Get The Look: Katy Perry at the 2013 Grammy Awards

KATY PERRY ROCKS  THE RED CARPET AT THE 55TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS
Katy Perry stunned in an old Hollywood-inspired makeup look created for her by makeup artist Jake Bailey using products from Rimmel London. Perry was a nominee and a presenter at the Awards, which were held on Sunday evening, February 10th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

EYES:
Bailey defined Perry’s lash line with Rimmel London ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in black. Bailey then used Rimmel London’s Glam’Eyes Eyeshadow Trio in “Orion” to contour Perry’s eyes. Bailey highlighted Katy’s eyelid and brow bone with Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Shadow Stick in “Bulletproof Beige,” and finished the eyes with a rich coat of Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Mascara in Black.

FACE:
Bailey perfected Perry’s skin by mixing 1/3 Rimmel London BB Cream in Light with 2/3 Match Perfection Foundation in Nude to create a base. “The BB Cream sheers the foundation out and gives it a little glow,” said Bailey. Bailey then warmed Perry’s complexion with a dusting of Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush in “Pink Rose” on the apples of Perry’s cheeks.

LIPS:
Bailey completed the look by lining Perry’s lips with Rimmel London Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Natural, and applying a coat of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in “Crush.”

HAIR:
For Katy’s look, Renato was inspired by a 50s pin-up glam girl, with shiny, voluminous hair. To get her look, Renato first applied KMS California ADDVOLUME® styling foam to wet hair. Then, he blew it out using a large round brush to create volume. Next, Renato parted her hair down the middle and applied KMS California FREESHAPE® hot flex spray to ensure the style would last all night. Then, he used a 1 ½ inch curling iron to smooth the hair and create texture. To seal the look, Renato added a drop of KMS California SILKSHEEN® polishing serum. Renato really brought the pin-up girl to life with Katy’s gorgeous, shiny hair, spraying it with KMS California HAIRPLAY® dry touch-up for instant, weightless surface conditioning.

NAILS:
Show stopping nails were the ultimate accessory. Superstar Katy Perry turned to celebrity manicurist, Kimmie Keyes, to complete her winning red carpet look. Kimmie brought her creation to life using the collections from the nail color authority, Sally Hansen.

Katy Perry was up for “Best Pop Solo Performance” for her hit song “Wide Awake.” To make a memorable, dreamy look, Kimmie used Complete Salon Manicure in Pink Pong on the nail and Gem Crush Nail Color in Big Money under the tips.

Katy Perry signs with Coty, Inc., to launch a line of fragrances!

Coty Inc. announced today the signing of multifaceted singer, songwriter and entertainer Katy Perry to develop and market her own line of signature fragrances. As part of the project, Coty will also distribute the artist’s successful existing fragrance portfolio, comprised of Purr and Meow!, effective immediately.

Perry joins Coty’s impressive list of brands that include Calvin Klein, Chloé, Marc Jacobs and Playboy, among many others.

Eight-time Grammy nominee Katy Perry is one of the best-selling recording artists of this era. Her monumental album Teenage Dream, which has sold more than 5 million copies and 50 million single downloads to date, has remained in the Top 40 album charts since its release two years ago. Perry is a global superstar, touring the world with sold out arenas, including 124 live shows in her 2011 California Dreams tour. The tour is documented in this summer’s hit 3D feature “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” which is already the fourth biggest music documentary of all time.

“We are thrilled to have an artist as creative and talented as Katy Perry join us at Coty,” said Renato Semerari, president, Coty Beauty. “Katy is original and daring—her unique approach to music and life will serve as the inspiration behind her innovative new scents and allow us to explore new avenues of scent creation.”

“I am honored to be working with Coty, which has produced some of my favorite fragrances,” said Perry. “I’m excited to share what’s next in my perfumed world as well as making Purr and Meow! more accessible worldwide!”

Katy Perry’s Goes Red!

A very different look for Katy, I can’t wait to see more photos from the shoot.

Hair colour chameleon Katy Perry has gone for an uncharacteristically natural-looking shade of auburn on the latest cover of French fashion mag, L’Officiel Levant. The pop singer is barely recognizable from the kitschy, candy-coloured looks we’ve grown accustomed to with flowing ginger extensions, a full brow and more-natural-than-usual makeup. (It could also be the first time she’s worn a wig that doesn’t… look like a wig!) Although we personally think that this gorgeous shade suits the California Gurl—and gives Perry a fashionable and contemporary vibe similar to Florence Welch.

Katy Perry Is STUNNING in the new GHD 2012 Campaign!

I love Katy Perry’s new ads for GHD, she is so stunning and I love that her personality shows.

A GOOD HAIR DAY WITH KATY
Combine a world famous FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER with a GENIUS HAIR STYLIST, add international singing star and ghd brand ambassador KATY PERRYand leave in an LA STUDIO for two days. Introducing the new ghd 2012 CAMPAIGN.

When life’s a show and you’ve got one of the starring roles, being caught off guard isn’t usually an option, which is why our new 2012 campaign with Katy Perry is something quite special.
Captured in a series of candid black and white shots displaying a natural confidence, it’s a side of Katy Perry we don’t often get to see. The images were shot in LA at the end of Katy’s world tour by world-renowned fashion photographer Ellen Von Unwerth – famous for her sensual and feminine images of some of the world’s most beautiful women.
The campaign is all about showing the confidence that a good hair day can bring, and thanks to superstar session stylist Danilo there was a whole lot of good hair – Katy’s shown with a different style in each of the shots. All the hair looks are effortlessly beautiful and were styled with the range of ghd stylers, the new ghd air™ hairdryer, ghd brushes and ghd style products.
‘It’s a pleasure working with Katy,’ said Danilo. ‘She’s a young, vibrant artist who is really OK about being confident and seeing herself in different ways – extreme, vulnerable, kooky, sexy, expensive looking but playful. She’s a beautiful woman so it’s inspirational.’
Never one to shy away from a new look, Katy totally embraced her hair transformation, while the Glam Squad – her nails, make-up and wardrobe team – provided the finishing touches. Make-up was kept classically Katy, a graphic sweep of flicked black liner across her eye paired with polished skin and either a pretty pink or cherry lip, depending on the look. Wardrobe was chosen to reflect the various sets and props on the shoot and ranged from sophisticated evening dresses to playful prints and a crisp white shirt.
NOTES FROM THE SHOOT SET
LOCATION: LA
PHOTOGRAPHY: Ellen Von Unwerth
HAIR: Danilo
KATY’S GLAM SQUAD: Jake Bailey (make-up), Johnny Wujek (wardrobe), Kimmie Kyees (nails)
SOUNDTRACK: It was happy tunes all the way, think Donna Summer, Human League, The Jackson 5 and Frankie Beverly. Katy sang along to I can’t go for that by Hall & Oates while posing on set and specifically requested George Michael’s Freedom from the iPod – one of her favourites, apparently.
DURING DOWNTIME… Katy chilled in pink fluffy slippers.
BEST MOMENT: As the shoot wrapped it was champagne all round – Katy was the hostess and handed out glasses before the toast.
