Wearing Her Lyrics On Her Sleeve:
“What I write isn’t necessarily a greeting card. Sometimes it’s a confession of something that really hurt me.”

Taking It All In:
“I don’t have the option of having thick skin. As a writer you have to be open to everything.”

Always consider “giving someone the benefit of the doubt,” she says. “Until he establishes that this is a game… And if it’s a game, you need to win.”

Claire Danes looks gorgeous on the cover of Glamour Magazine

claire-danes-glamour-1

Claire Danes looks absolutely stunning on the new cover of Glamour Magazine. In the magazine she opens up about getting older, her husband Hugh Dancy, and more.

How much are we all loving ‘Homeland’ this season? It is SO MUCH BETTER than the last season! I’m obsessed! (I’m also obsessed with ‘Masters of Sex’! Please tell me you’re watching it.)

Anyway, here are some highlights from the interview!

On getting older: “I’m happier in my thirties. I feel clearer about who I am and less apologetic about it, and more accepting of my limitations and also more aware of the ways in which I’m capable. I was always looking forward to this time because people talk about it in very romantic terms. And I think it’s true. Gravity hasn’t had too profound of an effect, and you’re a little less emotionally gangly. The twenties are a deceptively challenging-slash-painful time. I’m just glad to be out of that phase.”

Speaking of her 20′s: “I was meandering a little. And a lot of the mysteries of life have been illuminated [since then]. Like, OK, this is the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. This is my son. This is my city. This is my home.”

On husband Hugh Dancy: “I’ve been with Hugh for…seven years? It really doesn’t feel that long. It feels new every year because there is a new set of challenges: Who are we to each other now that we’re married? Who are we now that we have this shared person? We never have to fight to keep it fresh and new. Life just demands that of us.”

Relationships are hard: “Yeah, relationships are a constant negotiation and balance. I’m just a hard worker, so [in previous relationships] I took that creed “Relationships take work” a little too literally at times and stayed in relationships longer than I maybe should have, because I thought, Well, no pain no gain… And it’s nonsense if it’s just not working. You have to leave and end it.”

Date nights and crushing on her husband: “Well, it’s true that you often kind of forget to see the person you’re most intimate with, but occasionally I’ll come to and sort of think, Oh my God! You’re really, really good-looking! [Laughs.] I’m embarrassed now! It’s nice to occasionally have that flash. People talk about “date night,” and it is true: Sometimes you have to apply yourself, or at least apply lipstick to yourself. You kind of have to dress up, just because. You know, wear heels to your own dinner table.”

The reality of date nights: “Sometimes it feels totally absurd, ’cause we’re just going down the block and he’s wearing his “smart” blazer. Like, who are we kidding? We know where this is going: We’re going back home to watch Breaking Bad. Still, those gestures are important. It just hasn’t stopped being fun.”

PHOTOS: Glamour Magazine chooses Lady Gaga as their “Woman of the Year”

gaga-glamour-dec-1

Glamour Magazine chose Lady Gaga for their December issue, naming her the “Woman of the Year.”

Gaga wore a beautiful gold Gucci wrap for the cover. Inside the magazine, Gaga opens up about how she doesn’t consider herself “conventionally beautiful,” but she’s grown to love who she is on the inside, rather than the outside.

“If there was some sort of mathematical equation for beauty, I don’t know if I would be the algorithm,” Lady Gaga tells Andy Cohen, who interviewed her for the Glamour story. “I’ve always been OK with that. I’m not a supermodel. That’s not what I do. What I do is music. I want my fans to feel the way I do, to know what they have to offer is just as important, more important, than what’s happening on the outside.”

“I’m confident in who I am,” she adds. “I’ve come to a place in my life where I’ve accepted things that are me, as opposed to feeling pressure to explain myself to people around me. That’s just the way I’ve always tried to be. It didn’t change when I became a star.”

Speaking of becoming a star, Lady Gaga didn’t just leave behind her normal day-to-day life, she let go of her real name: Stefani Germanotta. The “Applause” singer admits she only allows family and close friends to call her Stefani.

“I’m both all the time. Gaga and Stefani are my nicknames. I guess when people meet me for the first time and call me Stefani, it bothers me. Because it’s something that’s reserved for only the people who are closest to me,” she explains. “It’s not because I don’t like my given name; it’s that I became somebody else. I became somebody else for a reason, you know. This is part of what my message is — you can become whoever you want to be, to escape your past.”

I think she looks great on the cover, believe it or not. I think she can be so much MORE beautiful when she’s not looking like this. I don’t know why she tries so hard to be “artsy,” it just comes off as plain weird. But in these pictures, she looks great!

The gorgeous, pregnant, Jenna Dewan strips down for Glamour Magazine!

Jenna Dewan-Tatum has to be one of the cutest pregnant celebrities out there – no? Maybe it’s because she gets to wake up next to Channing Tatum every day. I’m sure that counts for something.

I’d be glowing too if I was married to one of the hottest celebrities out there! The two met and fell in love while on the set of 2006′s ‘Step Up.’ Three years later they got married, and all of a sudden Channing’s career took off, including landing People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” cover in 2012.

Jenna just landed a role on the new TV series ‘Witches of East End,’ and is about to become a first time mom. Glamour Magazine sat down with the pregnant beauty and checked in with her:

On being married to an actor…

“Most actors and actresses are consumed by careers and getting ahead. Channing and I are ambitious, but our relationship comes first. We take everything day by day, saying, ‘OK, how can we make this work together?’”

On her new body…

“I thought my body was going to change so quickly with pregnancy that I’d freak out. But it was really gradual. There’s a reason women are pregnant for nine months; by the end, you’re ready to have this baby. Channing has been great. He takes the route of no confrontation, just support, saying things like, ‘Do whatever you want! What do you want to eat? I’m going to leave it up to you.’”

On parenting styles…

“Who knows what kind of parents we’ll be? We have two dogs, so we’ve had some practice! And as soon as this baby comes into the world, Channing and I will figure it out real fast.”

On that balance thing…

“I think, How in the world am I going to do all this? I have no idea what I’m up against. But I’m as mentally prepared as I can be. It’s an adventure!”

Love her! How do you find your work-life balance?
