we have an ongoing “Recycle and Be Rewarded” program in our free-standing stores, but you might remember that last year, we raised $100,000 for Waterkeeper Alliance in a charitable partnership with Adrian Grenier, Kelly Slater, Erykah Badu and Parsons The New School for Design.

This year, in a new partnership, Kiehl’s collaborates with actress Julianne Moore, musician Pharrell Williams, artist Jeff Koons and pro-surfer Malia Jones to raise funds and awareness for the Rainforest Alliance, which is dedicated to sustaining biodiversity and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.

For this initiative, each partner created a Limited Edition label for Kiehl’s Açaí Damage-Protecting Toning Mist – itself part of a skincare collection that is not only Eco Cert certified organic, but is also the FIRST SKINCARE RANGE to ever receive gold standard Cradle to Cradle certification – meaning that it is made with the least amount of waste from start to finish.

100% of net proceeds (amounting to $200,000) will be raised worldwide to benefit Rainforest Alliance with this collection. (Please note: there is a slight variation to the bottle assortment available internationally—the bottles available in the US will feature labels designed by Jeff Koons, Pharrell Williams, Malia Jones and Julianne Moore as shown above.) To support the project, celebrity photographer David LaChapelle will capture each personality in his unique style.

Each mist is $26. The collection will be available on Kiehls.com and in all Kiehl’s Since 1851 stores in April.
