Get The Look: Mila Kunis In Laura Mercier at the London Premiere of “OZ The Great and Powerful”

Mila Kunis “OZ the Great and Powerful” London Premiere
February 28, 2013
Look by Tracey Levy for Laura Mercier

Makeup artist Tracey Levy created a “modern and sexy” makeup look for Kunis, who stars in the upcoming movie, “OZ the Great and Powerful.” Levy noted that for this premiere, Kunis turned to a soft, sexy Alexander McQueen evening gown “with a bit of mystery.” Levy noted that she and Kunis were both pleased with the final look, which she described as “so sexy, while yet so feminine.”

FLAWLESS FACE:

  • As soon as Kunis stepped out of the shower, Levy prepped her skin with RéVive Intensité Moisture Serum Extrême ($350) to restore the skin’s natural moisture, followed by Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($32) to ensure her makeup looked fresh through the entire evening.
  • She then applied Laura Mercier Oil-Free Suprême Foundation in Sunny Beige ($43) to even Kunis’ skin. She applied “a touch” of Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3 ($30) around Kunis’ nose and under her eyes to conceal minor imperfections.
  • Next, she dusted Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder in Universal ($35) onto the skin to set the look. Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder #2 ($22) set the under-eye area.
  • Levy then contoured Kunis’ cheekbones using Laura Mercier Bronzing Powder in Golden Bronze ($32) and dusted the powder onto her neck and chest to give her a glow from head-to-toe.
  • She used Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Peach Mosaic ($40) to highlight the star’s upper cheekbones.
  • Lastly, she applied Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Praline ($24) onto the upper apples of Kunis’ cheeks and blended the shade with the existing shimmer.

“SOFT GREY LAVENDER SMOKY” EYES:

  • Levy applied Laura Mercier Eye Canvas in EC-2 ($26) to ensure that Kunis’ eye makeup would last throughout the entire evening.
  • Next, she lightly dabbed Laura Mercier Baked Eye Colour in Silver ($23) onto the middle of Kunis’ lid to add a highlighting effect.
  • Then she smudged Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst ($24) into the crease and along the top and bottom lashlines.
  • To add depth, Levy then used Laura Mercier Crème Eye Liner in Noir ($22) to line Kunis’ eyes. She also applied Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye liner in Black Ebony ($23) along the water line.
  • Next, she filled in Kunis’ eyebrows using Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil in Deep Blonde ($20) and set them with Laura Mercier Eye Brow Gel ($20).
  • Levy finished the eyes by applying two generous coats of Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara ($24) to Kunis’ top and bottom lashes.

NUDE LIPS:

  • Levy lightly lined Kunis’ lips using Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Naked ($22).
  • To complete the look, she lightly applied Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Lips ($22) using her finger.

Get The Look: Natalie Portman’s Classic French Twist with Living Proof

Natalie looks stunning. Does she love empire waist dresses or might she be hiding a baby bump?

WHO: NATALIE PORTMAN

HAIR BY: CHRIS McMILLAN, LIVING PROOF CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLIST

INSPIRATION: “We kept it really chic and simple. Natalie’s hair had a Richard Avedon, 1960s feel. Her dress was empire waist, so her hair had that same 60s vibe. Kate Young, Natalie’s stylist, had sent me some pictures of ideas she had so we started with that for inspiration. Natalie said that from the front it looked like she’d cut her hair short, and then from the back you saw this beautiful French twist. She called it a fakeout short haircut, which she loved.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I used Living Proof Prime Style Extender while Natalie’s hair was still damp so that her style would last all night. Then I blew it dry with a round brush from YS Parks – a line of Japanese brushes that’s just unbelievable. I created a classic French twist, using bobby pins and teasing it a bit to give it a bit of a cushion. It wasn’t too high – it was a bit lower on her head, with a really beautiful shape in the back. Last, I used Hold Firm Hairspray to smooth it all down, get rid of any flyaways, and really give it that shiny, smooth, lacquered finish. The whole look – her hair and her dress – looked so chic and modern.”

LIVING PROOF RED CARPET REPORT OSCAR AWARDS 2013

WHO: JENNIFER ANISTON, LIVING PROOF CO-OWNER AND HAIR CARE SPOKESPERSON

HAIR BY: CHRIS McMILLAN, LIVING PROOF CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLIST

INSPIRATION: “The key word is natural. She’ll be one of the only people there who is able to actually touch her hair. Jen’s Valentino gown was such a daring fashion choice, so we wanted her hair to make her feel comfortable. I created a look that would last the entire night, from the red carpet to when she presents. “

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “First, I washed the hair with Living Proof Full Shampoo and Conditioner. I then applied Prime Style Extender to wet hair and massaged through for a lasting style, while still allowing the hair to have movement. Using a large round brush, I blew out the hair straight with a deep, side bang. Finally, I applied Hold Flexible Hairspray to the roots for height and lightly sprayed the rest of the hair.”

Get The Look: Kate Beckinsdale in Rimmel London at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

ENGLISH BEAUTY KATE BECKINSALE GIVES THE VANITY FAIR OSCAR PARTY RED CARPET A BRITISH EDGE WITH RIMMEL LONDON

All eyes were on Kate Beckinsale last night as she illuminated the Vanity Fair Oscar Party red carpet in a gorgeous strapless Monique Lhuillier gown complemented by a fresh and glowing makeup look. Kate’s makeup artist Molly Stern worked with Rimmel London to give the actress’ beautiful outfit a Rimmel London edge.

Face:

Molly began by prepping Kate’s skin with By Terry’s Sève de Rose ultra-glow serum and then sparingly applied Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. She then based her cheeks using Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Peach Glow. A touch of rose was given to Kate’s cheeks with Laura Mercier Cream Blush in Rosebud and to finish off her radiance Molly dusted the apples with Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in Santa Rose.

Eyes:

For Kate’s mesmerizing stare, Molly made her eyes pop with a sexy golden khaki hue. She started the look by applying Rimmel ScandalEyes Eye Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige and continued to deepen her shadow with NARS Double Shadow in Paramaribo. She then defined Kate’s stare using Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Black to line her eyes super close to the upper lash line as well as just below the lower lash line. For the extra pop Molly lined the inside of Kate’s wet line with Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude. To finalize her sexy bold eye look, she then applied two coats of Rimmel ScandalEyes Show Off Mascara in Black.

Lips:

To finish off the look, Molly applied Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Pink Blush and topped it off with Rimmel Stay Glossy Lipgloss in Always Lovely.
