Dior lands another ‘Black Swan’ actress! Last year Natalie Portman was seen in Miss Dior Cherie fragrance ads, and were a huge success!  Now, Natalie’s ‘Black Swan’ costar Mila Kunis has also signed on to join the label’s list of A-List models!

The softly-lit campaign for the label’s spring 2012 collection sees the Ukraine-born actress, 28, dressed in black, posing with the new Miss Dior handbag.

It is a major coup for a girl who describes herself as a ‘jeans and T-shirt’ type.

Miss Kunis told WWD: ‘I’m honestly just learning about fashion… In my daily life, I don’t wear the most feminine pieces. But I love to feel feminine when I’m on the red carpet.’

Indeed, it seems we can expect to see her wearing much more of the label at premieres and during the coming awards season.

‘I find that Dior is an incredibly grounded house,’ she continued. ‘I always thought what Dior does is so sophisticated, feminine and beautiful.’

The feeling is mutual too – bosses at Dior are besotted with the rising star, who last year starred alongside Justin Timberlake in Friends With Benefits.

Delphine Arnault, deputy general manager at Dior, told WWD: ‘Mila Kunis is a very talented young actress… Her performance in Black Swan was remarkable. She is very gifted.’

Explaining why Dior was looking to Hollywood for its campaigns, she added: ‘Christian Dior designed several costumes for the movies and maintained personal relationships with such actresses as Marlene Dietrich, Rita Hayworth, Ava Gardner, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor and Grace Kelly.

‘It is thus only natural for the house of Dior to continue to develop a very specific and personal relationship with actresses.’

Miss Kunis, who admits posing for Dior ‘wasn’t the hardest thing to do’, joins an illustrious line-up of house models for Dior.

As well as Miss Portman, the names count A-listers Marion Cotillard, Jude Law and Charlize Theron.

The campaign will launch in China later this month, appearing in U.S. titles from the end of January.

I think Mila is gorgeous. She has such a sensual beauty. Perfect fit for Dior if you ask me!

Inspired by a 1973 short film by famed fashion photographer Richard Avedon that stars Lauren Hutton, the new Dior film features Marion as a young Hollywood movie-star, frolicking pool-side for a Dior TV commercial. She looks the part too, complete in oversized sunglasses and floppy hat. The teaser shows much of the film’s footage only sliced into quick frames for our intended deciphering.
