Katy Perry has Spring fever!

The singer, who’s dyed her hair many different colors over the years, has gone green!

She showed off her new ‘do on Instagram, saying “SLIME GREEN FOR SPRING by my bb’s @neeenaboo & @brantmayfield at the @mcmillansalon.”

Katy recently told E! News that she was planning the hair change.

“I’ve wanted to go slime green for a long time,” she said at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles’ 35th Anniversary Gala presented by Louis Vuitton. “It’s spring time and I think it’s time to freshen up my look.”

“I’m really excited about slime green, but I hope my hair doesn’t fall out,” she said. As for a new style, Katy added, “I kind of cut my bangs in haste and now I want them gone.”

Katy Perry: “I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed”

Katy Perry stopped by the NPR this weekend to promote her latest album, “Prism,” and play some songs off the new album. She also spoke with host Scott Simon about fame, and her peers in the music industry.

“I do see myself becoming this, whatever, inspiration out of default right now, ’cause it’s such a strange world,” Perry told NPR. “Like females in pop — everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed. But it’s interesting to see …”

When asked if she was talking about anyone in particular (*cough* Miley), Perry continued, “I’m not talking about anyone in particular. I’m talking about all of them. I mean, it’s like everybody’s so naked. It’s, like, put it away. We know you’ve got it. I got it too. I’ve taken it off for — I’ve taken it out here and there. And I’m not necessarily judging. I’m just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card but also it’s nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use that card.”

Miley’s been getting naked more and more, and Gaga is gone and lost her dayum mind – not only her clothes. I can appreciate that Katy keeps herself clothed… I agree, we do not need so much nudity…. it’s just so boring, if you ask me.

Katy Perry lands the latest cover of W Magazine!

Katy Perry lands the latest cover of W Magazine, and she looks gorgeous! The singer opened up about her boyfriend, John Mayer, in the issue, claiming she had strong feelings for him long before they started dating last year.

The 28-year-old admitted she’s excited to be dating her “crush.” “I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great,” she tells the magazine.

While she said she “loved” being married (to Russell Brand), she said “everything happens for a reason.”

“It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now, and I think all things happen for a reason,” she says.

She also opened up about her new song, “Roar.” She explained, “This song is about sticking up for yourself. People talk about bullying, but you can be your own bully in some ways. You can be the person who is standing in the way of your success, and that was the case for me. I was having a great professional streak, but personally, I was really immature, so I had to balance those things out. If you are not happy with something you should change it,” she added. “So I went to a lot of therapy, and finally, I am able to speak up for myself: You are going to hear me roar!”

Katy came to Hollywood when she was just 17-years-old, and it wasn’t easy at first. She came under the wing of producer Glen Ballard, who produced Alanis Morrissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ album. “I was living in Beverly Hills, and a big famous producer had taken me under his wing. I was getting a monthly allowance – I had a Louis Vuitton keychain for my Jetta! I thought I was the bee’s knees,” she explains.

“But it didn’t last: I got dropped from my record label. And the Jetta was impounded. And I couldn’t pay my bills. I suddenly heard no more often than yes. As cheesy as it sounds, the rejection built a lot of character in me. It takes strength to stick around in this business. And I have always been highly ambitious.”

Raised a Pentacostal, her parents were pastors and she was heavily involved in religion. Now, she claims, “I try and keep my connection with the G-O-D or with a power that’s bigger than me,” she says. “It’s important—otherwise, you don’t have any kind of accountability. If you think, Hey, at the end of it all I am just going to be dust, or I have no soul or whatever, why not just be a menace to society? For me, accountability works.”

As for John Mayer, she “believes she can change” the singer, and “doesn’t want to be just another one of his conquests.”
