“Zoe’s dress was so inspiring. I wanted to create a “not too perfect” up-do by adding texture and movement to the hair, while keeping it modern and fresh.” – Says Mara Roszak of the hairstyle she created for Zoe Saldana at tonight’s Screen Actors Guild Awards®.

Step-by-Step Styling
1. Apply Wella Professionals Extra Volume Mousse to wet hair and rough dry
2. Then, using a 3/4″ barrel curling iron, add waves to the hair by rotating the direction of the curl
3. Once the whole head was waved, spray Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz on the hair to break up the wave and add texture
4. Loosely pull the hair back into a low pony and secured it with an elastic
5. Then split the pony into two sections and braid them both, then wrap the braids into a bun and secure with bobby pins
6. Once the hair is up, apply a dab of Wella Professionals Bold Move styling paste to fingertips and define a few pieces around the face
7. Spray all over with Wella Professionals Stay Firm finishing spray

Get the Look: Kate Beckinsdale at the Underworld Awakening

Molly Stern, Celebrity Makeup Artist, explains how she created the star’s red carpet look – a perfect elegant meets bohemian look inspired by her Jenny Packham gown, and mirrored in her makeup: natural tones that kept her look soft with a seductive edge.

Face:

· To ensure she looked flawless throughout the evening Molly prepped Kate’s face using the iconic Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance, $30. Then she applied Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Fawn, $42 to enhance Kate’s extremely natural glow. Molly then highlighted her cheekbones and nose with Laura Mercier Secret Brightener, $30 to give Kate an extra kick of light.

Lips:

· Kate’s glistening lips were created with Laura Mercier Baby Doll Shimmering Lip Glacé, $22.

Eyes:

· Molly used a blend of Laura Mercier Luster Eye Colour in African Violet, $22 and Laura Mercier Luster Eye Colour in Crystal Beige, $22 for the base and then add a line of Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Liner in Mahogany Brown, $22. She finished off her lashes with two coats of Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara, $24.

On Trend, On The Red Carpet with Blushington.

The Golden Globes may have come and gone, but some of our favorite red carpet makeup trends are here to stay. Emma Willis, Director of Artistry at Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge in West Hollywood, dishes how to get Kate Beckinsale’s Golden Globes look!

Kate Beckinsale had that gorgeous bronze glow to her that made her eyes pop! Re-create this look at home with these few simple steps:

Apply a light veil of radiance or illuminating foundation to the face and make sure to blend well…..apply it to the T Zone area and blend out!! Next, cover any little blemishes and dark circles under the eyes with a little concealer.

Warm the cheeks and forehead with bronzer – be careful to choose a warm tone of bronzer, as some can be too orange!

Next, take a golden, bronze shadow and work into the eyelids and then bring underneath the lower lash line -blend and buff well to leave soft edges.
*You can enhance the eye a little more by adding a darker shade of bronze into the socket of the eye! Fully line inside the lower water line of the eye and the secret to making the eye really “pop” is to line the UPPER inner water line as well…..really works!!!

With these expert tips from Emma, just add mascara and a little clear, shimmery gloss and you’ll be one step closer to looking like the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. Blushington is the go-to makeup & beauty lounge that will have you flawless in no time!
