Kenneth Cole Vintage Black

kc-vintage-black.jpg

Is it time to update your mans scent? I was just sent a sample of Kenneth Cole’s Vintage Black and its the great scent for the man in your life. I love the mix of mixture of scents, the black pepper adds the perfect spice to the citrus top notes and finishes off with a warm woody scent. With my husband celebrating a birthday at the end of this month it’s the perfect gift for him that I get to enjoy as well!  The black bottle has a great modern look that stands out from the usual fragrance bottle design.

Kenneth Cole Vintage Black Eau de Toilette
Top notes: Lime, Pink Grapefruit, Dewy Greens, White Pepper
Middle notes: Icy Tequilla Accord, Lavendar, Sandalwood
Base notes: Oak, Cedarwood, Musk
An edgy and provocative scent that’s steeped with seduction, Kenneth Cole’s Vintage Black is for the masculine, metropolitan man who exudes power and confidence.

A fresh aromatic with top notes of mint, fresh fruits, watermint, mandarin, basil and ginger. Mid notes of intense cedar leaf, nutmeg, incense and lotus flower make way for the rich and stimulating dry down of black suede, violet leaves, musk, ambergis and exotic woods.

The Best-Selling Celebrity Fragrance of All Time!

liz_taylor_fragrance.jpg

Sean “Diddy” Combs may have a hit with his latest fragrance, I Am King (it sold out in 16 minutes on HSN last week) but he has yet to rule the celebrity fragrance market here in America.

According to the research whizzes over at Chicago-headquartered Euromonitor International, the venerable Liz Taylor still leads the pack in U.S. fragrance sales, bagging $67.2 million in 2008 for her White Diamonds scent, first released in 1991 by Elizabeth Arden. (Diddy trailed Taylor by nearly $20 million, with 2008 sales of $48.5 million.)

Other scent-sations include Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely, Derek Jeter Driven and Glo by J.Lo. Any surprises? Well, the polarizing Celine Dion ranked third, inching out SJP by a little less than $1 million. And, somewhat puzzlingly, Antonio Banderas made the cologne cut, too.

1. Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds –$67.2 million
2. Sean John Unforgivable — $48.5 million
3. Celine Dion — $26.4 million
4. Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker — $25.7 million
5. Derek Jeter Driven — $24.1 million
6. Diavolo by Antonio Banderas — $18.8 million
7. Glo by J.Lo — 18.5
8. Curious by Britney Spears — $14.3
9. Fantasy by Britney Spears — $10.1 million

Sarah Jessica Parker’s B.O. inspired fragrance!

sarah_jessica_parkerbo.jpg

This picture really has nothing to do with this article, I just think it’s a really funny picture of Sarah Jessica Parker (if it’s even a legit picture of her…her head does look funny). Okay – back to my post.

Sarah Jessica Parker has taken inspiration for her new fragrance from body odor.

The Sex & The City star has already made her mark in the perfume world with her signature Lovely scent and now she’s working on a top secret follow-up for 2010.

And the idea behind the fragrance is to make it smell just like B.O.

She tells WENN, “I’m working on a new genderless fragrance that’s not out yet. I can’t even tell you what it’s called.

“It has taken me three years to decide on the scent because I really like B.O. and I think it’s sexy. I wanted to figure out a way to make it palatable to everybody. I was like, ‘How do you get B.O. in a bottle and make an atomiser of it?’

“Then it was all about trying to capture the sense of naughtiness in a bottle that it would be good for a man and a woman.”

Parker has been trying out the new scent on journalists and bloggers during her press tour for new movie Did You Hear About the Morgans?, in which she stars with Hugh Grant.

Jocelyn’s Christmas Must-Have, Number 1!

mhumust-have10.jpgmj-lola-line-up-3_r60lr.jpg

Two years ago, Marc Jacobs launched the wildly successful Daisy. I love Daisy, it’s such a great scent. I never actually splurged on buying it – but everytime I go to a Sephora – or Macy’s I definitely spray it on.

I was recently sent a sample of Marc Jacobs LOLA (in quite possibly the cutest packaging I’ve ever seen) and immediately I want to claim this scent as my own. It is so ME! I wonder if everyone will feel this way. It’s just the best scent ever, probably one of – if not the one favorite perfume I’ve ever smelled.

Those that follow this site probably know that I never really review many fragrances, because I’m so darn picky. But this scent is amazing. It’s so unbelievably intoxicating – that’s a great way to put it. When it’s released – you need to go check it out. See for yourself. You won’t be sorry!

LOLA is my favorite fragrance of 2009 – in my opinion is the best scent of the year. LOVE IT! Perfect Christmas present! Look how beautiful the packaging is!

LOLA is a warm floral bouquet – irresistibly alluring, vividly tempting. The fragrance is an intoxicating swirl of rich layers, wrapping the skin in sensuous florals blooming with a signature of the fuschia peony.

LOLA sparkles with fruity topnotes of delectable bright pink peppercorn, seductive pear d’anjou and succulent ruby red grapefruit. The ultra-feminine heart is highlighted by the lavish dischia peony with soft touches of rose and geranium.

The base lingers on skin exuding a warm and seductive aura with enveloping notes of smooth vanilla, tonka bean and creamy musk.

“Where Daisy is more innocent and sweet, Lola is more sensual — the name conjures up a flirtatious, warm spirit,” Jacobs told WWD.

Taylor Lautner for Giorgio Armani fragrances?

91008ne1_lautner_b_gr_01.jpg

Taylor Lautner is poised to become the next face of Giorgio Armani.

According to a fashion insider, the Italian designer is trying to sign the Twilight hunk for a new ad campaign for fragrances, as well as for his more affordable line of clothing, A/X Armani Exchange.

“Giorgio has offered Taylor a deal rumored to be worth millions for the ads,” the insider reveals.

And although a rep for Taylor denies the story, the insider adds, “Taylor is flattered and really considering it.”

If he does take the job, he’ll have some big briefs to fill.

Soccer star David Beckham sent huge crowds into hysterics when he turned up at Selfridges & Co. in London to unveil his underwear ad.

Taylor completely bulked up to play the werewolf Jacob in New Moon. “I went from a men’s small to a men’s large,” he says.

Dita Von Teese, joins the likes of Nicole Richie in her love of Quelques Fleurs perfume.  Recently Dita was asked via her Twitter what her favorite perfume was, and she replied “Quelques Fleurs, for years now”.

quelques_fleurs1.jpg

Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant perfume was launched by the design house of Houbigant in 1912—and it is a true classic that has endured the test of time. The blend of soft, sensual florals uses more than 250 different raw materials and more than 15,000 flowers to create just one ounce of Quelques Fleurs eau de parfum. To this day it is still produced in Grasse, France, where Jean Francois Houbigant first created his perfumes in 1775. The succulent scent wrapped in a theme of sculptured petals in a frosted and clear French glass.

We had a great big magnolia tree in the backyard and it’s that beautiful white blossom that inspired the perfume. In Bloom is indicative of where I am in my life today. I’m feeling very strong and independent, and so happy, so full of life. The fragrance truly captures that feeling – it’s very sensual, very romantic and alluring.” – Reese Witherspoon for Avon
