Akon Files Suit Over Konvict Fragrance

R&B singer Akon has filed a lawsuit against his former business partners alleging they used his name for a new perfume without permission.

The Grammy-nominee and founder of record label Konvict Muzik was recently in talks with fragrance developers to create his own scent, reports the New York Daily News.

However, according to documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court on Friday, the Smack That star was stunned when perfume executives formed Konvict Cosmetics International and started selling a scent called Konvict without his approval. Akon is demanding the company ceases production.

Representatives from Konvict Cosmetics had not responded to requests for comment as WENN went to press.

YSL redesigns Opium bottle‏

OPIUM! A new bottle!

YSL has done a fabulous job of updating the look of a classic fragrance. The transparent window recalls the “O” and is luminescent like the sun of a dreamy, imaginary world where the Opium fragrance takes you. I love it. (only the bottle has changed, the fragrance remains the same).

BREAKING: Jennifer Aniston Releases Her First Ad For Lolavie and Talks About Her Scent!

Jennifer Aniston’s first ad image for her new fragrance, Lolavie, is out, and it features the actress lounging on the beach in Cabo. She opened up to WWD about the process behind its creation and revealed that she’ll launch the perfume this Summer at Harrods in London with a special in-store appearance. It’s Jen’s first foray into creating a product, though the field of celebrity fragrances is certainly a crowded one. Jen discussed how she tried to make her scent unique, and she also touched on her career in film and aspirations to direct. She said:

•On the name Lolavie: “It’s a long story and honestly it’s too personal to tell. But it has special significance.”

•On controlling her public image: “I don’t think you can control that at the end of the day. You can’t stunt what you do to please or not please the public. And the media will create stories whether they are true or false. So why stop doing what makes you happy? Be true to yourself and everything else will follow.”

•On getting dramatic in her upcoming film Buttercup: “Obviously, I’m drawn to comedy, good or bad. But I love doing parts that are different and I sprinkle those throughout to get creatively unstuck.”

•On the possibility of directing: “I have a project in development I’m going to direct. After you get enough movies under your belt, you sit back and go, ‘What’s next?’ It’s getting to be the time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction.”

Jennifer Aniston’s Perfume Name: Lola Vie

Jennifer Aniston has a sense of humor.

A rep for the actress, 41, confirms to UsMagazine.com that her first fragrance will be named Lola Vie, which roughly translates into “laughing at life” in French.

Another tabloid incorrectly reported it as “Lola V.”

“I’ve worked on it for over a year,” Aniston recently said of her scent to London’s Capital Breakfast Show. “When they asked, I don’t think they really expected me to be [so] picky. But you’ve got to have it smell right.”

Women’s Wear Daily first reported that the Falic Group, which will release Eva Longoria Parker’s scent, Eva by Eva Longoria, this April, is behind Aniston’s perfume.

The Bounty Hunter star is also a spokeswoman for Glaceau’s SmartWater.

Diesel releases an Iron Man inspired cologne!

Iron Man 2 is one of the most anticipated movies this year, and along with its popularity a range of manufacturers have decided to cash in on Iron Man’s success. One of these is clothing an fragrance manufacturer Diesel who are releasing a limited edition Iron Man Cologne.

It looks like this limited edition fragrance is Diesel’s ‘Only The Brave Cologne’ with Iron Man packaging, so maybe it wont make you smell like Tony Stark after all. We suspect Tony Stark uses something more exclusive and more expensive.

The Diesel Iron Man Cologne will be available sometime next month for $67.50.

I kinda want to smell it, not gonna lie.
