FIRST LOOK! Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly. Thoughts?

Nicole Kidman for Vogue Germany August 2013-006

Today we’re getting our first look at Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly! Up until now, all we’ve gotten is pictures, and now we get to see her in motion!

The Weinstein Company has finally unveiled the first trailer for ‘Grace of Monaco,’ starring Nicole Kidman as the late princess, Grace Kelly. The film will be released in the UK in November.

The trailer gives us a glimpse at Nicole as Grace, while Frank Langella narrates. Tim Roth co-stars as Prince Raineer III.

I’ve said from the beginning that I’m not exactly sold on Nicole as Grace Kelly, and I don’t think the trailer proves me wrong. I don’t know if Nicole can pull it off – but then again – who could. Grace was in a league of her own!

Julie Chen reveals she underwent plastic surgery to look “less Chinese”

It’s secret week on The Talk this week. The hosts have been sharing their own personal secrets, and yesterday’s revelation from Julie Chen might take the cake for most shocking!

The 43-year-old Chinese-American co-host revealed that when she was beginning her career as a news anchor, she got plastic surgery to make her eyes look more American.

“My secret dates back to—my heart is racing—it dates back to when I was 25 years old and I was working as a local news reporter in Dayton, Ohio,” she said. “I asked my news director [if] over the holidays, if anchors want to take vacations, could I fill in? And he said, ‘You will never be on this anchor desk, because you’re Chinese.'”

“He said, ‘Let’s face it Julie, how relatable are you to our community? How big of an Asian community do we have in Dayton?'” she said. “‘On top of that, because of your Asian eyes, I’ve noticed that when you’re on camera, you look disinterested and bored.'”

“Well, fast forward, I’m like I need to get another job—if I can—so I start meeting with agents for career advice,” she said. “This one big-time agent basically told me the same thing. He said, ‘I cannot represent you unless you get plastic surgery to make your eyes look bigger.”

Chen talked the surgery over with her parents, who gave her their support. “After I had it done, the ball did roll for me, and I wondered, did I give in to the man? I have to live with every decision that I’ve made,” she said. “And it got me to where we are today. And I’m not going to look back.”

I think it’s pretty impressive she admitted it, and her eyes are obviously not the only thing she’s had tweaked. Her nose is much smaller than it used to be.

PICS: Lady Gaga lands the October cover of Elle Magazine!

Lady Gaga lands the October cover of Elle Magazine, and inside she opens up about why she uses the name Lady Gaga, her struggles as an artist in the beginning, and recovering from her hip surgery.

On handling pressure: “What are you talking about, pressure? I’m great under pressure. I’m a warrior. I’m Rocky, round 12.”

The difference between Gaga’s high-priestess act and the girl who spends time with her family: “I am—Stefani is—a perpetually tortured artist. That’s why I changed my name. I can’t be her in public. She would be a mess!”

On raging against the critics who question the authenticity of her early struggles: “Everyone is so cynical—that I can’t purely love my fans, or share an honest story about my past, without someone asking me if I really, truly struggled. Do you know how much dirt I ate? Do you know the men I had to crawl through, the people that disrespected my body, my mind, my heart?”

How she used her forced hiatus to “go back to the core” and prepare to prove herself all over again—this time not just as a pop star but as a pop artist to prepare for her new album Artpop: “I went to look back to myself being 19, with all my Warhol books and all my Yoko Ono and John Lennon CDs, my Rolling Stones CDs and my Bowie…, and I said, what would she want me to do right now? Well she’d want you to call Jeff Koons and Robert Wilson and Marina Abramović and Inez and Vinoodh…And that’s what I did!”

Earlier today I commented on how much she drives me nuts, and this article isn’t helping the matter. Every time she talks about herself, she talks about her struggles – and how much crap she had to endure to get where she is. We get it – Gaga – it wasn’t easy to get where you are. You can stop talking about it now.

Kelly Osbourne is releasing a clothing line that will include plus sizes!

kelly-osbourne-cosmo-july1

Kelly Osbourne has been all over New York Fashion Week. She’s making the rounds not only as co-host of E!’s Fashion Police, but also to promote her new clothing line. Kelly says the new line will be plus-sized friendly. What does she mean by that? She has said that all of her clothes will cost the same – whether you’re a size 2 or 24.

Will opening up about her new line, she also humorously opened up about her own chest size, saying it’s getting bigger without explanation! Here’s more from Kelly on her clothing line – and boobs:

1. The clothes will be bigger, yes, but not more expensive. “First thing I want to make very clear: I’m not just doing a plus-size line. I’m doing a line for every girl that goes past a size 10. In my research, I’ve found that the prices go up after size 10 and that really hurts my heart – it’s not fair! So with my line, the size 2 will be the same price as the size 24. Yes, there’s more fabric and yes, it costs more to make, but it will be the same price for every girl that wants to wear it, end of story.”

2. That said, the clothes will be large enough to accommodate her, uh, growing bosom. “I have no idea what’s happening to me – my boobs have grown very large and I don’t know why,” she confesses. “Everyone is like, ‘You’re pregnant, you’re pregnant!’ and I’m like, ‘No! that’s not happening!’ It’s kind of fun, though. It’s nice have them for once.”

3. Crop tops will probably be involved. And her dad Ozzy will probably rock one, too. “I’m always in crop tops. I love them. In fact, the funniest Tweet I’ve ever received was from my father after I posted a pic of myself wearing a crop top. He said, ‘I love that shirt! Can you get me that shirt?’ and I was like ‘No, Dad! It’s a crop top!’”

I think it’s great – her approach to clothing. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with – and I wonder where they’ll sell it? Will it be high end clothing – or clothing normal people like moi can afford?
