Shakira lands the cover of Elle Magazine!

Introducing ELLE’s July cover girl- Shakira! The Colombian songstress and judge of NBC’s The Voice opens up to the magazine about being a new mom, her relationship with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique, and what’s next for her music.

On her co-workers, the male coaches on The  Voice:

“In general, I think I’ve treated the boys with mercy.”

On her relationship with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique:

“He has his own world and that’s actually one of the healthiest things about the relationship.  I know that he’s the one person who is with me not because of any interest other than the love than unites us.  There’s nothing I can offer him beyond my womanhood – does that word exist in English?”

Her experience as a new mother:

“I’m still trying to figure it out.  And I have a feeling I will try to do the same for the rest of my life.  Some people put it like it’s very idyllic, some people put it like it’s a torturing experience, but it’s not quite one thing or the other.  It’s like life – it  comes with everything.”

On her music and what’s next:

“I have no idea of where I want to go musically, but I’m fine that way.  I don’t need to remain faithful to any concept, you know.”

Amy Adams lands the cover of Elle UK, looks amazing!

Amy Adams lands the Elle UK cover, and I think she looks gorgeous. Different, but beautiful, nonetheless. Amy is promoting her new role in ‘Man of Steel.’ The actress takes on the role of Lois Lane opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman.

Anyway, in the new issue of Elle, Amy opens up about her insecurities, being an actress and Superman!

After filming Catch Me If You Can: “I choked. I felt this pressure to suddenly be this level of actress that I wasn’t confident enough to be. I did a series of really bad auditions, I let the nerves get the best of me. And the couple of years after that it was, ‘I can’t do this. I’m not strong enough to continue with this level of rejection’. It was, ‘What am I going to do with my life?’ I was staring down 30. I was lost, confused.”

Insecurities: “Being an actress hasn’t made me insecure. I was insecure long before I declared I was an actress. I like not being noticed. It has been a struggle because I love performing, but if I’m in a group of people and someone has a bigger personality I’m like ‘Go ahead, and have fun!’ It looks like a lotta work.” CONTINUE READING…. Miley Cyrus lands the June cover of Elle!

First of all – can you believe we’re already looking at the JUNE 2013 issue of anything? Half the year gone?? I mean, I know it’s still technically April, but c’mon now. Time is flying by so much quicker these days (and by these days, I mean these days as an almost-36-year-old).

Anyhoo…. Miley Cyrus, 20,  lands the June cover of Elle UK, and inside the magazine she opens up about her engagement to fiance Liam Hemsworth.  I’m not sure when Elle UK sat down with Miley for the interview, but I’m thinking it was long before the two had reportedly split. Rumor has it Liam was caught cheating with January Jones. Even though the two were caught sneaking out of Chateau Marmont together, I’m surprised how much attention it’s getting. Meaning – I’m starting to think they actually DID cheat. That January Jones. Seriously.

Being engaged to Liam: “We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it any more.”

On being private: “We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight — into my life and my puppies and my house –- and I just don’t feel they get that privilege any more. Like on my Twitter, I’m much more . . . not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. You don’t get that personal stuff any more.”

There’s more to her than good looks: “A star is someone who doesn’t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that’s not just showing your tits. I don’t want to be a glorified model. They just walk on stage and it’s all about their clothes — or lack of clothes.”

Hollyweird: “This isn’t like any other place. Everything is meant to be attractive, from the people on the sidewalks to the gold fire hydrants in Beverly Hills.”

On fame: “I feel like Rapunzel. Rapunzel with a mohawk!”

The beautiful Adele covers the May issue of ELLE Magazine!

UK singer-superstar Adele covers the May 2013 issue of Elle US for their Women In Music issue, which also features Alicia Keys and Rita Ora.

The music issue includes a tribute to Adele and the thoughts of fellow musicians – including Katy Perry, Britney Spears, John Mayer and legend Barbra Streisand – on her meteoric rise to fame.

Adele talks to Elle about taking her time with her third album, the highest point of her career, the worst show she ever performed and the song which always gets her on the dance floor.

On her third album: “I’m writing the songs now, and then I’ll want to rehearse them for a while. As much as I love my first album, there are still things that I wish I had done differently. So I don’t want to rush anything. You’re only as good as your last record, so if I put out something that’s shit, nobody’s going to buy it. If it’s crap, people will be like, “Why was she ever such a big deal?” So I have to take my time. I mean, if it takes me three years, I imagine people will start getting a bit nervy… but I’ll do my best to avoid that.”
