Dark colors are going to be huge this fall – I’ve been seeing them on celebrities right and left! Sarah Michelle Gellar showed up at Self Magazine Gala on October 4th, with some beautiful navy blue nails!  What do you guys think?  Would you try it?

Here is Kirsten Dunst at last night’s Glamour Reel Moments party in Los Angeles.  I love the purple eyeshadow!  I think it looks totally cute under her eyes like that.  It really makes her blue eyes pop! I might have to try that myself.  I found some great purple shades on MAC – and thought I would share!

How the stars fake perfect skin: Neutralize redness!

Mask broken capillaries and red patches with a heavily pigmented camouflage cream. “Pick one with a yellow base to counteract the red,” Quynh tells Us. Adds Molly Sims’ makeup pro Monika Blunder, “Dot a tiny amount onto skin and use the tip of a concealer brush to cover small areas like capillaries.” For larger areas of redness, gently pat (don’t rub) it into skin with fingers.

Diffuse dark spots!

To even out discoloration (e.g. sunspots or melasma), blend a liquid foundation all over and then “dab a heavy concealer only on dark areas to keep from looking overdone,” advises Ali Larter’s makeup artist Mai Quynh.

Want to look freckle-free? Opt for a stick foundation instead of liquid for more coverage. Try Max Factor Pan-Stik makeup ($7, drugstore.com).
