Britney Spears is featured on the December cover of Lucky magazine, talking about whom she admires, style wise, and what her two boys think she does when she goes off to be a judge on “The X Factor,” reports ExtraTV.com.

Britney laughed, “They try to figure out where I go when I go film ‘X Factor.’ They’re like ‘Mommy’s going off to be a superhero.’”

Britney said she admires fashionista Jennifer Lopez, because she is “a classic beauty,” and Sarah Jessica Parker because “her looks are really bright and funky and young.”

This month, The X Factor judge Britney Spears makes a splash on the cover of ELLE’s October issue, on newsstands nationwide September 18th. In the issue, Spears opens up about dealing with haters, her laid-back sense of style, and even how her relationship with fiancé Jason Trawick began.

Britney Spears will enter our living rooms next week as one of the judges on ‘The X Factor’. I’m really interested to see how she does on live TV.

On dealing with paparazzi scrutiny:
“I guess I’ve been under the microscope so long that I don’t even pay attention to the nonsense anymore. I gave up getting upset about things people make up about me a long time ago.”

On her laid-back style:
“I love my jeans and my sweats- I’m really just a tomboy at heart. So it’s really hard for me to be like Kim Kardashian and be makeup- and hair-ready every time I go out of my house. I’m not a believer in that, you know? On the other hand, when you do wear those sweats, you’re like, Oh God, I should step it up a notch.”

On her relationship with Jason Trawick:
Jason Trawick tells ELLE Britney made the first move in their relationship: “It was kind of one of those things where she moved, like, turned around, so we were face-to-face, and then-” Britney’s response? “Okay, that’s enough information, sweetie. It was sweet, just say that.”

Britney Spears may be a pop-star diva to the rest of the world, but to beau Jason Trawick, “she’s his everyday princess,” says celebrity jeweler Neil Lane, who designed Spears’s dazzling engagement ring to befit Trawick’s vision of the singer’s down-home regality. “Jason is a romantic and when I asked him to tell me about Britney and what the ring would represent to them so I could find inspiration, his response was always the same — she is his princess!”

With that theme in mind, Lane tells PEOPLE he designed from scratch a tiara-motif sparkler with a round, perfect white diamond in a handmade platinum setting that “looks like a mini crown,” the celebrated jeweler says. He also added 90 small round diamonds around the eternity band. “Jason didn’t want an over-the-top ring with a giant stone,” he adds.

Over the last month, Lane and Trawick clocked phone and email minutes as they collaborated while Trawick was traveling with Spears on her global tour. “Texts came from all over the world, from Abu Dhabi, Mexico and I don’t know where else!” says Lane.

But when Trawick stopped into Lane’s Los Angeles store to pick up the ring — less than one week before the proposal! — they both knew the hard work and scheming had paid off. “Oh my god, he loved it,” Lane shares, adding that he could tell Trawick had pre-proposal jitters. “The guy was so excited and nervous. At the end of the day, even with all the fame, he’s still a normal guy who was about to propose to the woman he loves.”

That said, Lane believes this couple is in it for the long haul. “He’s deeply in love with her. Britney is his princess and he is her knight in shining armor,” he says. “Jason’s protective of her. He adores her. Every good fairytale needs a princess, and now Britney has a ring fit for a princess!”

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick certainly had a lot to celebrate this month. Not only did the pop star and her beau celebrate their 30th and 40th birthdays, respectively, a source confirms to PEOPLE they’re now engaged!

In fact, the pop star’s longtime love proposed on his birthday Thursday night in Los Angeles. “He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night,” a source says of his proposal with a Neil Lane sparkler.

Sources recently told PEOPLE that Trawick was ready to pop to the question – and that the two had “been talking about marriage for a long time.”

And, early Friday, Spears started dropping hints about her big news on Twitter.

The singer began dating Trawick, her former agent, in 2009.

Spears has two sons, Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, whom she divorced in 2006.

“She’s very happy. It’s going to be a great weekend,” says another source. They plan to celebrate tonight in Las Vegas.

Britney Spears is being sued by a former business partner for breach of contract, fraud and deceit, according to RadarOnline.com.

Spears and her father, Jamie, are accused of cutting Brand Sense Partner, LLC. out of commission it’s owed on a perfume deal it brokered for the pop star with Elizabeth Arden. Brand Sense and Spears renegotiated their original 2003 deal last year but the brand marketing company is now claiming the new agreement violates the original.

In fact, they claim Spears and her father acted secretly to cut them out of the deal.

“Britney secretly made a separate deal with Elizabeth Arden in a sneaky underhanded effort to circumvent and evade its obligations to Brand Sense,” the suit states. “Effectively, Britney improperly and illegally cut Brand Sense out of the Elizabeth Arden deal.”

The company is seeking declaratory relief in excess of $10 million, as well as, compensatory and punitive damages.

No word yet on the suit from Spears’ camp.

Britney Spears turned her latest video ‘Hold It Against Me’ into a commercial selling several beauty products – including her own fragrance, Radiance!

She also promoted Make Up Forever cream eyeshadow.

According to PopEater, the singer isn’t sweating critics who have expressed disapproval over the display. In fact, she’s laughing all the way to the bank.

The pop star raked in a cool half a million dollars for prominently featuring a number of brands in the video, including Sony and dating site Plenty of Fish in addition to the cosmetics and perfume.

Spears has heard from her fair share of detractors in the industry over the video, including Katy Perry, who tweeted about the obvious product placements, “do it w/style & grace…Not so in ur face like some. U hv to get creative w/it. Some artists don’t care tho, & u can tell.”

Despite the hefty price tag, sponsors whose products were promoted in the video only received a few seconds of air time, with some companies receving only one product shot (in conjunction, of course, with Spears’ implied endorsement of the product).

One group that isn’t complaining is Spears’ advertisers, who are already reaping the benefits of their investment.

Plenty of Fish has already reported a 20 percent increase in traffic to their site since Spears debuted her video last week.
