Aveeno teams up with Jennifer Aniston for a stunning Oscars look!

Last night, AVEENO® Global Ambassador Jennifer Aniston showed off her glowing skin at the 87th Academy Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Jennifer’s make-up artist, Angela Levin, created the star’s natural look with the help of AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Daily Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion. Read on for Angela’s insider beauty secrets to recreate this red carpet look!

One of the most important parts of make-up application on a day like the Oscars is longevity – it has to last all the way from the red carpet to the event and throughout the after parties. I started by hydrating Jennifer’s face and neck with AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Daily Moisturizer SPF 15, and to accentuate her glowing arms and shoulders, I used AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion.

· I applied a thin layer of Youngblood Mineral Primer on her face and neck followed by a light layer of CHANEL Perfection Lumiere Velvet in 50 Beige. As a finishing touch I used CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour in No. 50 to achieve that sunny glow.

· I applied CHANEL Cream Blush in Destiny to her cheeks as a base and then brushed on CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in 190 Angélique.

· For her eyes I used CHANEL Eye Shadow base in Lilac on the eye lids and followed with a light powdering of Ben Nye Translucent Fair. For her eye shadow I used CHANEL Tisse Paris and the purple and black from L’intemporel De Chanel.

· To finish the look I used CHANEL Rouge Coco 400 Louise, with Rouge Allure Gloss Sensual mixed with Glossimer 41.

Dontcha just LOVE oatmeal? The health benefits seem to be endless!

  • They are full of fiber – which helps lower cholesterol.
  • They are FULL of healthy minerals.
  • They are low in calories.
  • They reduce the risk of coronary artery disease.
  • They reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.
  • They lower blood pressure.

And that’s just what’s on the INSIDE!

Here are five ways to reap the beauty benefits of oatmeal:

  • Bath soak: For a truly relaxing bath, pour a cup of plain oatmeal into your tub as it fills up with warm water. Then add a few drops of lavender oil or a pinch of dried lavender. Soak in this aromatherapy solution for 15 to 30 minutes. The oatmeal will cleanse your skin and lock in moisture, while the lavender produces a calming, soothing scent.
  • Itchy skin remedy: According to the American Academy of Dermatology, “itchy, dry skin often has a high pH level, but oatmeal can help normalize your skin’s pH, which can relieve itchy, uncomfortable skin. Oatmeal baths also soften and moisturize your skin, which helps lock in moisture and protect skin from exterior irritants.”
  • Face wash: Oatmeal contains chemicals known as saponins that are characterized by their intense cleansing properties. Saponins are commonly added to shampoos and detergents for it’s emulsifying and foaming abilities that create a rich lather. Dr. Stuart believes this makes oatmeal ideal to use as a face mask, cleanser or soap for every skin type, especially sensitive skin. For a simple homemade recipe, mix whole oatmeal with warm water into a paste and add a teaspoon of honey. Rub the cleanser onto your skin in circular motions to cleanse face. The antibacterial action of honeywill also help to relieve inflamed skin and alleviate dryness.
  • Exfoliator treatment: If over-the-counter scrubs tend to leave your skin raw and red, try exfoliating with a do-it-yourself treatment with blended colloidal oatmeal, coconut oil, brown sugar and lukewarm water. You’ll get the same cleansing and buffering properties without all the unnecessary harshness. Plus, the coconut oil will give your skin a healthy-looking glow.
  • Dry shampoo: Just as oatmeal works wonders at removing excess dirt and debris from the body, it can also help to reduce the appearance of dirty hair. Blondes can brush through a light dusting of finely ground oats throughout their strands to soak up excess oils. Your homemade oatmeal dry shampoo will also help to relieve an itchy scalp.

Get the Look: Jennifer Aniston looks FLAWLESS at TIFF!

Last night, AVEENO® Global Ambassador Jennifer Aniston showed off her glowing skin at the premiere of her upcoming film, Cake. Aniston’s make-up artist, Angela Levin, created the star’s natural look, which she debuted at the Toronto Film Festival, with the help of AVEENO® products. Read on for insider beauty secrets from Angela Levin to recreate Aniston’s effortless look!

I started the day by prepping Jen’s skin with AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. It’s very gentle and leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh, making it a perfect surface for makeup application.

I proceed by applying AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Daily Moisturizer SPF 15 on her face and neck. Jen loves this moisturizer – it feels light on the skin and is very effective in keeping it hydrated and toned throughout the day.

I then applied a light coat of foundation by CHANEL Perfection Lumière Velvet, in two colors – 60 Beige on her neck and outer areas of her face and 50 Beige in the center. By doing that it makes the eye area, lips and cheeks slightly brighter.

I then used CHANEL Les Beiges in N50 as a bronzer on her forehead, chin and cheek using the brush that comes with the compact. I love this product because it’s matte and I can build the application to heavier or lighter.

For her checks, I mixed CHANEL Cream Blush in Chamade with Make Up Forever Cream Blush 335 and gently applied using my fingers, creating a sun kissed natural look.

After applying all the creams and powders I focused on her eyes and used a combination of Revlon Eye Shadow Chocolate and Melon and Edward Bess Prismette Eye Shadow Quad in Cosmic Bliss. They are all rich warm colors that really bring out Jen’s gorgeous blue eyes. I always finish the eyes with the one and only inimitable intense CHANEL mascara in black – no eye liner was used for this look.

To finish the look I slightly filled her eye brows with Senna Sketch-A-Brow pencil in light taupe.
