Jessica Biel is InStyle’s August cover girl!

Jessica Biel is InStyle Magazine’s August cover girl. The ‘Total Recall’ actress looks gorgeous in a Ralph Lauren jacket and jeans, Harry Winston earrings and Gucci heels. In the article she opened up about everything from her fiance, Justin Timberlake to what she’s learned from her parents.

Here are some tidbits from the interview. For more, visitInStyle!

On her engagement ring:

“I had no say whatsoever [in the ring]. I don’t micromanage. He is fearless in his choices and has a real eye for design. And I’ll be honest: He has better taste than I do. When I walk out of the closet after getting dressed in the morning, I’ll go like this [turns palms upward as if to say, 'Well?'] And he goes like this [shakes his head no]. Then he picks again. It’s hilarious.”

Her advice for a happy relationship:

Biel says her advice for having a happy relationship is “letting go of the little stuff. You can’t let it get to you.” Plus, being with an inspiringperson is key to her happiness. “It is important to me to have a partner who is loving and fun – someone who inspires me,” she says. “And he must be a goodperson.”

On where she’ll raise her children:

“I would like those future little people to have the experience I had, in some capacity. It was fun. I love Colorado; I’ve always thought that could be a possibility for me.”

On knowledge gained from her parents:

“The best thing I learned from [my parents] is that you have to put your relationship first. You need to make time for your partner. It’s really easy to let that go by the wayside. It’s easy to say, ‘Hey, I’ll see you later. I love you.’ And you can’t do that.”

On making time for her man (and the other way around):

“Justin and I have a rule that we don’t let a certain amount of time go by without seeing each other, but it doesn’t always work. But from here on out, I want to participate in making smart choices for the relationship.”

On keeping some time for herself:

“In my earlier experiences with relationships, I was really vulnerable to somebody else’s personality, hobbies and way of life,” she says.

“But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become proud of the traits that make me who I am. Maintaining my individuality is really important to me because otherwise I can easily slip into somebody else’s life. So I’m glad I’m getting better at it. It’s a process, but it’s getting simpler.”

Instyle Daily Beauty Tip: Rosy Blush

I love this look, if done right its classy and really brighten and lift the look of my face.

Rosy Blush
People say history has the tendency to repeat itself, and judging from the neon hues all over the spring runways, and Eva Longoria’s sky-high blush, it’s safe to say that the ‘80s are back! Longoria pulls off this dramatic look because of the soft rosy color and blended edges. The effect is striking, but certainly doesn’t bring back memories of big hair and blue eye shadow. Go for a similar look by dusting on a light pink hue high onto the apples of your cheeks, using the natural line of your cheekbones as a guide. Be sure to really blend out the edges for a seamless fade, and do this step before putting on eye shadow or lipstick. By putting down the blush first, you’ll be able to gauge how heavy to go on your eyes and lips so the effect isn’t overdone.
