Get The Look: Jenna Dewan Tatum in Pür Minerals at the 2015 Golden Globes

Jenna Dewan Tatum in Pür Minerals at the 2015 Golden Globes

Celebrity makeup artist, Jake Bailey, gave Jenna Dewan Tatum a glowing, natural look to blend into the palette of her stunning lemon chiffon dress. Bailey wanted to give Tatum a golden, neutral look that wouldn’t compete with her gown.

Bailey started by prepping the skin with the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Crème. He applied the Pür Minerals Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact Foundation in Medium for a flawless finish, allowing a natural glow to come through. He then put the Pür Minerals Chateau Cheeks Cream Blush in Coy followed by a small amount of Nars Loose Powder in Beach. Bailey also added Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight on the bridge of her nose, cheekbones and brow bones to add depth to her natural glow.

Next, Bailey wanted to use a plum shadow to make the green in her eyes pop. He used several shades from the Pür Minerals Soul Mattes Eye Shadow Palette to apply the eggplant shade on the lid and the taupe shade around the edges to create that smokey, sultry look.

“I then used the Pür Minerals Eye Defining Pencil in Onyx along the lash line to really define her eyes,” says Bailey. He applied the Troy Surratt Brow Pencil and Anastasia Brow Gel on her brows and finished with a few coats of the Pür Minerals Big Look Waterproof Mascara on the lashes.

Lastly, Bailey applied the LaMer Lip Balm as a base to the lips, followed by the Pür Minerals Chateau de Vine Mineral Lipstick in Georgia Peach and a pop of the Chateau Lip Gloss in Scandalous.

Get The Look: Lorde at the 2015 Golden Globes in Kat Von D Beauty

WHO: Lorde, Golden Globe Nominee for Best Original Song (“Yellow Flicker Beat,” The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I)

MAKEUP BY: Amber D for Kat Von D Beauty

INSPIRATION: “We really wanted to play with a look that was strong and powerful but that felt classic. The Golden Globes is such a glamorous event so it was key to look chic but to also stick to Lorde’s sharp edgy style. I visited the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA last week and was awestruck and inspired by a breathtaking painting from Mark Rothko that had washes of orange and red juxtaposed next to dirty greys, which made me feel like it might be time to revisit a more orange based lip this awards season.” – Amber D for Kat Von D Beauty

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “Lorde is fearless and never afraid to try new looks so we wanted to try a look that was classic but that also felt new. To start, we created a luminous base using the Kat Von D Lock-It Featherweight Primer ($32) and blended it with a moisturizer for maximum hydration and luminosity. A tiny amount of Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation ($34) was buffed over the face using Sephora Collection Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 ($32) and was delicately perfected using Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Concealer ($25) with Sephora Collection Pro Airbrush Concealer Brush #57 ($24) to ensure a flawless complexion. To finish off the face, we added a sheer flush and slight contour and highlight, as we wanted to keep the main focus on the eyes and lips. For the eyes, we set brows with a clear gel and applied washes of neutral color of the Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette ($46) by swiping shimmer shadows across the lid and then sculpting the corners with matte shades. We added a striking accent to the eye with an unexpected bronze liner using Kat Von D Lightning Liner in Hyde ($20) to make the eyes sparkle and then finished off with a few false lashes and gentle coats of Kat Von D Immortal Lash 24 Hour Mascara ($20). And for the lips, we made them pop with a mix of lip balm and Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Countess ($21), a gorgeous matte hot orange red.”

Get The Look: Emily Blunt in Kiehl’s at the 2015 Golden Globes

Emily Blunt 2015 Golden Globe Nominee ~ Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards ~ Los Angeles, CA ~ January 11th, 2015

Makeup by Jenn Streicher for Kiehl’s and Dior Beauty

“Emily is wearing a gorgeous white Michael Kors dress with to-die-for jewels by Lorraine Schwartz – both the dress and jewels were custom made just for Emily. I can’t remember the last time Emily wore white on the red carpet! Because she just returned from a sunny get-away, her skin was perfectly bronzed for a white gown. And because we decided to have her hair loosely back I wanted her makeup to be soft and ethereal and just a pop of color on the lips to bring out the jewels.

“The first and most important step is prepping the skin. I started with Kiehls’ Ultra Facial Cream and Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. And because I knew Emily would wear a matte lip, I slathered her lips in the Kiehls Lip Balm #1. I then started on Emily’s eye makeup so her skin treatments could properly absorb.”

“For her eyes, I dabbed on Dior’s Backstage Eye Prime over the entire lid and then mixed 2 of the lightest shades of Dior’s eye palette “Cuir Cannage” #796 over the lid. I also mixed two of the darker shades of the same palette in her crease, concentrating on the outside corners and a bit on the lower lash line. I also brushed a bit of her blush (Cocktail Peach #553) on her lids. I dabbed on Dior’s long wearing cream shadow in Chimere over the entire lid to give it a little shimmer. And, of course, tons of Dior Show Mascara.

“Before I started on the foundation, I used a bit of the Kiehls Micro-Blur Skin Perfector in the T-zone and then applied the Diorskin Star makeup followed by the Diorskin Star brightening concealer to cover any little imperfections or redness.”

“And then, for my favorite part of the look, Dior lipstick #169 Grege with just a bit of the new Rouge Dior Lipshine in #808 over the top. Emily told me it might be her favorite look I’ve ever done on her!”

Get The Look: Lucy Hale at the 2014 MTV VMA’s

2014 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpet

mark. Brand Ambassador Lucy Hale hosted the MTV VMA pre show last night. Check out how to get her makeup look from celebrity Makeup Artist Kelsey Deenihan. All mark. products are available on

To start I applied La prairie Cellular creme platinum rare ultimate rejuvenating cream all over Lucy’s face followed by Armani luminous silk foundation in #6 for a flawless base. Next I set the base with mark. Great Finish Pressed Perfecting Powder in Light. After the face was set I applied mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Amped Up. The darker slightly shimmer powder works great as a contour and adds subtle color to Lucy’s cheeks. I finished the cheeks with mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes to really catch the light and illuminate the cheek bones.

Lucy’s eye shadow is a mixture of shadows in the middle row of the mark. On the Dot Neutral Eye Color Compact. I used the darkest shade in the outer corners and went gradually lighter toward the inner eyes. Bringing a darker shadow to the outer corners elongates the eye giving them an almond shape. Underneath the eye I smudged the same darker shadow from the mark. compact (middle row far right) starting thicker on the outer corners and lightly blending inward toward the inner corners of the eyes. I added mark. No Place to Run Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Set (black). To the top and bottom water lines. This is the best liner for the water lines Since its waterproof and won’t budge! I finished the eyes with a couple generous coats of mark. Lash Act Mascara in Blackest Black.

2014 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals

With the eyes being the focus I added a simple neutral mauve gloss to Lucy’s lips. She’s wearing mark. Glossworks Longwear Lip Gloss in Roseland for the red carpet. With a quick change into an Oscar de la Renta dress to host MTVs preshow we changed Lucy’s lip to a bright magenta gloss by mark. She’s wearing mark. Glossworks in Tempest.
