Gisele Bundchen lands the July 2014 issue of Elle Canada. The Brazilian supermodel opens up about her body (again) and about the World Cup which will be held in her homeland this year.

On her relationship with her body: “The body is a temple. I enjoy moving. I don’t play much volleyball anymore, but I ride horses, surf and play beach tennis. I play wherever I am. Kung fu, boxing, yoga, Pilates…. It makes me feel alive. If I don’t move my body, I don’t feel good.”

On career longevity: “People trust me when they book me for a job. The minimum I give them is 100 percent. I’ve never been late for a job, I respect people and I want to be at my best every time: to show up and deliver. When I lose that, I’ll stop. I’ve done a million photos in my life, and my excitement for it remains intact.”

On attending the World Cup in Brazil: “Well, I would like to score a goal myself. [Laughs] I’m very proud that I was born in Brazil. I love the spirit of the Brazilian people. There’s something magical about it. There’s a viva—there is joy. There is warmth—a sense of welcome. When I first came to America, I was hugging and kissing everyone and people were shocked. Soccer supporters will come from different parts of the world, and they will experience that side of Brazilian life—all that beauty and energy.”

Below is a picture she posted on her Instagram page recently. I suppose if I had her body, I wouldn’t shut up about it either. :)

The gorgeous Angelina Jolie covers Elle Magazine!

angelina-jolie-elle-june

Angelina Jolie lands the June cover of Elle Magazine, and not just the US edition. She covers ALL of Elle’s June covers  – which includes 20 international editions. The actress is promoting her new movie, ‘Maleficent,’ which explains why she’s on 20 covers. It’s surprising to see her on the cover of a magazine, I feel like it’s been a while since we’ve seen her promoting a new movie. In the gorgeous photos, Angelina wears Yves Saint Laurent – exclusively. She looks amazing. I love that she only wears black. Girl after my own heart.

Whether she’s tackling films, family, or philanthropy, Angelina Jolie has never been one for small measures. As she prepares to terrify children worldwide as Disney’s deliciously evil Maleficent (the film opens on May 30th), the actress and director works with Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane on a shoot that spotlights her stripped down, very real self for ELLE’s June cover—as well as a 16-page portfolio that will be featured in more than 20 editions of ELLE around the world.

Jolie spoke candidly with ELLE deputy editor Maggie Bullock about life with her fast-growing children (Shiloh’s got a half-pipe!), doing only the work that really matters (including the biggest passion project of her career), and why she and Brad are still passionate and “more interested in each other” than ever. In this exclusive preview, Jolie reflects on the perception of her early years in the spotlight:

The tumult of her twenties, was “misinterpreted as [me] wanting to be rebellious,” Jolie says. “And in fact it wasn’t a need to be destructive or rebellious—it’s that need to find a full voice, to push open the walls around you. You want to be free. And as you start to feel that you are being corralled into a certain life, you kind of push against it. It may come out very strange, it may be interpreted wrong, but you’re trying to find out who you are.”

Miley Cyrus covers the Women in Music issue for Elle Magazine

elle-elle-00-may-cover-miley-cyrus-0514-h

ELLE’s May issue is devoted to women in music, so who better than the Bangerz girl herself for the cover? Miley Cyrus looked very natural and absolutely stunning while shooting the issue, one could say she is quite comfortable in her own skin.

Hair Look:
Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist, Andy LeCompte created a texturized style for Miley’s platinum pixie. It looked remarkable with the minimal makeup and her sparkly Marc Jacobs jumpsuit.

Feeling motivated to join in the Hollywood pixie trend? Here are some tips on how Andy achieved the severely chic short-haired style.

Andy LeCompte created lightweight style by starting with a strong base for hair using Wella Professionals Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner for color-treated hair. He primed Miley’s wet hair with Wella Professionals Oil Reflections to increase shine to overall end look. Then, blowing hair dry in all directions, he roughly used his hands and a small ceramic brush to tousle locks. Andy finished by spraying leave in conditioner onto his hands and ran through Miley’s hair, giving moisture as well as that much desired texture seen on the cover.

Katie Holmes lands the April cover of Elle UK

holmeselleuk1

Katie Holmes lands the April cover of Elle UK, and inside the magazine she opens up about her six-year-old daughter, Suri, living in New York and much more.

She admits that Suri’s upbringing is much different than her own, which was spent on the western end of Lake Erie in her native Toledo. “Children are exposed to so much more than we were, I suppose every generation goes through that feeling, “Oh my God, it’s so different from how I grew up,’” she said. “I think the basics are very important: the number one thing is making sure my child feels loved. And good about herself. And that what she does and who she is, is special and important, and should be celebrated. And my mum always said, ‘No one loves you like your mother.’”

Katie, who gave birth to Suri in 2006 when she was married to Tom Cruise, admits that motherhood has changed how she views women. “I think all of our experiences bring us to a greater understanding of ourselves and help us realise what is most important. That being said, I have three older sisters and one older brother and I went to an all-girls school, and have always been a fan of women. I support women and all experiences give you more insight into others, as well as yourself.”
