All week I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I should go tanning. With Erin and I going to California on May 31st - I don’t want to look so freaking white!
My sister keeps telling me I should just go do Mystic Tan, which I might actually do. To keep my face looking tan and gorgeous, I should try this NEW product from Benefit!
What it is: A bronze facial tint with tan-i-tude.
What it does:
Who needs makeup when you’ve got tan-i-tude? This bronze facial tint adds sun-free color to your complexion with a silky smooth finish. Easy to apply and wash off, this formula is the quickest way to create a custom tan.
Benefit’s creaseless cream shadows is one of my favorite eyeshadow products, it stays on forever and the color is great for building the perfect smoky eye. I can’t wait to try these new shades!
You’ll fall in love with our 3 new shades for spring. They’re sterling pink, brushed copper and rose metal, designed to flatter all skin tones in a smudge-proof cream. Use them to line, shade & contour your eyes… no need to save these for your wedding day!
What it is:
A complexion-perfection kit for the gal on the go.
What it does:
Benefit’s The Fast & the Flawless is filled with our fastest fake-its and a step-by-step lesson on how to look flawless…fast! The lesson includes how to fake foundation, how to “fake awake,” how to fake long lashes, and how to fake a flush on the lips and cheeks. As a bonus, the set includes a limited-edition mouse pad that reflects the enticing art on the bag.

The limited-edition, Sephora-exclusive kit contains Some Kind-a Gorgeous, Eye Bright, Get Bent Lash, a Benetint deluxe sample, a mouse pad, and a makeup lesson.
Do self tanners keep you guessing? Not sure what you’re going to look like the next morning? Get instant tanification with Benefit’s “talk to the tan.” Smooth this sheer facial tint evenly over face & neck-colleté for an instant healthy “tanned” glow. The streak-free color stays put until you wash it off. A little body chemistry goes a long way for your own custom tan.
Tips and tricks: Blend evenly onto complexion. Wanna go deeper? Apply a second time. Washes off easily with a cleanser. And remember to clean your hands before running out the door! Avoid eye area.
I had the chance to attend a great concert last week and see A Fine Frenzy perform. A Fine Frenzy is the band name for the uber talented Alison Sudol a 22yd old self taught pianist and singer/songwriter. Her lyrics are reminiscent of fairy tales and if the lyrics aren’t enough to draw you in Alison’s haunting voice has you hooked.
On top of being musically gifted Alison is gorgeous, I swear some girls get it all! I love her makeup so I did a little hunting to find out her favorite products which I have listed below. Alison even does her own hair and makeup for her shows I have included some of her DIY beauty tips. Also be sure to check out her video for “Almost Lover” and grab her album One Cell in the Sea!
What it is:
A long-lasting, lifting, curling, lengthening mascara.
What it is formulated to do:
Like a push-up bra for your lashes, this jet black “wonder-lifting” mascara lifts lashes with a scientifically angled brush to make eyes look bigger, while increasing lash volume and imparting the curviest curl - ever!
What it does:
This oil-absorbing powder keeps a handle on shine. The finely milled formula provides a smooth, flawless finish. Your skin looks clean and polished, never cakey or heavy. Perfect for touchups anytime, anywhere.
Alison Sudol: I do this thing with my mascara when I’m in a hurry: when I can’t get my eyeliner done correct, I use the mascara wand and I gently rub it against the bottom of my eye and it gives me sort of a messy, smoky look. A makeup artist taught me once to get a brown or dark purple eyeliner and warm it up on your thumb. Let it warm up and use the applicator side and gently put it on your eyelid and rub it in, and you can put eyeshadow over it to get a nice smoky eye. And blush. Even if you don’t have time to put on anything else, blush perks you right up.
