I’m obsessing over Herbal Essences new line – and you’ll never guess why?

mhu-reviews-he-115

Do you remember those shampoo and conditioner combos from the 1990′s? I can’t even remember the brand (although I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m thinking of Herbal Essences) but I remember the smell…. like it was yesterday. Okay FINE – I’m a child of the 90′s. (Well officially, I’m a child of the late 70′s and 80′s also, but who’s counting!) I remember those first summer camp trips when I was younger, and taking bottles of shampoo and conditioner to use. I remember the smell perfectly. So fruity, so intense…. the smell was so strong you could smell it on the hair for hours after – and that really was the point anyway, wasn’t it?

Well Herbal Essences Hydralicious Collection has me jonzing for the old days! I’m not kidding you this new line is absolutely delicious – forget hydralicious! The scent is so strong – so fun – you will never want to go back to your dull “adult” shampoo again. Every time I try these products I’m reminded of better days…. you know…. the carefree, fun days. I’m dying over this line. It’s just so much stinking fun! You can customize the line – according to your own hair type! I’ve tried them all. My favorite? The water lily and apricot splash. YUM!

Hydralicious contains two shampoo formulas that are swirled together to both cleanse and condition the hair. When combined with water, the swirls release moisturizers that wrap hair in a thick, creamy lather for a fruit-filled, moisturizing treat to leave her with soft, smooth, touchable hair.

The collection includes three different formulas so you can choose the right boost for your hair:

Herbal Essences Hydralicious & Volume Boost for hair that needs body, as well as hydration to counter effects of styling and other sources of damage, with a splash of juicy apricot

Herbal Essences Hydralicious & Silky Boost helps get the right balance of hydration in damaged parts of the hair, leaving it moisturized, smooth and shiny, with the delightful scent of fresh strawberries

Herbal Essences Hydralicious & De-Damage Boost for dry, damaged, frizzy hair that needs extra conditioning with protection against key sources of dehydration such as coloring and heat damage, all with a delicious blend of black currant

Seriously – you don’t need a daughter to try this new line. Do yourself a favor. Pick them up – and be transported back to your wonderful youth! Herbal Essences makes the line – so you know you can trust them! Enjoy!!

Now I want to go back to summer camp.

Kristin Chenoweth cut all her hair off!

kristin-chenoweth-hair

It’s the week of dramatic hair do-overs! First Pamela Anderson cut all her hair off (and looks GORGEOUS), then Jennifer Hudson cut her hair into a cute bob! The latest celeb to cut her hair off is Kristin Chenoweth!

The singer cut her hair off – and her hairstylist, Jonathan Hanosek, shared a picture on his Instagram page.”Look who came to the salon today!!! @KChenoweth went short today for her new film!!” he captioned the shot. “We had sooo much fun!”

Hanousek and Chenoweth have been working together for years, he tells Us Weekly. The haircut “was inspired by her next film with Jennifer Lopez” — The Boy Next Door — but it’s been a long time coming.

“KC and I have been talking about doing something like this for years,” Hanousek tells Us of the Broadway vet, 45. “I think that having this film come up gave her the freedom to just go for it.”

And stick with it, too. “She is in love with her new haircut!” the West Hollywood-based stylist raves. “I’m sure that we will maintain it for some time.”

What do you think about Kristin’s cut?

Is it just me – or does she look sickly?

From the Lab: New monthly service sends you FULL SIZE samples!

mhu-reviews-1016-3

How did you hair end up at the end of the summer? Tired? Bleached? Dry? My hair always ends up different at the end of the summer, after months of swimming, sun and chlorine. By time September and October roll around, I’m in dire need of a hair pick-me-up.

I was sent this Hair Mask from a company called From The Lab.

From the Lab’s Hair Mask No. 718 contains stem cells from the rare Uttwiler Spatlauber apple, never before used in the USA and known for its longevity and ability to prevent hair’s signs of aging. The Hair Mask No. 718 also contains a unique blend of Argan, Avocado, Jojoba, and Brazil Nut Oil. These ingredients have all stood on their own, but combining them together creates something special for your hair – a moisture and softness that surpasses any other hair treatment! You’d only feed your body the best nutrients possible, so why not do the same for your hair?

So who is From the Lab? It’s a company much like Birchbox or Beauty Box 5, except they send you one, two or three full-size samples, from companies up to 18-months before they are released! The products are shipped the first week of every month, and if you love the products you’re sent, you can buy them through the online store!

I LOVE the idea of From the Lab. I love Birchbox, and the like, but I would much rather get full-size bottles than samples. If I like something, it’s frustrating to only get a little taste! Using From the Lab, you get full-size samples. Who doesn’t love that!

With that said – I tried this mask a handful of times – and it’s AMAZING. I love how my hair feels when I step out of the shower. I’m so glad I have a whole bottle of it!

Price: $19.95/month

Your hair can still be fabulous – even when you’re traveling!

mhu-reviews-101414

You know what I hate? Hotel shampoo and conditioners. You know those tiny bottles that are only good for like two days, and then your hair feels like straw after? They are awful. Typically, whenever I travel, I like to take my own products…. make sure my hair won’t break in two when I tie it up and go.

I was sent a sample of Antica Farmacista’s Grapefruit Conditioner – in a travel size – and it’s absolutely perfect for your next trip!

The Antica Farmacista Conditioner offers a beautiful way to deeply moisturize and fragrance the hair. It’s enhanced with natural ingredients intended to target hair that is oftentimes dry and stripped of essential oils. The formula contains silk amino acids, chamomile, honey and sweet almond oil. The rich lather is silky and creates the perfect foam that results in clean, beautifully moisturized hair.

It feels amazing, and smells beautiful! Give it a try!!
