Make your own facemask
With so many lotions and potions lining the shelves it can be easy to spend a fortune on expensive beauty products. This can leave you short of pocket, however, so why not whip up your own organic facemasks instead and invite your friends round for a pamper session? There are many recipes you can try, but the mashed banana and oat variety will soften and exfoliate your skin at the same time.

Raid your kitchen cupboards

Use tea to combat puffiness
Most of us enjoy a hot brew in the morning, but did you know tea is also good for your eyes? That’s right, refrigerated tea bags are thought to cool and soothe the skin and are believed to get rid of any puffiness you may be experiencing. The tannin in black tea is said to drain excess fluid while the anti-inflammatory properties of camomile can leave you fresh faced, so it’s worth experimenting if you have the time. Hate tea? Then a few slices of cucumber can work just as well.

With summer rapidly approaching, many people will head outside in the hope of getting a tan. Sure, a bit of colour can be attractive, but it’s essential to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays. You don’t want to end up with lines, wrinkles or even skin cancer when you’re older so whack on some cream with a high SPF factor and cover up when possible.
